Here's a link to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness lovingly managed by @ouchmyfeet.

I've added a couple of names that I've spotted this evening, but they're at the bottom of the list not alphabetised - if your name isn't on the list, add yours at the bottom, and we'll re-alphabetise it once we get going.

I'm also trying to cut down on cream in my coffee and I find I'm less hungry or maybe just more disciplined during the day if I have it black in the morning. I need a creamy coffee in the afternoon though, that's my treat.
Today
B none, long term IFer
L salad, ham and cheese roll ups
Snack creamy coffee and pork scratchings
D chicken wrapped in bacon, salad with mayo and green beans with butter.

3luckystars · 18/01/2022 18:37

Thank you x

missfliss · 18/01/2022 18:37

Eeep - have slightly cocked up. Added some ground flaxseed to my yoghurt today and yesterday - didn't really register that flaxseed is in fact a seed ...Blush

Batshittery · 18/01/2022 18:40

Ah that explains it @prettybird. Thank you

CeleriacOfTheNight · 18/01/2022 19:03

So today looked like:

Brunch - smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, spinach
Snack - a cold sausage
Dinner - cod wrapped in prosciutto, with broccoli, green beans and a lemony butter sauce made with shallots, a splash of vermouth, butter, lemon juice and cream.

And loads of fecking water, I'm sloshing.

H1Drangea · 18/01/2022 19:08

I was watching Sunday Brunch ( on Sunday morning C4 ) and they made chicken schnitzel which looked divine
So I made it tonight ..obviously not using flour and breadcrumbs , just egg and parmesan
Delicious
I did add a drop of vinegar to the salsa , and I hope this is enough of the green stuff to reach FLGV standards

Just had a tasty tea, chicken with some garlic cheese inside wrapped in bacon cooked also another sprinkle of cheese and a massive head of broccoli. Put broccoli in a bowl 1st chicken on top then the ju poured over! In my head I'm telling myself that's a bad tea but it's all allowed. I'm maybe confused hahaha iv never enjoyed my food so trying to loose weight.

TakeItCheesy · 18/01/2022 19:17

@H1Drangea That looks lush, thanks for sharing the recipe.

Today for me is
B: Coffee & tiny bit of cream, spinach & ham egg muffin
L: Courgette halloumi roll ups w/avocado & rocket salad
D: Parmesan meatballs with a couple of salad/veg mixes (trying to keep a few prepped in the fridge to avoid boredom)

BestIsWest · 18/01/2022 19:19

B - Scrambled eggs
L - Greek yog
D - shoogled Savoy cabbage ‘tagliatelle’ with a bacon, tomato, chilli and pecorino sauce. Delicious.

StuntNun · 18/01/2022 19:27

Today's food:

B: nothing as I'm a long-term Bootcamper and intermittent faster but I did have a lot of water and a couple of herbal teas.
L: French Onion Soup due to a weird craving (Waitrose tinned is about 4.5g carbs per 100g) with Schneider-Brot Protein Bread, then some kimchi, home-made kefir, a large chunk of nature cheddar and more herbal tea.
D: sirloin steak with roasted cherry tomatoes and a roasted huge portobello mushroom.

I'm about to drink yet more water before bedtime.

MrsTophamHat · 18/01/2022 19:29

B - scrambled eggs
L- leek and cauli soup with double cream
T- chicken breast (forgot to buy skin on) with shoogled sprouts and brocolli stirfried in garlic and butter.

LoCarbLife · 18/01/2022 19:31

B - longtime IF'er
l - leftover chicken soup followed by leftover cauliflower and broccoli cheese
D - chicken breast, avocado sauce, baked mushrooms and buttered sprouts. Odd combo but I had various veg to use up (and it was actually really nice).

Snacks - after dinner 'pudding' of cherry tomatoes and remaining sprouts. Earlier I had a small coconut milk latte, which I'm guessing is completely against the rules even though it's 4.9g carbs?

Mimosa1 · 18/01/2022 19:47

Omg @StuntNun I LOVE french onion soup. I need to buy this. I work near a french restaurant that makes the best french onion soup ever - I assumed it was sugary. You've made my day :)

@ilovecherries and Wombat, I remember you both well from precious BC. I'm so sorry you've had such a hideous time, cherries. That sounds really, really tough. It's lovely to see old "faces" again though.

I'm quite proud of myself today. I bought breakfast at the M&S food near the office and picked up what I thought were tomatoes stuffed with goats cheese and a precooked Spanish omelette. Turns out it was sweet peppers (10g/100) and spanish omelettes are full of potato after a bite of each, I threw them and £5 away. I had a pack of ham for breakfast instead ah oh I'd bought to add to a premise salad. No stick please, BIWI, I'll do better next time.

Wishing you all the best

ilovecherries · 18/01/2022 19:55

Thanks for the lovely welcome, everyone, and how nice to see so many ‘old’ bootcampers with new names. (I never change my user name, maybe I should?)

prettybird, coffee sometime would be lovely but I’m still feeling quite shaky and panicky if I go too far from home unless DH or DD are with me, so it might be a while. Now that I’m on my feet again I do have little ‘tasks’ to do every week to challenge myself so today I’ve been super brave by having a walk by myself and joining in here.

Today has been relatively easy food-wise. It’s been a bit more ‘snacky’ than I’d like but I think I’ve got into the habit of small meals little and often to try and reduce the nausea so I need to work on that.

B: Small FF Greek yog
S: chicken drumstick and a stick of celery
L: tuna mayo with a green salad with EVOO
S: Beanie coffee with cream
D: 2 chicken thighs with a plate of mixed roasted (LC) veg

Lots of mint teas and water has also been consumed. Shattered now so probably an early night.

