Right chaps, while BIWI is drinking prosecco in sunny Italy away being busy and important, I'm your supply teacher for the next couple of days. BIWI has given me temporary responsibility for the Big Stick, so no messing about at the back there!

Well done on getting to week five, it's not easy and despite the fab support on here you've done this yourself, so remember how far you've come.

Please record your weight on the spreadsheet and marvel at your progress!

Temptations will come along, especially over bank holidays and half term treats, but remember that you're doing this for yourself, so be kind to yourself by not giving in to the temptation from things that do you harm and risk derailing you, as every time you look after yourself in this way it get easier. If you have a wobble, post on here - we'll remind you of all the tasty things you can have instead and why.

Have a lovely week!

Morning all. Welcome back BIWI. Sorry weather was rubbish.

Belated happy birthday sammisatt. And crabby.

Well I treated myself to some red wine last night. 4 small glasses. Stuck to LC food though. Enjoyed my wine but back to normal from today.

Poor DH is a but depressed today. He has been weighing himself on an old scales for the last two years. Yesterday I put a WW scales in the main bathroom. He has gained 12 kilos overnight!! I weighed on both and am 11 kilos lighter on the old one. So he is very depressed!

good morning all! another backslider hopping back on the wagon today - 2lbs on this week which is a mercy given the amounts consumed...

sorry i haven't had time to catch up with the thread properly but happy birthday to those who have had them and good to see you back BIWI.

am still in the 10's which is a big deal for me so all is not lost, and i can't believe how much worse i feel in my self while eating 'normally' - i want to get back to not being hungry during the day! i have been away/out/celebrating a lot and it just seems that when alcohol is involved, all my resolve goes out the window. really think that's something i need to address and the rest will fall into place.

going to go back to the spreadsheet and read about ubercamp - maybe if i do that for 3 days it will kick-start ketosis again?

it's interesting to see so many of us are having the same issues, I'm also going to up my water intake again - hope everyone else has a good start to the week Smile

Well it seems I got my maths wrong as I thought I hadn't lost but according to spreadsheet of joy I'm 2.2lbs down... Still not through that stone barrier but so close! Just enjoying a big salad with avocado and feta and oily dressing, with a cold lamb kebab thing left over from the weekend. DP made fajitas last night which I love but had been avoiding due to no tortillas, but I had the mixture rolled in lettuce leaves with grated cheese and tzatziki and it was LUSH.

So I have my oldest friend and her DH coming to stay on Saturday. I don't want to make separate food, but neither do I want all the questions. So, what can I make that is LC but everyone will like/won't raise the 'why are we eating this' issue? I thought coq au vin or a nice beef casserole with creamy celeriac dauphinoise - what do you think?

bulletwithbutterflywings · 28/05/2013 13:34

Heir that sounds good! We did similar when the PILs came round for dinner - Ox cheek stew and roasted celeriac.
You could do a leek lasagne if you fancied something different served with a salad?

CrabbyBigBottom · 28/05/2013 13:37

Oooh I'm finding it very very difficult today. I'm hungover and it's raining and I really want to make cakes or scones or something. Sad Sad

Doshusallie · 28/05/2013 14:53

Hier - what about mousakka? With a nice big green side salad, garlic bread but don't have any, and a cheese board?

Crabby if you haven't already have a fry up. If I can survive a hangover day on LC food (and I have, many) then you can too!!!

kiwigirl42 · 28/05/2013 14:55

'rein in your inner gobbler' - i'd get a t shirt with that on Grin

not hungry so haven't eaten today. been busy on exercise bike and playing with new weights (got whole set of hand weights + 8x 1kg + 4 x 2kg for £3 off ebay!)

weight is 91.5kg today. was 96.8 last bank holiday!

CrabbyBigBottom · 28/05/2013 15:08

Thanks Dosh. Don't want a fry up. Want scones with jam and clotted cream. [pouts]

NewStartNewStory · 28/05/2013 15:13

Breakfast: scrambled eggs
Lunch: scrambled eggs

At this rate i am going to start to look like a scrambled egg. Or coffee. drunk waaaaaay too much coffee today. Have actually lost counts this is a bad thing Blush

kiwigirl42 · 28/05/2013 15:22

I made some chocolate mousse the other night with the thick part of a can of coconut milk mixed with 2 squares of Lindt 85% chocolate (melted in microwave with 1 tbsp of coconut oil).

I ate half first night and it was really delicious. Had second half when it had set and it was still nice. Like a big fat bomb really. Didn't set my cravings off - was just something a bit different for a treat.

I'm wondering whether I eat too much Total greek yogurt but I still seem to be loosing despite it so will keep it up.
I am post menopausal and are not taking HRT at moment so need to keep the calcium coming in. I take supplements too though

BigStickBIWI · 28/05/2013 15:23

Don't forget, you can also get lots of calcium from leafy green veg

LeatherTuscadero · 28/05/2013 15:57

decaffwithcream · 28/05/2013 16:33

I haven't been able to add to the speadsheet as the pointer stays as a big black arrow over my space in the 27th May column - it doesnt turn into a bar when i click on my space, or let me type into it?

Anyone else having trouble?

HoopaPoop · 28/05/2013 17:40

Can someone put me on the spreadsheet as stayed the same. We' re camping this week and although I seem to have packed the kitchen sink I haven't brought the scales.

IShallWearMidnight · 28/05/2013 18:11

click on "go to spreadsheet view" at the top to be able to edit.

couch25cakes · 28/05/2013 18:44

All going ok here with a little wibble. Yesterday had
B- half slice of toast Blush
L- chicken salad
D- lamb. Steaks and salad

Today
B- scrambled eggs w cream
L- salt beef salad with beetroot
D- chilli w cauliflower rice, yoghurt and grated cheese

I'm another lb down today but feeling really miserable- like PMS but wrong time of the month. Was almost ready at work (work is v stressful but I usually cope fine). It's day 8 of this woe, is this carb flu? If so I hope it passes :(

Think I'll have an early night with a trashy book (to avoid dd's treat cupboard!)

Doshusallie · 28/05/2013 18:52

I have inhaled some brazil nuts but have resolutely closed the bag telling myself not to be an inner gobbling nutty twat.

Working so far.

couch25cakes · 28/05/2013 19:27

Willie, I tried to add myself to the spreadsheet but I seem to be right at the bottom, in the wrong bit. Sorry if I've messed it up.

iheartshoes · 28/05/2013 19:34

Hi e ery

iheartshoes · 28/05/2013 19:39

Woops managed to muck up first message ! Meant to say hi everyone and ask for some advice really. Looking to loose baby weight now DD is 6 weeks. I'm not breastfeeding anymore so no excuses for sitting around eating cakes !! I've flirted with 5:2 over the past week but my fast day yesterday made me feel sick, shaky and dizzy, not good when I'm looking after DD. so I thought I might try low carb it's worked brilliantly for me in the past. The only problem is I feel that with DD I don't have the time to prep the low carb meals ... Sounds like a poor excuse but it feels so much quicker and easier just to wolf down a sandwich / crisps than to prepare a salad. I know low carb works for me would just like some support on easy meals etc to prepare I suppose. I'm currently 9.8 and would ideally like to be 8.8 but would be happy ATM with anything under 9 stone to be honest (am a shorty)
