Anyone starting today who wants to keep me company?

I'm starting LCHF today. Is there anyone else who is starting now or have recently started this diet who wants to join me so we can support each other?

I need to lose at least 12 kg but would ideally want to lose 17 kg. if possible before summer is here so I don't have to feel self conscious about wearing summery clothes.

Thanks for the encouragement :)

My motto re. weight loss is quick to lose/gain and back again. So I gained 3kg in 4 days, it should have been easy to lose again. Same as losing that weight quickly makes it easy to gain, which is probably what happened in the first place.

Food for today:
B: nothing, running rather late so ran out the door with DS Blush(I consider myself chastised)
MT: Coffee with some semi-skimmed milk. I did ask for black but person must not have heard. It wasn't much milk so I didn't make a fuss
L: large plate of bacon, scrambled eggs, mushrooms and spinach
AT: pork scratchings, glass SF lemonade, tsp coconut oil
D: large serve roast chicken, cauli, broc and mushrooms. Quite tasty and I've had to stop myself from drinking the juices from the pan!

I was planning on having cheese cake for dessert but I'm not hungry and since it's already almost 8:30 I might give it a miss tonight.

Activity: brisk walk this morning going to our appointment and playing/forest walk with DC this afternoon.

Net carbs for the day around 16, since I'm not having dessert.

I've been quite physically tired today.
I have to walk my dogs 2 times a day for 50 mins.
Worked a long shift and to add to it my DH gets up at 5am everyday and always wakes me up and I can never get back to sleep.
Anyway today.
B. 2 eggs scrambled with smoked salmon
L. Chicken and chorizo salad
S. 10 almonds and a little dark choc.
D. Spaghetti pasta with meatballs.

I know it's not LC but we have no naice low carb food in the house and it was already cooked.
Ah well.

Ok. I also ate a chocolate digestive. Blush

Oh, you made me chuckle.

KP86 · 21/04/2016 21:15

Alright, I did have some cheesecake.

ihatethecold · 22/04/2016 06:39

You're supposed to tell me off to get me back on track!!! Wink

KP86 · 22/04/2016 07:31

One day here or there isn't going to kill you or the diet. There's no point making you feel bad because what's done is done!

But if you are finding your ongoing motivation waning have a good read through the LC Bootcamp recipes or do some googling so you can try new things and get the excitement back. Think about what you can pre-prepare so you have snacks ready to go if you suddenly find yourself starving. Work out what your biggest cravings are and find substitutes (eg. 80% chocolate if that's your thing, or maybe a slice of low carb bread if you are feeling desperate).

And remember, one off day just means back on the horse tomorrow. It's not over!

Thank you Kp standing ovation

I'm going to London tonight for a meal so i'm going to try order wisely.
This morning was mushrooms, eggs and bacon.
lunch will be prawn cocktail.

KP86 · 22/04/2016 12:46

Tomorrow is an off day for me, we are planning a trip into London to see SIL. I will try (haha!) to remain sensible but no stressing if it doesn't work out.

My pig to twig book arrived today, will have a proper look through when DS is in bed tonight.

seasidesally · 22/04/2016 16:13

perplexed is not the word

i have gaine 2-31b over the last coupe days

have kept to

KP86 · 22/04/2016 16:18

Oh no! That really, really sucks.

Lots of salt leading to bloat?

How do you feel? Flabby or a bit slimmer? This might be a time to rely on clothes fit rather than scales.

seasidesally · 22/04/2016 16:22

i actually feel slimmer on my stomach,a vest top i wear underneath use to ride up,the last couple of days it stays put

so blardy annoyed and just dont get it

seasidesally · 22/04/2016 16:23

i dont have alot of salt,im usually well under on MFP,infact i keep forgetting to add it if anything

seasidesally · 22/04/2016 16:39

oh yeah, huge exercise tears apart your muscles and fluids then rush to repair those tiny tears, that's why your sore, and the scale is up because you body is holding that extra fluid and inflammation as it heals. its a good thing!

this is one explanation ive been given, maybe thats it

KP86 · 22/04/2016 17:42

If you feel slimmer then I wouldn't be too concerned but it does make you feel pretty crap.

Give it a week and see.

seasidesally · 22/04/2016 18:28

thanks

KP86 · 22/04/2016 18:33

Well, my day's gone to shit. Oops.

We had bananas to be used and I started making a banana bread/cake for us to take on our picnic tomorrow and then ate some of the batter and decided I am going to have a piece fresh from the oven when it's ready.

So... in for a penny, in for a pound, I decided to^^ make our pasta tonight with real pasta rather than the fake stuff and I didn't really bother to measure the ingredients. It's not super carb loaded (besides the pasta itself) but I'm def over cal for the day.

Another not so good day tomorrow and I'll be back nice and fresh on Sunday. Hopefully not having gained like last week.

seasidesally · 22/04/2016 20:08

well enjoy your trip tonmorrow "tomorrow is another day"

BIWI · 23/04/2016 14:04

seasidesally - are you drinking plenty of water and eating lots of fat? Both of those will help you. Ignoring all mentions of cheating!
