My phone must have been on beauty mode or something, my skin doesn't look that good IRL lol. Far too red (I often wonder if I have rosacea). Goes even more red and blotchy with red wine.

I managed to stop at one very small glass of wine during bingo and didn't give in to the snack craving it gave me. I had a creamy coffee and some water instead Halo

ditavonteesed · 07/03/2021 07:24

Well done @LibbyL92 that's a brilliant achievement.

Wow you are all so gorgeous. @BIWI you look amazing.
@Oneborneverydecade your hair is gorgeous and wow what a difference.

I had this thing where I saw some friends out walking yesterday and I was wearing a massive coat, they commented on my weight loss and I have no idea how they knew (maybe my face shrunk as well).

I can't decide what to do with my hair at the moment, I shaved it off last year at the start of things as I was getting so paranoid about what I was bringing home from work on my hair, it's now in a pixie cut, well at least it was when I got it done 3 months ago. Also red, normally henna it but for a change since it's so short I ve bleached it and dyed it silver.
You are all very beautiful.

ChristMyArse · 07/03/2021 07:26

It's so nice to see your faces!!! All beautiful!!

God you don't post for a day and it feels like you've been MIA for weeks.

Caught up on the chat. I have fine, straight hair that just sits as flat as possible on my head so I can't contribute to the hair chat 😁

So I lost 3lb overnight - hurray I hear you shout... then promptly burnt my oesophagus by going to sleep after taking my evening meds. The pain. THE PAIN. Ended up in A and E at 5am yesterday morning as my chest was agony.. interestingly I also came out head to toe in a rash which they said was the body's response to the inflammation of the oesophagus. The body is quite amazing.

Not been able to eat well (have remained on bc) and I've struggled with water - couldn't even swallow my own saliva at one point, and not been able to take my meds, including senna which means that just as I was starting to get somewhere, it's all had to stop. Now I've put 2lb BACK ON. I've been farting around this weight for 4 weeks. It was my fault for buggering it up with the cherry brandy.

Feeling much better today and hopefully will be able to drink more. I'm hoping and praying for a woosh for tomorrow...

ditavonteesed · 07/03/2021 07:34

@ChristMyArse blimey that sounds awful sending loads of sympathy.

StuntNun · 07/03/2021 07:39

Oh crikey ChristMyArse that sounds terrible! I hope you make a speedy recovery. Can you make some soup as that should be easy to swallow? Or maybe scrambled eggs?

ChristMyArse · 07/03/2021 07:45

All I do is moan - sorry - I'm really not this annoying in real life, well actually.... 😂

ChristMyArse · 07/03/2021 07:49

@ditavonteesed @StuntNun thank you, I will try soup. I feel much better this morning. I was so tired I was able to sleep upright all night. That, combined with my body weight being currently made up of mainly gaviscon, has really helped improve things. Today I will be aiming for all the water as I couldn't get much down yesterday!

FusionChefGeoff · 07/03/2021 08:04

Morning!

Welcome @LibbyL92 I'm just heading into week 3 so nice to have another new person!

God I felt miserable yesterday. I've still very much got an emotional link to carbs / chocolate and was so grumpy that I couldn't just dive into 2 grab bags of caramel buttons after dinner.

I did cave and have a mini Aldi bar of dark chocolate but compared to my usual Sat consumption pre BC that was a miracle really.

I was also desperate to boredom snack all day as nothing was going on, kids were entertaining themselves, DH was bike riding and I was sooooo booooooorred.

I made do with a very small pot of Greek yoghurt, a slice of ham and a boiled egg. Which again, compared to what I wanted to have was amazing really!!!!!

I think I was feeling very discouraged by my slight gain this week but drank loads of water and was more careful with portion size.

Run day today which usually helps me feel much better and eliminates comfort snacking.

Onwards and upwards!!!

Plan for today:

L: smoked mackerel pate with cucumber, celery - any other suggestions what to have it with??
D: creamy korma with roasted cauli and spinach

Have a great day everyone

cheeseisthebest · 07/03/2021 08:19

Fusionchef you could have some ham, eggs, cream cheese, you really need more fat in both those meals! Hope you have a better day, boredom eating is hard to overcome.

nowlook · 07/03/2021 08:26

Christ, Christ, that sounds terrible! Can you make something to soothe it? Like ice cream? Glad you're feeling a bit better today Thanks

What do you use on your hair Ragz? It looks to be in great condition. I like the slight wavy version.

Geoff, try to remember that, on MN, you shouldn't come straight out with the fact your DH is a cyclist. Instead, you need to moan vaguely about his hobby that takes up family time but that you can't disclose as it would be outing Wink

VeryLittleOwl · 07/03/2021 08:33

ChristMyArse that does not sound fun in the slightest :( Glad you're feeling better this morning.

My NSV today is that I can do up the zip on the measuring shorts without having to lie down now. Comparison picture is the end of the last bootcamp. Only about 5lbs difference (I spent the first few weeks of this BC undoing Christmas...) but I am definitely starting to beat the muffin top into submission. And when compared to where I started, I can't believe how much difference 20lbs makes!

@VeryLittleOwl that's amazing - well done!!! Very inspirational thank you.

cheeseisthebest · 07/03/2021 08:45

That's amazing!
Christmyarse hope you feel better. Soubds awful.
I've been really strict past few days and it's worked, I've had all the water and have got over 10st 3 hump and just weighed in at 10st 1. So happy. 9lb lost so far.

Oneborneverydecade · 07/03/2021 08:51

Thank you @Bestbees and @ditavonteesed (well done on your nsv!)

