Hi am starting the Harcombe diet tomorrow, anyone else had success with it or fancies joining me? 6 and a bit weeks to holidays!!

OP posts:
Justchillaxing · 07/10/2017 23:15

I've been washing all afternoon and now there's washing everywhere!

B: bacon and eggs fried
L: tuna mayo with cucumber
D: hm chilli
S: babybel, NLY, coffee with cream

Justchillaxing · 08/10/2017 19:41

Add peanut butter to yesterday's snacks! Shock

Today:

B: bacon and eggs fried
L: tuna mayo
D: 97% meat sausages with cauliflower
S: NLY with raspberries, babybel, coffee with cream

honeyandginger48 · 08/10/2017 21:23

I've had a bit of a rubbish food day today.
L: loads of hm veggie samosas
D: baked potato cottage cheese and coleslaw
Half a box of posh chocolates! It's my daughters 17th birthday today so lots of treats around. Back to normal tomorrow.

Justchillaxing · 08/10/2017 22:17

Sounds nice! I'm sat here craving all sorts of sugary things and trying hard to be sensible because I know I'll just crave more. Sad

Justchillaxing · 09/10/2017 13:39

Last night I gave into cravings and had had a Twirl bar. This morning I weighed myself and I'd put on a pound Sad So frustrating!

I'm going to do strict phase one for a few days, maybe a week, try and go without dairy and hope it helps. I'm so bored already though Sad

honeyandginger48 · 09/10/2017 18:15

It's hard to follow the rules all the time isn't it? I love eating healthily and feel so much better when I cut out the crap - but there always comes a time when I just want some chocolate/cake/pudding.....

L: baked potato, cottage cheese and salad
NLY
D: cauliflower cheese (creme fraiche and cream cheese for sauce) with ratatouille. I've stolen your idea!!

Justchillaxing · 09/10/2017 19:38

Yes very hard. I find it boring after a while too, especially without dairy.

I'm going to go to the shop for some snacks that aren't dairy but haven't got a clue what to get! Ham, cold chicken ... olives?

B: bacon and eggs fried
L: tuna mayo
D: fried chicken breast with cucumber and tomato and mayo

Justchillaxing · 09/10/2017 19:39

I kept meaning to ask, are you vegetarian? Can we have baked potato with vegetables?

I think I need to read the book again!

honeyandginger48 · 09/10/2017 20:36

Yep I'm vegetarian. Think that's why I have to bend the rules a bit and eat more carbs than I should. You can't have potatoes (or mushrooms) on Phase one unfortunately, but they're fine on Phase 2. Celeriac and butternut squash are good low carb stodge for phase one. I love celeriac chips!

Justchillaxing · 09/10/2017 21:47

Oh yes, I used to make celeriac chips ... I'll have to try and find some.

I'll read the book .. I hadn't realised how much I'd forgotten ...

Justchillaxing · 10/10/2017 14:08

I had a snack of 2 cold 97% meat sausages last night.

1/2 lb down this morning Smile

Justchillaxing · 10/10/2017 20:14

Today

B: bacon and eggs fried
L: tuna mayo
D: fried chicken breast with fried cabbage
S: cold sausage

honeyandginger48 · 10/10/2017 21:40

L: leftover cauliflower cheese and ratatouille
NLY
D: chick pea and spinach curry with quinoa and rice
Snack: beer battered tofu and courgette - had to try it!

Justchillaxing · 11/10/2017 13:07

Down 2lbs this morning - must be natural fluctuation. Confused

honeyandginger48 · 11/10/2017 16:57

Ooh well done!👏👏 That's great!

L: chick pea &spinach curry and brown rice
NLY
D: cauli cheese, tofu steaks, coleslaw and sweetcorn
(Starving when I got in from work so I've had a v. early dinner....)

Justchillaxing · 11/10/2017 17:01

B: bacon and eggs fried
L: 3 x eggs scrambled with butter
D: fried chicken breast with cabbage
S: cold sausage

Sue1111 · 12/10/2017 01:29

Hi, being thick here I know, but can you have soya milk on phase 1?

SlimDogMillionaire · 12/10/2017 02:13

Awww such a cute thread with the two of you giving each other encouragement and support Smile

But! What happened to the OP?

Justchillaxing · 12/10/2017 02:20

Sue I'm not sure, but I don't think so. I think soya milk is generally frowned on by Zoe Harcombe as being processed.

Not sure what happened to the OP. Confused

Justchillaxing · 12/10/2017 14:01

Another lb and a bit down this morning.

I had poached salmon instead of chicken yesterday and about 4 cherry tomatoes as snacks.

Justchillaxing · 12/10/2017 14:20

Feeling quite happy about the loss - that's 9 lbs since I started.

Justchillaxing · 12/10/2017 14:21

Another stone and a half to go though!

honeyandginger48 · 12/10/2017 16:58

I often think about the OP....

Wow 9lbs is brilliant! I'd be over the moon with that...

Sue I don't think you are allowed soya milk on phase one but I hate coffee without milk so I allow myself one a day as a treat on phase one..

L: pasta with tomato sauce, broccoli and olives
NLY
D: courgette 'lasagne' sheets with ricotta, spinach and tomato sauce -salad.

Justchillaxing · 12/10/2017 17:54

That sounds nice!

It seems I can lose weight if I stick strictly to phase one. I'll stay on it for a while.

Justchillaxing · 12/10/2017 20:08

Today

B: bacon and eggs fried
L: chicken breast fried with cucumber
D: tuna mayo, fried cabbage
S: 4 x cherry tomatoes
