Morning campers.

Come and confess all on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

So only three weeks left. I know that things have been moving quite satisfactorily for some of you, so hopefully these last three weeks can see a few more of those pesky pounds disappear.

I had a bit of an altercation with some sticky toffee pudding this weekend (at the PILs) so I've got my work cut out over the next few days to undo the damage!

Off for a run shortly ...

Oh DS3 is allergic and if I eat eggs he gets eczema. I only had one though, I used to eat them daily so hopefully one won't affect him.

decaffwithcream · 20/06/2013 20:46

I am Grin at the thought of being a "desirable" BMI. I would've thought I had a long way to go to healthy range.

TooMuch yesterday I would've thought you were taller than me if you posted your height as I thought I was around 5'4 or 5'5.

Never mind the scalesI now feel taller and slimmer than I felt when I woke up this morning!

BIWI · 20/06/2013 21:37
Grin

You will soon be desirable!

Thanks maid and sorry to hear you've had a little slip. We're all here to yank you back on! Hope today went better.

Lily and Toomuch Grin Grin at CrabbySmallKylieBottom! I wish! Sadly, my bum is the only bit of me that hasn't been shrinking much. Also, I bet I couldn't do those trousers up today - my tummy feels quite bloated for some reason. Confused

I succumbed to yoghurt 'ice-cream' again today, despite my annoyance at not having lost anything this week. And then to add insult to injury, this evening I had some raspberries and clotted cream. Hmm My portions of all my meals were small, for various reasons, and I think that left me hungry.

B - mozzarella, 4 little toms, pesto, half slice parma ham
L - leftover stirfry, mainly beansprouts
Straight afterwards had yoghurt
D - 3 chipolata sausages (black farmer), few tomatoes, bit of broccoli, mushroom and celeriac. Not enough.
P - later in evening was hungry so had raspberries and clotted cream. Blush
Been really thirsty today and drinking loads.

LilyAmaryllis · 21/06/2013 00:07

Ruprekt how did you increase the fat you were eating? (dairy ways or non-dairy ways?)

I've just been to the pub. And realised there is nothing you can drink at the pub on this WOE is there? (unfortunately at the moment I'm not allowed alcohol, would clash with medication.) I'm assuming ginger beer is too carby. I had soda water and the bar staff wouldn't even charge me!

Ruprekt · 21/06/2013 00:22

Lily, I cook the veg in butter and then add more butter when I serve it. Butter is the best way as it does not seem to stall weightloss unlike milk, cream and yoghurt.

LilyAmaryllis · 21/06/2013 00:27

Thanks, I will try more butter. (and water) (as 3lbs off in a few days is impressive!)

Urgh night out with people. the food soft ice cream and toppings did not agree with me :( Looking forward to veg and proper food ie low carb tomo. Tonight did show one thing. Need to try to cut down the dairy level again. Which is a pita as i really am rather fond of cheese. But really stomach cramps and feeling this yucky is NOT worth the effort. Got a study day planned tomo. I suspect it will do me the world of good.

StuntNun · 21/06/2013 08:04

Urgh I felt really awful again this morning - so weak I could barely get upstairs. I think I might have to leave something on my bedside table to eat before I get up in the morning. I suppose I had my dinner then breastfed DS3 four times before morning so no wonder I'm running on empty.

MrsHerculePoirot · 21/06/2013 08:23

Welcome kotinka if you click on the link to the spreadsheet in the OP you'll find lots of info and links if you need them.

stuntnun you might be coming down with something or perhaps you need to up your salt/electrolytes/potassium - In this weather especially as we perhaps drink more water flushing out things a bit more?

MrsHerculePoirot · 21/06/2013 08:26

Sorry just seen the bf post - good idea about having something ready to eat. Perhaps up the fat/portions too
In general to help? Hope you feel better soon.

CRABBYBIGBOTTOM

takes top prize this week, as the biggest loser this week, biggest loser so far AND biggest %age loser so far!

captainmummy · 21/06/2013 08:38

3 for 3 Crabby! Well done!

maidofmuss · 21/06/2013 08:40

Wow Crabby ? well done you! Flowers That's brilliant!

CiderwithBuda · 21/06/2013 08:49

Yay Crabbysmallerbottom! You are doing well!

