Slimming World to Harcombe?

I've been doing SW since 29/8. Initially on EE and now mainly on red days.

However although I've lost 1lb short of 2
stone I haven't lost any weight this week and I've stuck to the plan with the exception of maybe not enough syns / HEB.

Have seen the Harcombe diet and this seems to be more like what I'm doing at the moment although I'll have to swap coffee and skimmed milk for herbal tea and stop my 10 a day satsuma habit ;)

Just wondered what people's losses had been in phase 1 switching from SW? My BMI is still in the low 30s so I've got plenty to lose!

I am recording Eurovision, my sister is coming over tomorrow with her girls and we are going to watch it then. Ds1 is at a football tournament all day, and DH is doing an 80 mile bike ride (because he is bananas).

Have had a good day, took ds2 to his swimming lesson, did the food shop in lidl, did all the ironing - ds2 had a friend to play this afternoon.

Have had pork belly for tea, am on the water and decaf coffee now.

We are watching pacific rim, on sky movies, it is shit.....

Hi Smile, just done my shopping at Aldi - had to buy lots of meat, so a bit more expensive than usual, but dh starts his new job tomorrow and he is harcombing too now, so needs chicken legs and tuna mayo to take to work too, otherwise he'll just buy crappy sandwiches!

Brunch: bacon, eggs and fried mushrooms
Dinner will be fajitas without the wraps, with salad and sour cream and a little grated cheese.
Snack of a slice of corned beef.

Hiya. Wish we had an Aldi near us.

B: 2 hard boiled eggs
L: Green salad with tuna
Pkt pork scratchings
T: 2 salmon steaks with courgettes and broccoli

Am determined to have a good week. No nuts, dairy, or booze. If I don't have a loss by Friday then I officially give up.

Are you not losing anything Dosh?

I guess it could be the booze and nuts.

Report
Doshusallie · 11/05/2014 21:05

No not losing at all...am heavier than I have been in 3 years since starting low carbing, and have drunk alcohol and eaten nuts throughout that time..

Will see if a really strict week makes a difference, otherwise I am a bit stumped tbh.

Are you drinking enough water?

I agree ditch the booze and nuts and stick to meat, veg and plenty of fat with it. Ditch the dairy for a while too.

I've found I don't lose well on phase 2, but do well on strict phase 1.Dairy stops me losing.

It's the boss Angry Luckily only today and tomorrow, then my colleague is back and I get a day off!

I have to stay on track or dh will give up too, and he has four stone to lose.

So I'll get my head round it again, go through the cravings again (sigh) and get back on track. Meanwhile I've scoffed most of a bag of chocolate peanuts Sad

Doshusallie · 13/05/2014 17:06

Whoops. Sad

B: eggs
L: leftovers - chicken thighs and veg
Pork scratchings
T: will be the cauliflower mash, with salmon and courgettes.

Am awash with water and decaf coffee.

On the harcombe forum if someone cheats they just say to think of it as a lapse into phase 3 and then just get back into phase 1. So don't worry.

Think strong Kazza! Think chocolate is just something I don't eat. I know what it tastes like, I don't need to eat it!!

Am really pleased the three pounds I lost has stayed off, thought maybe it was a blip and would be back again this morning!

Gorgeous here too today.

Thoroughly ashamed- my boss brought egg custard tarts into work, then my colleague handed round chocolates and it was downhill from there Sad

Otherwise I had omelette for breakfast, soup and salad for lunch and chilli with a little grated cheese.

I think Pmt may be the reason I lost the plot- because I started a new pill I had no idea what was going on in my cycle, but I think my period is starting.
