Slimming World to Harcombe?

I've been doing SW since 29/8. Initially on EE and now mainly on red days.

However although I've lost 1lb short of 2
stone I haven't lost any weight this week and I've stuck to the plan with the exception of maybe not enough syns / HEB.

Have seen the Harcombe diet and this seems to be more like what I'm doing at the moment although I'll have to swap coffee and skimmed milk for herbal tea and stop my 10 a day satsuma habit ;)

Just wondered what people's losses had been in phase 1 switching from SW? My BMI is still in the low 30s so I've got plenty to lose!

I had hard boiled eggs for breakfast.

A packet of peppered salmon slices and a pot of red peppers stuffed with cheese (only thing remotely edible for me in an M&S at a garage, so a slip with the cheese)
rib eye steak with salad and NLY for tea

Fizzy water and decaf coffee despite being in a pub! Halo

kazzawazzawoo · 30/04/2014 19:25

Well done for resisting the booze Smile

Today I've had

B- tomato, onion and goats cheese omelette
L- HM chicken and veg soup, salad
D- roasted belly pork swede, green beans
4 decaf coffees, 3 water with lemon

kazzawazzawoo · 30/04/2014 19:26

(Got fed up of bacon and eggs all the time for breakfast, but can't eat omelette without cheese. )

Doshusallie · 30/04/2014 20:42

Breakfast was bacon, fried eggs, mushrooms and grilled tomato (in a hotel was away with work)
Lunch was a pot of Greek yoghurt (nicked from hotel Blush), and pork scratchings in the car followed by the two chicken pieces helpfully leftover from dh's tea.
Tea was salmon fillets with buttery courgettes, asparagus and leeks. (Followed by the other nicked pot of yoghurt BlushBlush with some sunflower seeds). Ate a boiled egg while this was cooking.

2 decaf coffees, lots of water (but probably not enough).

No booze tonight either!! But out with work tomorrow night.....

Doshusallie · 02/05/2014 18:14

Hi kazza, how are you getting on?

Yesterday:

2 hard boiled eggs
Pkt hog bites and some nly
2 more hard boiled eggs
Some spare rib type things and salad (of a sharing platter in a bar)
Lots of red wine, monitors, anda. Jaeger bomb...Blush

Today:

Have felt dreadful all day with a hangover so have done nothing but eat. It has been all low carb, which considering there is a loaf of tiger bread in the kitchen is quite a feat, but lots and lots of it:

Nly
2 hard boiled eggs
Mattessons pork sausage (2/3s of one)
Big salad with mackerel
2 packets of hog bites Blush
3 handfuls of mixed nuts
1 of the boys' sausages from their tea
Haven't even eaten tea yet......

kazzawazzawoo · 02/05/2014 18:37

Hi Dosh Smile I'm fine, thanks. Hope you''re ok?

Yesterday I had tomato and goats cheese omelette for breakfast, salad with corned beef for lunch and pork shoulder steaks with swede and leeks for dinner.

Today I had omelette for breakfast, chicken and veg soup with salad for lunch and chicken curry with celeriac chips for dinner. Lots of decaf and a snack of almonds.

RosinaCopper · 03/05/2014 08:57

Hi Kazza and Dosh,

I only did yesterday as an almost Harcombe day, so no surprise that there is no change on the scales, but I still feel a bit disappointed as I was mostly good, apart from one glass of prosecco at an evening out and one half caff coffee (the rest were decaff).

I'm aiming to drink lots of water today, but I didn't get to bed till just after 1am and the first of the children woke at 5.30, so I doubt I'll get through today without caffeine!

Today I'm planning to have:

B:NLY
L: Ham salad
D: Roast parnsips, bacon and Brussels sprouts. Perhaps with extra veg in the side. I'm not bothering with the 50g of rice, to try to offset the milk I have in my coffee!

Have a good weekend

kazzawazzawoo · 03/05/2014 09:12

Rosina, sounds good, are you having enough fat? I would drink lots of water to get rid of any baddies from yesterday.

Doshusallie · 03/05/2014 09:21

Morning both.

I too am planning an angelic day after the sheer volume of food consumed yesterday and the alcohol from Thursday. I will skip this weeks weigh in as it will just piss me off, and weigh next week.

kazzawazzawoo · 03/05/2014 19:02

Another good day. I'm not weighing myself, so not sure what I'm losing, I suspect not much, I have about a stone to lose I think. Not in any hurry though, it's more about the healthy eating for me. I also suspect that the fact that I eat a lot of swede and don't drink enough water are slowing me down anyway. I'm quite limited in what veg I can eat as I sufferwith ibs and cabbage, broccoli, sprouts cause problems for me. So I struggle for veg that aren't too carby.

