Well done everyone who completed the Summer Bootcamp!

here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness if you want to continue adding to it

Obviously there are many of us who want to continue, either to lose more weight or just for general support to help with this WOE, so here is a brand new, shiny chat thread.

As for me, having slipped a lot a little when I was away, I'm firmly back on the wagon today.

And can I remind you, that if you haven't completed the survey we would be very grateful for your views/thoughts on how we can improve Bootcamp.

Morning all. Still no weightloss here. Am I ever going to lose any weight?
Tempted to give it up and go back to calorie counting.
Re exercise, I ran last night and usually (on a good run) average about 6mins 20 sec per km, last night I was 7 mins 15 secs. Very very slow. Probably in part to the hot weather but I'm sure theblack of carbs contributed. Again, I wouldn't mind if I was actually losing weight!
On the tummy tuck side of things I've made an app with my GP to discuss.

bulletwithbutterflywings · 23/07/2013 10:04

Hi, just popping back to say I am going to try something different for a while. I haven't lost anywhere near enough weight so I am going to follow my PTs advice and do a body builder style diet for a few weeks. I will be returning to LCHF for maintenance though - I'm convinced its a healthy way of life but I need to ditch this stone!
Hope you are all still losing / maintaining as you want to be :)

bulletwithbutterflywings · 23/07/2013 10:05

Also I need to get off MN for a bit - DP and I have agreed to get off our respective screens and spend more time together Blush modern life eh?

StuntNun · 23/07/2013 10:39

What's the bodybuilder diet Bullet? Can you link to a website? My DH would be interested as he's hoping to start weight training again soon.

Eglute · 23/07/2013 11:23

Bullet did you lose any weight with Low-carb WOE?

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 23/07/2013 13:07

BIWI, in Ubercamp, can I eat the home-made coleslaw twice in one day? Swapped the meals around a bit and have just had chicken thighs with coleslaw for lunch, and dinner was to be burger, celeriac chips and the rest of the coleslaw. I adore this coleslaw, btw! Best thing ever. Would it be too carby to eat twice, though?

NewStartNewStory · 23/07/2013 13:28

Have been grateful for the encouragement to keep on track. It has helped stop the fuck it attitude creeping back. Back on track today. Not standing on the scales til tomo though! Will keep drinking the water have not been grate on that the last few days Blush

BeenieBaby · 23/07/2013 13:39

My kids are driving me nuts! And I've a earache from lack of sleep and this bloody humidity. Keep dreamibg of some lovely biscotti.........

BeenieBaby · 23/07/2013 13:40

Headache rather!

Negroni · 23/07/2013 13:40

New - hope things get better for you. Sending good vibes to help you continue keep on track!

Crabby - loving your blog photos. I saw that first class curry being made on the Rick Stein prog and yours looks just as good as the jolly chef man's did! I can't believe you have the patience to do all that, photograph it, upload it and look after your DD.

An ok day for me. Trying to drink lots but being drawn to borderline foods such as nuts, strawbs, square of dark chocolate. Time to make scramble some eggs for lunch to stop this nibbling.

bulletwithbutterflywings · 23/07/2013 14:08

Eglute I lost about 4lb over boot camp.
stuntnun this is the program I am going to follow. I am bodybuilding so its relevant to my needs. I think for a man (assuming he is larger than me) the quantities would need to increase, I'm sure if you had a look around the site you would find a suitable diet for him.

daisychicken · 23/07/2013 14:18

Just popping in to say "I'm still here!" Am just plodding away so not much to say.. had a small blip yesterday - buffet lunch & no lowcarb choices so had a tiny quiche (think tiny party size) & a tiny roll thing to tide me over till I got home - back to the usual now though.

BIWI · 23/07/2013 14:37

MustTidyUp - you are in week 3, aren't you? As others have already said at this stage in switching to low carbing it is very, very common for weight loss to slow/stop. This can happen in weeks 3 and 4, and sometimes 5.

Don't panic! Don't do anything different. Your body is switching from being a carb-burning machine to being a fat-burning machine.

And I think I'm right in saying that you don't have much to lose, so your weight loss will be slow.

Relax. It will happen for you if you are following the rules!!!

OP posts:
BIWI · 23/07/2013 14:42

And whilst your body is in the process of switching, you will find exercise harder. But once you are ketogenically adapted, you will be fine.

I do all my running/gym in a fasted state, and it's never been a problem.

OP posts:
BIWI · 23/07/2013 14:43

TooExtra - no, don't have coleslaw twice in one day. It is too carby.

