CFG degree

Has anyone completed the CFG degree? Considering putting in an application for the next cohort and having a bit of a wobble about the time commitment 😵‍💫

Honestly, as someone else said upthread, I'd take the syllabus and try to get a base level understanding of coding languages across it before the CFG degree starts.
That's my plan anyway. But sort of expecting a rejection again (gone a bit negative and self doubting at the mo).

Does anyone know if the interview with the company is online?

It depends on the company, I think most of them are online interviews but some will ask people to come in for face-to-face interviews. With the last cohort I think there was only 1 company doing face-to-face interviews.

Aw always think positive, I'm praying your successful this time round. But yes that is exactly what I'm going to do. I've just started a SQL course on UDACITY which is really good so far. Then I'm going to start my python course that I bought on UDEMY. wishing everyone luck who has also applied for the autumn cohort

Hi everyone,
Can anyone remember what the dates were for potential interviews for the autumn CFG degree start? I stupidly didn't note them down at the time but I can't find them now, and I'm trying to organise my summer leave/work/childcare/days out etc and don't want to find I've accidentally double-booked anything. I think it was possibly last week of July and first week of Aug... anyone know for sure?

@Rosti1981 on the website they have a generalised timeline, but perhaps they can't be more specific until they have the numbers through?

Yes possibly... I thought that when I applied there was part of the form that said "I am available for interviews between X and y dates" and I just want to double check I'm not going to inadvertently book something with kids in that period that can't be moved/changed!

i think you can email them and ask them to change it or confirm the dates

Just to add, I haven't actually HEARD anything yet. So all my speculation is purely hypothetical linked to trying to sort out work/childcare/activities for the summer!

I’ve seen a couple of people saying they have company interviews on a thread via Reddit ‘Code first girls (CFG) autumn 23 cohort’. Which company did you apply for? I applied for EDF.

It looks like the company you apply through isn't necessarily the one you get - the emails mention placing people with companies.

yeah a few people on the forum have heard back from those company's but only 1 person has heard back from natwest saying it's under review! everyone else who applied for natwest haven't heard anything

me too, looks like natwest are taking the longest to get back to anyone.
