Right chaps, while BIWI is drinking prosecco in sunny Italy away being busy and important, I'm your supply teacher for the next couple of days. BIWI has given me temporary responsibility for the Big Stick, so no messing about at the back there!

Well done on getting to week five, it's not easy and despite the fab support on here you've done this yourself, so remember how far you've come.

Please record your weight on the spreadsheet and marvel at your progress!

Temptations will come along, especially over bank holidays and half term treats, but remember that you're doing this for yourself, so be kind to yourself by not giving in to the temptation from things that do you harm and risk derailing you, as every time you look after yourself in this way it get easier. If you have a wobble, post on here - we'll remind you of all the tasty things you can have instead and why.

Have a lovely week!

What's an egg in a cloud?! Sounds very romantic!

nappyaddict · 29/05/2013 11:58

decaffwithcream What are these lidl yoghurt and lidl low carb sausages you speak of?

iheartshoes What is your height? I am the same weight as you :)

QueenofDreams · 29/05/2013 12:10

biwi egg in a cloud - separate the egg, beat the white till stiff, mix in a little chopped spring onion and chopped fried chorizo. Pop the egg white mixture on a baking sheet, make a well in it and put the yolk in. Bung in the oven for 6-7 minutes. It's lovely! I can't claim credit for this, I got it off a blog.

BigStickBIWI · 29/05/2013 12:16

Sound lovely!

NewStartNewStory · 29/05/2013 12:22

That eggs is clouds really does sound lovely Queen.

Slowly getting back on track. variety not there yet. But three meals are and i know that i am being a snob about veg so will be tackling that thanks to a good friend who recommended a brilliant little farm shop which sell vegetables that taste like vegetables and not the high yield no taste nonsense that is commercially viable for the supermarkets.

Managed all my water yesterday, but going to struggle today as have only just woken up. Took a day off to deal with some of the sleep deprivation.

Lessons learnt the hard way on this woe:
Water - don't drink it don't lose weight
3 meals - you really can't skip meals, have to eat something
tiredness - will make the cravings worse and lower your resolve
stress - if you try to stick to the woe and not deal with the cause the cravings will increase.
Other people are just sugary twats sometimes
One day does not a end to the woe make but you will have to tame your inner gobbler to stick to it again
And the last lesson: I still hate clothes shopping

Right off to grab some lunch before I catch up with myself and figure out what needs to be done. Feeling slightly disorientated for having slept properly for a change.

BigStickBIWI · 29/05/2013 12:35

Ah yes. Even though I routinely fit into size 10 clothes these days (sometimes an 8) I still hate clothes shopping! I think they put those fairground mirrors into changing rooms.

BigStickBIWI · 29/05/2013 12:37

Food choices for me have been pretty good so far. I have done intermittent fasting today and yesterday.

Yesterday's dinner was roast belly pork, leeks fried in butter and red cabbage braised with onion and raspberry vinegar.

Today - have had two boiled eggs, mashed with mayo for lunch. Tonight will be marinated salmon with stir-fried asparagus, baby sweetcorn and broccoli.

bulletwithbutterflywings · 29/05/2013 12:43

Finally managed to weigh myself, I'm half a pound down. This is going soooo sloooowly! I could really do with a whoosh to give me a boost.
I'm having my body fat, muscle mass and waist to hip ratio measured again next week so I'll hopefully see a big difference in some of those stats - I last did it on 10th April.

bulletwithbutterflywings · 29/05/2013 12:49

Today I have had - Bulletproof coffee and a dairylea strip cheese for breakfast. Huge herb salad with 4 baby plum tomatoes, 2 spring onions, smoked mackerel and a vinagarette made of EVOO, red wine vinegar and a splodge of mayo.
Dinner will be roast chicken thighs, samphire and buttery swede mash.

NewStartNewStory · 29/05/2013 13:11

"I think they put those fairground mirrors into changing rooms." And what is the lighting they put in? Interrogation grade? Not to mention not to be allowed to be skinny and have norks. etc etc.

NewStartNewStory · 29/05/2013 13:12

Blush that came out a bit more grumpy then i intended Blush

iheartshoes · 29/05/2013 13:52

nappyaddict I'm 5'1", so anything over 9 stone and I look on the porky side . Put on 2.5 stone during pregnancy and DD was a teeny 6lb2oz Blush

Ruprekt · 29/05/2013 14:20

Eeeeeeeeeeek!!! I have been a bit silly but not gained weight IYSWIM!

Just testing the carb situation as DH manages to eat carbs and not gain weight but I am not there yet!

