Evening all. Slightly earlier than usual as I'm taking to my bed with Man Flu. (The most serious of all colds, don't you know?!)

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness as ever

So this is our last two weeks. Still time, though, to get rid of a few pesky pounds. Perhaps time to consider going back to strict Bootcamp, if you've been following Bootcamp Light over the last few weeks?

Next week I'm going to try another recipe from Keto Kitchen, which looks lovely - Spicy Cottage Pie. I like a good shepherd's pie, and this one sounds very tasty and a bit different from what I usually make.

Thank you for all those you who delurked last week!

Here's to a good week for all of us Flowers
@LostMyLastHatfulOfWords so sorry to hear about your son's friend. Please make sure ds gets professional support if he needs it. My friend's son was in a similar situation and it really impacted on his mental health too.
Thankyou @venusandmars - yes we are keeping an eye (an ear) on our lad... though of course he is away doing his final year at uni.

Glad you are feeling a bit better @BIWI!

KOKO here, I've now lost 25lb since Christmas and I'm about 6lb off my goal weight and needing to start thinking about how I normalise a little bit without losing my way altogether. The challenge is psychological, I fear I'm a bit addicted to ketones now and the mental clarity I get from fasting until 6pm each day but I don't think it's sustainable (for me) and eventually will slow my metabolism.

B-fasting
L-fasting (busy at work, not really hungry)
D-Chinese takeaway, followed by stewed rhubarb and cream.

The takeaway wasn't as bad as it sounds. I had a big tub of bean sprouts, a couple of battered chicken pieces (I removed and left 3/4 of the batter) and a couple of tablespoons of DS's sauce, plus a few prawn crackers. Not really BC (though it hasn't triggered a ravenous appetite so I don't think my blood sugar will have been too elevated) but I feel I'm starting to go down a rabbit hole a little bit in my head and having a less strict meal, and enjoying it whilst staying in control, maybe isn't a bad thing.

Will try to eat a bit more this weekend.

Hello everyone,

So sorry @LostmyLastHatfulOfWords - that's really chilling news and so sad.

I've had an out of the house not organised day, so ended up having peanut butter on 1 slice of toasted SB (with butter) for 'lunch' about 3pm. I'm lots of water down and many many toilet trips. I was in a shopping centre today for 3.5hrs and had to visit various loos 6 times there, I counted!

I'm off on a long car journey tomorrow over 2 x mealtimes so need to think creatively about what to take (as well as packing snacks for kids). I bought some reduced M&S strawberries today so will take these (& hide them from kids) and will maybe take some pre-spread M&S crackers with cream cheese & cucumber & watercress. I'll take kids to McDs on way home but luckily I'm not that keen!

I'm intrigued by the frying eggs in double cream idea and have googled, thank you to whoever posted that!

Happy weekend all.

RagzRebooted · 04/03/2022 21:10

Evening all. Also intrigued by eggs fried in cream. Not enough to try it though!

Hellish morning at work, busiest ever I think. We were all stressed and everyone was eating donuts, chocolate truffles, biscuits and sweets (I have suggested we adopt a healthy workplace policy, it didn't go down well - the NHS runs on sugar and caffeine) except me 😇
I had my Greek yoghurt at around 10am and leftover bolognese and cabbage for lunch.
Dinner was sausages, a fried egg and lots of shoogled Sprouts, which I sprinkled finely grated parmesan on.
Couple of creamy coffees. Lots of black coffee. Not enough water, despite keeping it on my desk and swigging all day I only drank a litre. But I must have managed well over 1.5l of coffee!

Sneaky weigh this morning showed another pound down, 13lbs so far - so close to a stone so looking good to hit that target before the end of bootcamp.

Hiya

Glad you're a bit better @biwi

Had a good first few days. No slips at all.

B - egg muffin
L - salad with crab sticks, and cheese
D hamburger and bacon with veggies.

Really need inspiration for dinners. I know there is the recipe threads, but what are your standbys/favourites...

Thanks

venusandmars · 05/03/2022 13:52

With all my eating out this week the veg box got a bit on top of me. So I've spent the morning making soup (fortunately lots of chicken stock in the freezer). Lovely leek and celery and garlic and courgette. Mmm

Dinner will be a salmon curry with red pepper and tomato, service with cauli rice and spinach.

Glorious sunshine here today, and I'm in the house waiting for the plumber to arrive...

Baystard · 05/03/2022 16:05

Fantastic day here too @venusandmars , it makes such a difference to get outside in the sunshine.

3-egg omelette with ham and mushrooms, and salad for lunch today. Stewed some blackcurrants from the freezer with just enough Natvia to make them tolerably not-sour, will have blackcurrants and clotted cream later for pudding. Have also made a diet doctor LC loaf that I'll slice and freeze, it's nice toasted with a vast lump of butter if I'm struggling for time.

RagzRebooted · 05/03/2022 21:41

Spent the day swapping our bedroom with the 2 teen DS' room as they are far too big for bunk beds now. I must confess to eating a small Boost bar midafternoon (first chocolate in over a month) for morale purposes (I was working through awful period cramps).
I could have recreated Watership Down from all the dust bunnies behind the furniture that on some cases hasn't been moved in 10 years Blush

Food today, not much as was so busy.
Couple of creamy coffees, the small chocolate bar and a bowl of Ragz' Dirty Fries (bacon, jalopenos and cheese) with mayo. Having a vodka and soda now.

Will eat all the veg and drink all the water tomorrow.

Good news - I tested negative this afternoon, as did DS1. DH still coughing and phlegming all over the place, but says his tests are negative Hmm