I'm really pleased that I haven't had chocolate for nearly two weeks though

Today I had omelette for breakfast, bacon and eggs for lunch, a snack of pork scratchings and liver and swede for dinner. 4 mugs of decaf so far and one water, I'll try to drink lots tonight

Doshusallie · 03/05/2014 19:13

Well done kazza. No chocolate is fabulous.

I have had 2 hard boiled eggs for breakfast.
Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon for lunch (harcombe says no smoked foods but how bad can it be?)
Snack of hog bites and another egg
Not had tea yet but think it will be lamb chops with veg.

Have had loads of water and decaf coffee.

kazzawazzawoo · 03/05/2014 20:06

Today I am really craving something sweet Sad

kazzawazzawoo · 04/05/2014 11:30

I managed another 2 glasses of water last night, didn't give in to the chocolate cravings, but did have a handful of almonds instead.

Doshusallie · 04/05/2014 16:07

Well done you kazza.

Today I have had 2 hard boiled eggs for breakfast
Mackerel and egg salad for lunch followed by nly with sunflower seeds
Tea will be roast chicken and veg. Have made an apple crumble for the others, will have a couple of glasses of red wine.

kazzawazzawoo · 04/05/2014 16:57

You too Dosh Smile

I had bacon and eggs and fried left over swede for breakfast, tuna mayo with cucumber and hard boiled egg for lunch and we're having spicy chicken in egg wraps with salad for dinner.

kazzawazzawoo · 05/05/2014 10:57

Awfully Posh pork scratchings are £7.68 for a box of 12 on Amazon, very good price for great pork scratchings! I've just ordered 2 boxes.

kazzawazzawoo · 05/05/2014 11:28

I think they are the only pork scratchings that don't have added nasties, they're just pork and salt. Yum.

kazzawazzawoo · 05/05/2014 11:31

I struggled last night again, in the end I had some NLY with defrosted frozen raspberries and a small glass of cloudy lemonade and some almonds and a square of dark chocolate Sad

Doshusallie · 05/05/2014 17:46

Ooops thanks so much re pork scratchings tip, will order some straight away!

Today:

Hard boiled eggs
Big bowl of green veg (leftover from the weekend) with butter - nly with seeds and a dollop of double cream
Pkt pork scratchings
Wasn't going to drink tonight but there is wine that needs finishing and I am weak.
Tea will be left over chicken and veg.

Maybe have a coffee with cream in the evening to curb the sweet cravings?

Doshusallie · 05/05/2014 17:48

How do you order the pork scratchings if they are just an add on purchase? Did you have to buy something else?

Doshusallie · 05/05/2014 17:49

Ah I see...ordered two boxes so it qualifies...

kazzawazzawoo · 05/05/2014 18:45

Sorry, I should have said, I ordered 2 boxes too.

I don't have any cream in Sad I will try with NLY and raspberries again.

I've had bacon eggs and fried mushrooms for breakfast (late) and chilli with mashed swede for dinner.

kazzawazzawoo · 05/05/2014 22:30

Also had a bowl of NLY with raspberries.

kazzawazzawoo · 06/05/2014 19:50

I need to write today off and get back on track.

Today I had bacon eggs and fried mashed swede for breakfast, for lunch a pear tart as we were out and I had a voucher for free coffee and cake. For dinner roast pork with leeks and green beans.

I weighed myself this morning for the first time in months. I still have 12 lbs to lose, so need to knuckle down again.

I keep losing the plot., but one piece of chocolate isn't enough, I could just go on and on eating it.

Doshusallie · 06/05/2014 20:09

Sounds like the pear tart was the only cheat though kazza???

2 hard boiled eggs for brekkie
Leftover roast chicken eaten cold for lunch, with nly with seeds for pudding
2 pork chops with steamed broccoli, mushrooms and sprouts, eaten with broccoli fried in oil, chilli flakes and garlic.

Pkt hog bites and a boiled egg for snack.

About 2 litres of water and about 3 decaf coffees and 2 decaf teas with splash of milk.

I poured half a bottle of wine away as I am with wine as you are with chocolate, and cannot have one glass. Only answer for me is to not have it in the house.
