Anyone starting today who wants to keep me company?

I'm starting LCHF today. Is there anyone else who is starting now or have recently started this diet who wants to join me so we can support each other?

I need to lose at least 12 kg but would ideally want to lose 17 kg. if possible before summer is here so I don't have to feel self conscious about wearing summery clothes.

He sounds very clever. I think you have to be, to be motivated to find a (in the end, rather simple) work around like he did. Even if it wasn't difficult, he still wanted it badly enough to figure out how.

Good afternoon everyone :)

Still not a great food day, but I bought supplies this afternoon so I'll be good for tomorrow.

B & L: 60g packet of plain almonds from the petrol station, tea and coffee
AT: Pork scratchings X 2, spoon coconut oil
D: will be sausages and roasted vegies - broc, cauli and asparagus.
D: SF jelly and double cream

Still fine for my daily calories, up around 1200. Also not feeling hungry, the almonds do a good job of keeping you feeling satisfied throughout the morning. I haven't even had my late afternoon nibble cravings like over the last couple of days.

Net carbs: 5g. I'm breaking BIWI's rules and doing it the American way.

hi,been very good last few days, weight went up 1 and 1/2 lb after my lapsing weekend, but thats fine i accept that

a few coffees with cream
2 x dairylea strip cheeses

just cooked a easy tea,courgette/mushrooms/spinach/chicken/bacon all cooked in a frying pan then ad a tbs of mayo mix then put on plate with grated cheese

quick and easy
have about 4-500 calories left

6 carbs so far am not going to go net anymore so i can see a true carb count, will be aiming for 25 or less which what i normally eat is pretty easy to not go over 20

KP86 · 26/04/2016 17:24

Mine also went up about that over the weekend. :( Not sure if the lesson has been learnt though, I could still eat half a cake if you put it in front of me.

I like the sound of your dinner. Do you have plans for the remainder of your cals?

seasidesally · 26/04/2016 17:38

ha ha yes i think i may make up some cheescake mix with an 1oz frozen berries,i blame you for that

i know what you mean about the cake,me to and also the wrapper Grin

KP86 · 26/04/2016 17:54

seasidesally · 27/04/2016 10:51

was starving so have just made meatballs in tom sauce etc for dinner

have just eaten a lidl high protein roll (half) with butter and tuna mayo was wonderful

felt so hungry last night and today

KP86 · 27/04/2016 12:14

Yes, I went out yesterday afternoon after I decided I couldn't have a third day in a row of silly breakfast.

Waiting for my proper grocery delivery to come shortly and then I'm going to have Covent Garden wild mushroom soup and salad for lunch.

KP86 · 27/04/2016 12:17

The first few days back on the wagon are tough! I keep reminding myself that it's worth it and once past the craving days then my hunger will regulate again.

I'm determined to get down, and stay below 95kg by the end of May. Preferably 93, but let's see!

seasidesally · 27/04/2016 19:20

i feel so hungry today and im meeting my fat targets, well i will be over the cals and fat amounts today

KP86 · 27/04/2016 19:42

Hmmm... Sally, I wonder what's happening for you? Maybe it's cycle related??

Today's food:
B: eggs, bacon, spinach and mushrooms
L: New Covent Garden mushroom soup and small green salad. It was really nice! I was surprised. Looking forward to trying the Thai Chicken version in a few days.
AT: Pork scratchings
D: Slim Pasta (double serve, lucky it's 9 cal/0 carbs per serve) with creamy pesto sauce, beef mince, spinach and mushrooms. Feeling very full after that, so probably won't have dessert.

I've been drinking plenty of black tea and water today, finally back into it!

Activity: walking/playing with DS for about an hour this morning

Net carbs: ZERO!! (That was unexpected, even though the slim pasta is 4 negative carbs per serve).

ihatethecold · 27/04/2016 20:24

I best not tell you what i've had today .Blush

KP86 · 27/04/2016 20:32

There's always tomorrow.

ihatethecold · 27/04/2016 20:52

Actually,I haven't eaten unhealthy food, just not strictly LC.
I feel better for it. Although i wont lose weight.
I sometimes wonder if i should just be happy at 10 stones, Ive been this weight for 12 years.
I have lost 10lbs recently.
I can wear a size 12 happily.
I do like the idea of Lc and i do believe it works but i get so bored, then i end up tired from not eating enough.
I've also noticed i haven't been looking as healthy facially.
god knows why?
Ideally i'd like to be 9st but i would really have to be strict to reach that goal, would it be sustainable?
Sorry for my ramblings.

KP86 · 28/04/2016 08:15

Middle age spread? (Sorry, not helpful)

What about increasing activity, particularly light weights to try to tone up instead of focusing on weight loss?

ihatethecold · 28/04/2016 09:36

Not middle age spread, more like 3 kids!!
I probably should do more targeted exercise.
I do lots of walking with my dogs twice a day so i'm getting enough cardio in.

KP86 · 28/04/2016 18:26

I'm bad enough after 1 DC, let alone 3! Some targeted weights, or maybe a HIIT class might work.

Well, I nearly ended up having a cheat evening with friends over for a takeaway but her DH had to get home quickly so it's back to our original plan of home made LC curry. In a way I'm more pleased I've stuck to LC as I really was tempted!

Food for today:
B: scrambled eggs and tea
L: mushroom soup and salad
AT: pork scratchings and SF ginger beer
Snack: slice mozzarella cheese
D: chicken curry with vegies
D: jelly and cream

I've been keeping up with the tea, so not as dehydrated as I've been recently. A friend and I were outside at a local attraction with the SC this afternoon and I've caught a bit of sun which was lovely! No specific activity for the day though.

Stay well, ladies. We can do it :)

seasidesally · 28/04/2016 19:26

ha ha,yes ive 3dc (all boys) also

feel much more positive today and not so hungry

i done a big shop today so there's lots of fresh food to eat,im sure that makes a differrence

double cream in my coffees X 4 so far (have been diluting cream with some water)
bag of pork scratchings
gorgeous meatballs in tomatoe sauce/garlic/herbs with cheese on top

KP86 · 28/04/2016 19:41

Having lots of good LC food in the house makes a huge difference IME.

Meal planning a few days in advance also helps me keep on top of my cravings.

seasidesally · 28/04/2016 19:59

its funny it's all in the fridge and im not hungry, now last night !!!!!!!!!!!!