StuntNun · 18/01/2022 19:55

Soups can be weird Mimosa because they sometimes only have a small amount of moderate carb veg. So, for example, carrot and coriander soup can be lower than something like chicken soup. I always add a lump of butter to soup when heating it as they are often low fat.

AllTheBlackCoffee · 18/01/2022 20:00

God, I LOVE adding double cream to my Greek yogurt, it's a real treat. I don't have it very often though, but when I do I really enjoy it.

Just trying to chug down the last of my water. DH is out tonight so fancy an early night once DS is in bed so don't want to leave it too late or I'll be up all night again.

BIWI · 18/01/2022 20:27

@JSL52 have you downloaded the Google Sheets app? If you have, and it still isn't working for you, try refreshing it.

@Benvolio would you like to be added to the spreadsheet?

@missfliss don't worry! We all make mistakes, especially at the beginning. We'll pretend you didn't post that Wink

@YesIcan3 absolutely that's allowed! It's one of the greatest things about this WOE, that you can eat such lovely food. You need to readjust your mindset from thinking of fat as a baddie, to embracing it.

@LoCarbLife 4.9g carbs isn't that bad, but remember, we're supposed to be getting most of our carbs from veg/salad. So it's good for an occasional thing.

BetterthanIthink · 18/01/2022 20:30

Dinner tonight was some 2.5 thin cut steaks cooked in butter with some broccoli.
Been good at work and kept filling up my water bottle to drink .
Might add in some sliced lemon tomorrow and drink it hot / warm .

RagzReturnedUnwrapped · 18/01/2022 20:36

Flowers @ilovecherries sorry you've had a shitty few years. I remember you from my successful bootcamp days. We've done this before, we can do it again!

@ToddlingForwards that's a beautiful cabbage. However, you (and the rest of bootcamp) are now going to get my cabbage story, because that's what happens whenever anyone mentions growing cabbages. It has been 14 years and I'm not over this (in case you can't tell).

I was a young, naive housewife with my first garden and excited to grow some healthy vegetables for my family and save us a fortune in the process. I chose some cabbage plants and dreamed of cabbages galore for years to come... £3 for 6 tiny cabbage plants. But what potential!
So I planted my 6 baby cabbage plants and regaled DH with my tales of greenfingered glory and the brassica filled future that lay before us.
DH, however, was a gardener at the time and a little more knowledgeable than I in the ways of cabbage. Apparently my 6 tiny, but beautiful plants would yield me not a lifetime of cabbagey delight, but 6 cabbages. 6. After which, they plants will wilt away, having fulfilled their single cabbage destiny (if they make it that far, more on that later.) I doubted the veracity of his claim, because logic dictates that if the price of a cabbage plant is 50p and the price of a cabbage in the supermarket is around 50p, no idiot would ever buy cabbage plants....
Not only am I that idiot, I also lost the battle of the cabbages to the fearful enemy that is the cabbage white butterfly, who's kin devoured more than 50% of my crop and left me with just a few ropey (because I'm a shit gardener) and overpriced cabbages to show for my troubles.

RagzRebooted · 18/01/2022 20:54

Forgot to add food yesterday
Breakfast - Creamy coffee at 7am, Greek yoghurt and a peperami thing around 10am.
Lunch - chicken and veg soup
Dinner - 2 beef burgers, mashed swede, Cheesy leeks, cabbage and few slices of carrot (leftover veg from Sunday roast)

Today
Breakfast and lunch same as yesterday
Dinner - DH made meatballs in creamy tomato sauce with mozzarella, which I had with half a savoy cabbage (I love cabbage still!) stir fried in butter and olive oil.

Batshittery · 18/01/2022 20:55

Ragz It was worth the money to have such a fabulous story to share Grin

ToddlingForwards · 18/01/2022 21:00

@RagzReturnedUnwrapped love the cabbage story! I grow veg (and fruit, and flowers) for many reasons, but money saving is certainly not one of them! (Well, maybe the flowers, it would cost a fortune to have a house full of purchased fresh flowers all summer).

I need to start noting names as I read.. to whoever accidentally inhaled coco pops - I did the same last time. Ate a chicken nugget off my kid’s plate. Genuinely didn’t have any idea what I was doing until it was done. Took me aback as I realised how utterly mindless much of my consumption is.

@DollyDingleberry love your 4L bottle. Have copied you and just ordered one. Much easier to keep track this way!

DollyDingleberry · 18/01/2022 21:01

I had a terrible day at work today which would usually translate to a terrible food day but DH roasted me a chicken having sensed my stress levels and honestly, I reckon he’s a keeper.

I’m doing one day at a time until this WOE becomes habit again, so instead of trying to stick to it for a whole week it’s just the day I need to power through. It works brilliantly for me and today I’ve officially made it Grin

It’s day 2 and the stable blood sugars thing has already kicked in for me. I remember this from last time. Hunger just isn’t a ‘thing’ in the same way as it was on a high carb diet. It’s probably due to insulin resistance that I really feel the difference very quickly. I’m so used to over producing insulin and feeling hunger quickly after meals that the absence of that hunger is really noticeable.

Anyway, I’m full of butter and enough water to drown Kent so I’m off to bed Grin

DollyDingleberry · 18/01/2022 21:05

Yes but your home grown £1 cabbages were organic and grass fed (or something) and therefore the equivalent of a fancy farm shop cabbage - none of your Sainsbury’s shite.

In a farm shop it’s at least £40 a cabbage so really they were a bargain.

It’s outrageous. If it had arms and legs it would be the same size as my 9 month old and he’s not small for his age!

DH has named it ‘the water tank’ and thinks I need to swap arms when I’m carrying it to avoid on enormous bicep.