@nowlook would you contemplate embracing your greys? I'd love to be 100% grey

Sorry to hear you've been unwell @ChristMyArse hope you feel better soon

@VeryLittleOwl what's the story with those shorts? They're tiny! I don't think I really held onto much, which means I know have to shop - yay but also have some regret - soft black leather jacket I mean you

Oneborneverydecade · 07/03/2021 08:52

Now not know. Been up since 5am urgh.

Broke my 35 hr fast with chicken mayo salad at 6am

nowlook · 07/03/2021 08:54

I always love your shorts pics Owl. I have jeans that are still very much in the first photo category...

Great news cheese...you'll soon be seeing the 9s! Star

@Ninkanink that is an impressive handbag. Beautiful. I hope you get to take it somewhere suitably glamorous soon.

@BIWI @nowlook @RagzReturnsRebooted great to see faces. Thanks for sharing. You are all beautiful and so different from the mental picture I had.

@ChristMyArse that sounds awful. Glad you are feeling better this morning.

I am thoroughly annoyed to have got to just the button bands to knit on an ambitious cardigan and there is not enough wool. It’s a Rowan pattern and wool and I have measured it overall it is measuring up as it should. Am composing a complaining e-mail to Rowan but after so much work just feel really disappointed. DH has just come up with coffee for me and reported that he has taken all the cushions off the sofa but has not found a stray ball of wool- bless him I knew he wouldn’t.

What with the knitting and a text from DS just before midnight to ask when he last had a tetanus. Yes he’d spent the evening in a&e but no he hadn’t needed stitches. I didn’t sleep well.

Long run today if I can muster the enthusiasm. Feeling grumpy.

DD has very curly hair. I think it is so beautiful but I understand how difficult it is. When she was a child it was difficult for us both. I would condition it and plait it while wet with conditioner left in. Mine is ridiculously thick and needs to be cut every six weeks to keep it neat. But going crazy atm. Colouring it purple which gets lots of compliments. Not brave/ reckless enough to cut it myself. Hairdressers always comment how difficult it is!! Not for an amateur I think. DH is itching to have a go. I cannot imagine why he would want to put himself in the position of the hairdresser I was not happy with. He’s brave and reckless. I cut his hair.

Oh yes Low Carb Boot Camp

I was a carby rear yesterday. I’m forgetting about that. Braced for big stick.

B might do the smoked salmon cream cheese egg combo and have a long run. sorry I have forgotten who suggested this.
L soup and cheese
D shakshouka, FLGV

@VeryLittleOwl great progress with the shorts!

Have added to the clothes donations pile. Wise words from you lovely lot are helping. Still a day or two behind my item a day target.

Pleaseandthankyou · 07/03/2021 09:21

@ChristMyArse you deserve to have moan. What better place to do it. Ladies you all look wonderful, I hadn’t imagined you all so glamorous 😀. Maybe by constantly talking about weight you/we are underselling your very obvious attractiveness .

Doilooklikeatourist · 07/03/2021 09:45

@ChristMyArse , oh goodness , I do hope you’re feeling better

@VeryLittleOwl great shorts progress ( it’s still -0.3 here , I’m hoping it won’t be long before we can get the summer clothes out )

@RagzReturnsRebooted I’m with you on the fine and flat hair , I asked for and received hair products for a Christmas present , when I bother , it does help !

Painted my nails last night , so I couldn’t have any snacks , still managed to drink one glass of wine too many though ( also means I won’t have one too many tonight , as there won’t be much left ! )

I’m up to one minute on the plank challenge , which is impressive !
I’m impressed , anyway !

Will get out for a walk , keep the step count up

Loving all the photos , we are a good looking lot !

ListenLinda · 07/03/2021 09:48

Managed 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep last night and have woken up with a stonking headache. Just taken a Naproxen as that’s all I could find in the cupboard, did I read some weird about Ibruprofen meds affecting weight loss, or did I imagine that?

Anyway, went to Aldi yesterday. Stocked up on my green veggies, I’ve got sprouts Grin going to do a roast chicken dinner today. Got some lovely pork belly slices for tomorrow! They are a new fave in this house which surprised me as DH doesn’t really like fatty meat but he will eat that.

It’s my uncles funeral on Tuesday Sad might have my first gin of the year to raise a glass to him afterwards.

Was nice to see all your faces! I don’t dare upload one yet as I can’t see much difference in mine yet 😂

Bestbees · 07/03/2021 09:52

@ChristMyArse sounds horrific. I hope you feel better today.
@FusionChefGeoff we all have those days, and it's the koko that matters.
@VeryLittleOwl great visual for progress. Those shorts look tiny!

I have been eating, eating all weekend. Just snacky and nibbly and grumpy! Ah well. I am down a lb and think my body wants it back!

Oneborneverydecade · 07/03/2021 09:58

@nowlook I do love that colour tbf. When I told my mum recently that I was going to start using skincare her response was "it's not your skin that ages you, it's the grey hair". Oh okay. What kind of grey is yours? An all over shiny silver?

Pleaseandthankyou · 07/03/2021 10:04

I have a NSV. Last summer I was shocked to find my blood pressure reading showing figures over 160. It wasn’t a one off. I have lost just over a stone since then. Three times this week I have measured my BP and the highest has been 110/70. A stone isn’t a massive amount in the great scale of things. This has not been a relaxing week, I have worked 6 long days. I have only managed one of the yoga classes that was supposed to have relaxed me 😀. It demonstrates to me how important this boot camp thread has been.

ListenLinda · 07/03/2021 10:08

That’s a great NSV @Pleaseandthankyou ! High blood pressure is the worst i struggled for years with it on the pill which also coincided with the huge weight gain.
I haven’t had it checked in nearly 2 years Blush
