Right chaps, while BIWI is drinking prosecco in sunny Italy away being busy and important, I'm your supply teacher for the next couple of days. BIWI has given me temporary responsibility for the Big Stick, so no messing about at the back there!

Well done on getting to week five, it's not easy and despite the fab support on here you've done this yourself, so remember how far you've come.

Please record your weight on the spreadsheet and marvel at your progress!

Temptations will come along, especially over bank holidays and half term treats, but remember that you're doing this for yourself, so be kind to yourself by not giving in to the temptation from things that do you harm and risk derailing you, as every time you look after yourself in this way it get easier. If you have a wobble, post on here - we'll remind you of all the tasty things you can have instead and why.

Have a lovely week!

I am going to weigh tomorrow because I have spent the last fortnight eating carbs and drinking wine and have put on 4 lbs Blush. I am hoping that a day of being good might at least get rid of one of the pounds... I am so lame...

Not feeling so bad that I ate some rhubarb crumble now, I did drown it in clotted cream though.

I am sort of sts but did loose 10lbs in the first 2 weeks so reckon my body is just getting over the shock and having a little think about life the universe and everything.

could you add me back onto the spreadsheet please? After my confession on last week's thread, I'm back, and focused (albeit 7 pounds up Sad). But a lot of that should go this week as my water intake is now acceptable rather than minimal, plus I'm adding in 30 minutes brisk walking a day.
B: BAB
L: not sure yet
D: morroccan chicken and roasted veg (+ couscous for the rest of the family)
S: babybel
water: lots

I am up 2lbs this week (-7 overall) but have had a couple of moderately carby meals out at events where there was no choice - back on straight and narrow this week :)

I think I've reinstated everyone who needs to be. Sorry for radio silence - I'm having a day out in London!

Well a long weekend away turned into a week long holiday with too much carbs and wine. Haven't weighed but suspect I'm up so will record weight as same and get uber-camping.

For those of you who have reached target and are maintaining....talk to us about how good you feel and how you find maintenance....seeking some motivational stories as after a holiday is when I'm at weakest up with 'whats the point' type feelings and I end up giving up Sad

Does anyone know if Asda still sell their Extra Special 97% Gluten Free Sausages? I have looked in 3 stores now and can't find them but apparently they only have trace carbs.

lapetitedame I've been LCIng since August and this WOE has been a revelation for me! I'm short and small boned so my maintenance calories were miserably low, getting/ staying slim was a constant battle. Holidays were depressing cos I always gained loads of weight and bulged out of my clothes in the second week.
After a period of bootcamp ( probably several weeks tbh ) I stopped even missing bread/ cake/ pasta and it was ALL I ate before, I eat so much. More veg and salad and have proper meals instead of toast, scone, crisps.
Now I'm maintaining I generally stick to low carb but I have wine, dark chocolate and nuts and milky coffee... on my last holiday I had many sugar free mojitos. I'll plan and enjoy a carby cheat for fab meals out but I'm definitely not bingey like I used to be.
Keep at it , I am a definite BIWi disciple!!!!!

Water makes a huge difference for me Leverette. Never lose when not drinking enough.

I am tinkering away in the back ground trying to reduce influencing factors. I am eating again and slowly trying to get fully back on track. Veg is my focus this week. Been really bad so need to increase the amount i eat of them again.

Down just over a lb this week, which isn't fab but I've had my period and not STS so I'm happy enough with that.

Down 32lb (14.5kg) since the end of Jan. Still loads to go.

Leverette I am sure you aren't cheating :) However, maybe there are some small things that are derailing you that you don't realise aren't great?? (A lot of people can't eat tomatoes for example, any dairy stops some people losing ...things like that).

I seem to lose more when I'm getting enough protein (a bit of a battle as a non egg eating vegetarian low carbing - sigh) and enough oil (rather than other fat). So I try to remember to put olive oil on my salad (even though I'd rather not) and really ramp up the protein.

I don't know how much difference water makes for me, but I try to get 2l down every day, though I don't always do so well... probably my major downfall.

Well after posting last wek that I was having a rubbish week, I reined in some of the excesses and have lost a little - its only .75lb but better than last weeks STS.
I have just been shopping for low carb stuff today and now have swede again as a potato subsitute so that should help too.
Note to self. Must drink more - and goes off to get a glass of water.
I am really thirsty as have been gardening in the sun and its very windy out there - more dehydrating than you think as it doesn't feel that warm.

leverette water makes a massive difference to me too.

List everything that passed your lips for the last three days and see if we can help...

Ok breakfast was bacon, scrambled eggs and fried mushrooms

Just ate half an avocado with a squeeze of lemon juice.

Also had one throat sweet today, trying to avoid having any more.

Blush I fell off the wagon last night. it started with Rose & ended with Thorntons choc. I'll spare you the in-between, surface to say I'm back on today.

Leverette the chocolate tasted wonderful but it wasn't worth it for the guilty feelings afterwards. I wish I hadn't Wink

Leverette - good move to give the cheese a miss and see how you go. I don't know how much it affects me, all I know is that I'm still losing and I can't eat low carb without cheese (vegetarian, no eggs - it's hard enough with cheese!) but if I ate meat I'd stop the dairy for a bit to see.

Thorntons chocolates are horrible anyway Grin

I made the mistake of reading the ingrediants once. Was horrified. Mind you i do generally find the ingrediants list of anything pre-made is pretty horrifying.

I have made a potatoe thing for the carb eaters. I don't actually want it. It used to be one of my favourites. Not been brave enough to stand on the scales. Don't expect to see a loss this week but clothes are starting to get a tiny bit loser again. Which is either a good or a bad thing depending on how you view clothes shopping. Need something for a wedding in a few weeks but don't want or have the budget to spend a lot, especially on something I intend to shrink out of before september.

I didn't weigh myself this morning, but will do tomorrow. I suspect I may be the same as last week. Have had non-stop parties this month (5 birthdays, 1 anniversary, 1 fashion show, 1 meal out with friends) and I am pretty pleased that I have managed to stick to the lc, although a fair amount of drink has been consumed.

well done all those who have lost weight. Will weigh myself tomorrow morning. Have eaten a lot yesterday and today - balances out my 2 days of not eating very much during the week!

Have had a couple of lovely rump steaks this week. What is your favorite steak cut (and don't say fillet, it ain't happening)?
