Today

B: bacon and eggs fried
L: tuna mayo with cucumber
D: mince and mushrooms with fried cabbage
S: a few cherry tomatoes and a slice of ham

Thanks for the help with the soya milk guys, my book came in the post and you're right, Zoe is not a fan! Interestingly, I read a few days ago that one of the leading experts that slammed soya over hormones and breast cancer etc has done a u turn and said go ahead, drink it! I made a mistake! They don't say that often. Xxx

Justchillaxing · 14/10/2017 00:25

Interesting. I must admit I don't like the taste or smell of it so I don't drink it. I miss milk but prefer tea without rather than with soya.

Are you going to join us on the thread? Smile

That's good to hear about soya milk possibly losing it's demon status. We drink a lot of it in our house.

L: courgette 'lasagne' sheets with ricotta and spinach, salad
NLY
D: crustless broccoli quiche and salad.
Then it all went pear shaped....😩
I went to a friend's house warming party - consequently my dry October came to an abrupt end. The wine led to handfuls of crisps, tortilla chips, trifle (!!!) and chocolate.

Today is a new day.....

Sue1111 · 14/10/2017 13:11

An obvious newbie, love to join the thread, no idea a how to though!

honeyandginger48 · 14/10/2017 13:54

Hi Sue

Welcome!

I just tend to post what I've eaten (good and bad😊) and any other thoughts....

I'm attempting to combine Harcome and 16:8 fasting in order to lose a bit of weight and put a stop to mindless snacking on cr*p. It's slow going and I keep falling off the wagon.... but I'm going to keep going...

Justchillaxing · 14/10/2017 14:10

Sue I'd just read the book then start with phase one. If you've any questions ask away.

I find posting each day helps me stay on the straight and narrow.

In a way it's great because you don't have to count calories. But it's very difficult when you're out as everything in cafes seems to be bread based. So worth planning ahead.

Sue1111 · 14/10/2017 17:57

Been chipping away at the book.
Todays menu, phase 1 day 3 .........
Bacon, eggs,tomato
Yoghurt
Chicken and veg curry with brown rice

Drinks, herb teas.
Curry definitely the highlight. Can you have pork scratching?

Justchillaxing · 14/10/2017 18:32

I don't think so, on phase one - they're processed. On phase two, maybe ... they're low carb so I guess ok with fat foods.

I'm having a bad day so made a choice and bought some 85% chocolate for tonight and also some double cream. I'll also have a small wine and soda .. i don't drink much but really fancy a small one tonight. Hope it won't set me back too much.

honeyandginger48 · 14/10/2017 20:08

L Crustless broccoli quiche, Cottage cheese and beetroot salad

D Low carb risotto (made with cauliflower rice) and tomatoes, beetroot

Justchillaxing · 16/10/2017 09:58

I want to get back on track but i don't know what to eat today. Can't be bothered to cook much, fancied maybe soup for lunch but not sure any Covent garden ones are acceptable?

Might make something with mince for dinner but not sure what.

I always get bored eventually and give up Sad Such a pity because it works but it's a bit restrictive .. I don't cook much.

honeyandginger48 · 16/10/2017 22:33

I think you're doing really well.... 🙂

L: feta and tomato frittata with coleslaw and salad

I've been looking up low carb veggie recipes to try in half term next week, so hopefully will be expanding my limited menu soon...

Justchillaxing · 17/10/2017 22:47

Sounds nice!

Justchillaxing · 18/10/2017 00:58

honeyandginger48 · 18/10/2017 20:29

L: Cottage cheese, egg and avocado salad.

D: Tried something new for dinner tonight - low carb quesadilla made with cauliflower. Had it with ratatouille. Took ages to make and seemed to use every bowl, grater and pan in the house!!! It was OK but not sure I'd bother again....

Justchillaxing · 19/10/2017 23:30

Mmm ... chocolate ..

I know I'm like that .. if I have any carbs I just want more and end up eating chocolate. I realise now I can't have anything Sad