Hi everyone - sorry I've not been back at all! Busy with Nemo leaving preschool and sorting DH's birthday, plus it's our WA next Monday so my mind is boggling - also I have one friend waiting for her baby and one who's just had a boy so organising gifts etc...... :)

So far, so good. My friend came round this morning and said I looked really 'skinny' Hmm I doubt that but I have lost some weight,

I started at 10st 6lb last week which is half a stone more than I wanted to be and I'm now 10st 4lbs. I'm not sure how often we weigh in or how to add it into the chart but my appetite has fallen off the face of the earth.

B - Total Yog (Full Fat) 60g with 2 drops of vanilla essence

L - omelette with 3 medium shrooms cooked with butter, 1 samll rasher of bacon and a touch of black pepper.

D - chicken thigh with skin on, roasted, with some more fried in butter shrooms, 2 med size.

3 pints of water so far. I've ogt zero appetite so I'm struggling to eat even half of what I'm making but today has been better so I've listed my foods.

DH makes burgers from scratch with mince and onions, so I was going to have that for dinner tomorrow and have bit of cheese grated on the top, B & L will prob be the same as today, but maybe the other way around... we'll see.

The heat doesn't help nor my new meds, they make me feel pukey too. And sleepy. However Nemo is awake most nights so my sleep is topsy turvy as per!

Right, I'm shutting up now. I hope I'm doing okay, any pointers would be great and Ruprekt - thanks for being my buddy :) xxx

BIWI · 23/07/2013 15:03

Mouseface - not much veg going on in those meals! You need to add in some salad (with a dressing) and some green veg (with butter melted on them)

OhCobblers · 23/07/2013 16:46

Hello!
Was quite impressed with myself yesterday!
B white yoghurt
L tuna mayo with lettuce, cucumber and a little spring onion
D pork medallions cooked in butter with a little onion, kale, mushrooms and courgette ribbons, dollop creme fraiche. Followed by a little more white yoghurt with a few frozen raspberries.

Today so far.
B same as above with a few frozen berries.
L mushrooms cooked in butter with 2 fried eggs on top.
D will be roasted chicken with green salad inc avocado and a green veg.

Snacks are generally a babel and/or nice ham!

Have my period so don't want to weight myself as i usually retain so much water a this time, but does the above sound like I'm on track? Have cut back on coffee to only 2 cups a day which in itself is a minor miracle!!!

BIWI · 23/07/2013 17:00

Are you Bootcamping or doing Bootcamp Light? If the former, then ditch the berries! Otherwise, looks fine. I hope that your yoghurt and creme fraiche are full fat?

loopyloou · 23/07/2013 17:07

Just popped on to post my food diary.

Today I had bacon and egg with HM mayo and 2 fried mushrooms for breakfast, egg mayo and 3 chipolata sausages, low carb, with salad for lunch and we're having HM burgers with some veg for dinner. I've had 1.5 litres of water so far and 2 coffees, should manage at least another litre tonight.

OhCobblers · 23/07/2013 17:15

They are BIWI. And as I've had a couple of booze filled evenings in the last 2 weeks I guess I'm doing bootcamp light!

CrabbyBigBottom · 23/07/2013 17:21

Willie Grin @ 'yes but not today'! Grin

There's nothing that this lad could have done to avoid the accident, but I am a bit Hmm at some motorcyclists who hurtle up behind and overtake without a pause; I don't mind personally because they don't get in my way, but they appear so fast (and I don't hang around when I'm driving either!) that you've barely time to register them. Also the ones who weave through lanes of traffic at speed, over and undertaking. It only takes one car to not check their mirror properly and both sides before changing lanes, and the bike rider is toast. I always look over my shoulder when changing lanes on a motorway to ensure there's nothing in my blindspot too. A lot of people don't seem to though - like the elderly lady who pulled straight across my left wing on the A3 one day, didn't hear my horn, and who I missed by inches. She was totally unaware of what she'd done, too. Angry Bikes are so vulnerable yet a lot of riders seem so reckless. So do many car drivers, but at least they have some protection around them. Sad

2lbs off this morning, whoop whoop! I don't deserve it, considering the ice-cream, excess wine and peshwari naan I had the other third of it as a late lunch stuffed with leftover curry, but I think it's probably because I've had no appetite so haven't been eating much food. Still, I was expecting to STS at best this week, so I'm very happy with that.

Mouseface · 23/07/2013 18:18

Sorry Miss - Wink I've been waiting for the shopping to arrive so had to ad lib rather a lot today, better planned for tomorrow now that I have greens and salad in :)

Mouseface · 23/07/2013 18:21

Crabby - I lost my uncle (21) and my sister lost her DP (22 with 3 small children) due to motorbike accidents, in both cases the cars pulled out from a junction and hit the bikes Sad

My friends' DH is just about to start his full motorbike training. He has a trail bike now and has decided to go full on and get a motorbike licence.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 23/07/2013 18:29

Sadface re no more coleslaw. An having salad instead.