I was hungry a lot yesterday. Stuck to good stuff but ate more than I should. Avoided dairy though other than my milk in my tea. Feeling bloated today. Didn't manage my ten glasses of water yesterday which may explain it.

Hoping not to be as hungry today as def snacked too much yesterday. I also think I was missing the 'mouthfeel' of dairy. I find a few spoonfuls of yoghurt or cream quite satisfying. Nothing was giving me that feel yesterday. Will stick to no dairy though.

Just had egg mayo and ham for breakfast.

Lunch will be smoked mackerel and salad again.

Dinner. No idea yet!

bulletwithbutterflywings · 21/06/2013 09:12

Ugh. We have run out of low carb food except for cheese. :( Having a Bulletproof coffee with more butter and coconut oil than usual for brekkie - hope it fills me up until I can get food at lunch time. t.o.m is making it more difficult because I feel really sick at the thought of buttery eggs or anything like that and I just want a Danish for breakfast I really crave sweet thing when I'm on.
Thinking about it we have run out of ALL food except weetabix porridge and cheese. Yum.

CrabbyBigBottom · 21/06/2013 09:12

Shock Shock Shock

Wow! Thank you! I need to revive that tearful award acceptance speech from a few days ago where I thank everyone and then run off the stage sobbing uncontrollably. Grin

Well that's great, and a real boost on a week where I've been mainly feeling fat, bloated and incredibly grumpy! I can't blame my hormones either - I'm in the first bit of my cycle and should be feeling svelte and positive. I haven't lost anything this week, in fact the wii keeps telling me I've gained half a pound; yesterday I gave it a stern talking to, changed its batteries and reweighed myself - it then revised its opinion and told me I'd stayed the same. This morning it told me half a pound on again; I swore roundly at it and turned it off before it could save its data. Hmm

I feel really puffy, which is presumably water retention. Maybe what Willie was saying re humidity is the case for me too. I've been drinking masses of water though. I might try taking some diuretic herbs too.

Tonight's meal is going to be slow cooked kashmiri butter chicken. Normally we get some sides and naans from the local Indian takeaway to go with it (delicious peshwari naan, where you take a very carby bread and then stuff it with even more carbs!) but obviously that won't be happening. DP is out tonight so I'll eat early and won't drink this evening. Tomorrow night (always make enough for two nights) I've told him that he can have basmati rice with it but if he gets anything from the takeaway, I may have to kill him. Grin DP has been eating my low carb dinners most evenings, but still eating carbs the rest of the time; sandwiches for lunch at work, toast on a Saturday morning (the smell of which drifts upstairs to me Angry). This should be a recipe for disaster, but the jammy fucker has lost about half a stone and looks noticeably slimmer! Shock Mind you he does go to the gym three times a week.

Anyhowdyhoo, hope you all have a good day and that the fat just melts away in the heat for us all!

bulletwithbutterflywings · 21/06/2013 09:14

Cider Do you drink bulletproof coffee? Because it definitely has that 'mouthfeel' you are talking about. You do need to use some kind of electric whisk to emulsify the oil - I use a stick blender.

BIWI · 21/06/2013 09:26

Buda:

Stuck to good stuff but ate more than I should

If you're making low carb choices, then at this stage you really don't have to worry about restricting the amount you're eating. Honestly - if you're hungry, then please eat something. If you leave yourself hungry all that will happen is that you're tempted to eat something that you shouldn't.

Why not add some extra veg to your lunch - some broccoli or leeks, with butter on them, for example?

Negroni · 21/06/2013 09:36

Crabby - well done on winning the triple! Who cares what the temperamental Wii says - we can all sing victory music to you.

So one day back on proper camp - ie no excess of double cream, peanut butter or berries and forcing self to drink water (am very bad at this) and I have dropped pound and half and back to last Friday's weight. So i just have to keep this up to minimise effects of cheating at big do tomorrow. This is clearly how I have to eat to get the losses!

Please can someone just run through how to make a bulletproof coffee again - know it was earlier on thread but cannot fine it!

Personally I do not find small amount of alcohol stalls me so could have small red wine or small whisky at pub. I do have the odd whisky at home in the evening but it is tiny, about 3ml of liquid. But as it is strong I actually feel like I am having a drink.