Been baking for children and snaffled a few cakes. Sad and the new Marvellous Creations Cadbury bar is very moreish.

'My name is Ruprekt and I can be addicted to sugar if I do not avoid it completely.'

Interestingly though, all my meals have been low carb even though I have not been strictly on the low carb wagon and I have still not drunk alcohol. DespitePeopleTryingToMakeMe.....WhydoPeopleDoThat?

Doshusallie · 29/05/2013 14:21

2 hb eggs for brekkie
delish salad of mushrooms, celery, letttuce, smoked sausage and ham, mayo, cucumber and olives for lunch

QueenofDreams · 29/05/2013 14:21

Feeling so crap. Can't be bothered to eat. Just want to sleeeeep. bleurgh.

BerylStreep · 29/05/2013 16:53

We have a lovely canteen in work. I had a take out salad box for lunch today with chicken in a hot mexican rub with a mixed salad and mayo on the side.

The staff there are getting used to me - recently I have been having bacon with melted brie and mixed salad, with the obligatory extra mayo.

rubybricks · 29/05/2013 16:56

hope you feel better soon queen
again, not entirely caught up with thread but just filled in diary to week 10 of bootcamp and realised that week 11 is bikinigate for me so am back on the wagon with even more of a vengeance!

went for a quick run last night and felt fluey afterwards, but think it's just that stage again - my own fault for being back to square one.

really going to try to stick with this, it's too easy to have a glass or three of wine and just think a couple of pringles to go with wont matter...

B: double fried egg and crumbled feta, chives
L: chicken salad with mayo
D: lamb chops with tba, maybe roasted broccoli
S:2 x coffee with cream & coconut oil

thanks everyone for posting and sharing - off to drink some more water!

couch25cakes · 29/05/2013 17:23

Thanks crabby, and thanks Mrs HP, oops.

Feel much better today but did have a few cravings, which I resisted. So far today I've had a slice of gammon and fried egg for breakfast, and little gem leaves with beetroot, avocado and a little crumbled feta for lunch. Dinner will be gammon with the celeriac dauphinoise ( thanks all for your recommendations!) which is in the oven, with some broccoli.

I can't believe that in ten days I've had nothing sweet!

MrsHerculePoirot · 29/05/2013 17:23

B - bacon, eggs and mushroom (as requested by dd too!)
L - lettuce, goats cheese, fried tomatoes
D - broccoli, green beans, lamb

timidviper · 29/05/2013 17:25

I was very adventurous and bought a whole tilapia for tea yesterday which was reduced to £2.80 in Morrisons, sounded like a bargain till I cooked it and realised that the bugger was all scales and bones so, although it looked big, it only made one small portion. Consequently I had to dig some steak out for tea last night and I had the fish with salad for lunch.

I bought a thingy from Morrisons fish counter which is a piece of salmon wrapped around a cod tail and a piece of smoked fish, Hopefully that will feed the two of us tonight with celeriac mash and broccoli.

I am trying to be strong this week to remedy the damage inflicted by my holiday last week

MrsHerculePoirot · 29/05/2013 17:25

couch nothing sweet for 10 days is great - only four more to two whole weeks! Glad you are feeling better...

CrabbyBigBottom · 29/05/2013 17:33

Still feeling pretty bleugh but better than yesterday. Carbs and wine are evil! If only they didn't taste so good. Sad

B/L - 2 egg omelette with cheddar, pesto and ham
2 teas, 1 damiana tea, 2L water
D - will be cauliflower cheese, I think, with mushrooms, bacon, cream and maybe some nuts on top. to replace the breadcrumbs I'd usually put on

BigStickBIWI · 29/05/2013 18:16

couch - just watch out with that beetroot - it's very carby!

BlackAffronted · 29/05/2013 18:18

Right, I am back in the swing of things. I know Im heading into ketosis again, as I get blurred vision for a day or two (never get carb flu luckily!).

Yesterday -
B - Eggs
L - Cheesy hotdogs wrapped in bacon - awesome though I know its a bit procsessed :( & lots of salad
D - Slow roasted beef brisket, mashed swede & vichy carrots

Today -

B - leftover beef & swede mash
L - Mushroom pizzas
D - Thai green chicken curry & veg

Think I am going to try eggs in clouds tomorrow :)

Have been reading online aboutthe 7 minute workout that is supposed to be as good for you as a couple of hours running/gym. I downloaded a free app and did my 1st one last night. Im going to do it 3 times a week. It was tough, but its over so quickly that you can cope very easily with it. It was designed by scientists as the ultimate workout, so hope I see some rewards. Will link to it if any9one is interested.
