Week 3 - Jan '21 Low Carb Bootcamp - time for Light?

Well thanks to all the chat, I've had to start this week's thread earlier than usual Grin

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to declare all

You now have a choice: you can move on to Bootcamp Light, which means you can re-introduce nuts and seeds, some fruit and alcohol - all in moderation.

However, also bear in mind that weeks 3 & 4 are notorious for little or not weight loss and this is nothing to do with moving on to Bootcamp Light. It's just something that seems to happen.

So it's up to you. You can stay on Bootcamp if you wish, or move on to Bootcamp Light, or a hybrid - so you do Bootcamp during the week but relax into Bootcamp Light at the weekend.

Whatever you decide - good luck! Here's to a good week ahead.

Had a few blackberries and blueberries with my Greek yog this morning, they needed eating and I hate waste. By 11.30 my stomach was really rumbling, which doesn’t usually happen anymore.
Think I’ll stick to my Greek yogurt and coffee or scramble eggs in future!

I clicked the link and now I won't get that 10mins of my life back. Should have listened to Althelstane.

So many posters with talented crafting skills has reminded me that I would like to learn to crochet. I can knit (a little bit, simple stuff only) but never tried crochet and I don't know anyone who can teach me - does anyone have any recommendations for YouTube tutorials or books please?

Brunch/lunch today crispy smoked streaky bacon, an egg fried in butter and some leftover garlicky fried kale warmed up in the same pan. It was delish!
Dinner will be chicken and steak fajita bowl topped with sour cream and guacamole.

I can contribute cat pics if you really want?

Love your cats 1stMrsF

I could fill these threads with cute pictures of our boys Wink - they're called Frasier and Niles (and suit their names Grin) and the Siamese cat toy in the picture is called Daphne Grin

On the Westministender threads we have a habit of "being place marking" on threads with cat pictures (long story Wink) so I get to post up a picture of the boys (and our previous cats) every new thread.

Just spent over an hour gritting the street with NdN and now it's pouring with rain and washing it all away Sad
Chicken thighs currently in the slow-cooker for a late lunch but may save them for tomorrow as I'm still full from breakfast, did have a few olives just now though.

Meatballs for dinner, not sure what with yet. I may try courgettit again.

Jollyholibobs · 06/02/2021 15:37

Hi everyone I feel I have found my people on this thread.
Nutrition, knitting, running, the importance of a good well fitting bra and now cats.
Love it!
@prettybird beautiful knitting. Just wow.
Wool for some new sock projects arrived today.
Have run a 10k charity event from home today. Good opportunity to push the pace and pleased to have finished just 25secs slower than when I did the event in London with all the atmosphere and other runners and a flatter course last time. Plus I ran fasted and no nasty gels. And raised money for cancer research.

Has taken days to catch up so sorry for lack of engagement with previous posts. @venusandmars love the beach photo I grew up by the sea and now live right in the middle of the country easily 2-3 hours any direction to get to beach.

Welcome to the newbies. You’ll love it here.

B black coffee and water before run
L cheese with hm red cabbage and celeriac coleslaw + Greek yog
D pan fried salmon, aubergine with harissa and yogurt dressing + flgv

Must stop browsing mums net and go to post office with online shopping returns. Enjoying shopping in a smaller size but not all are keepers. More on its way!

Obligatory cat pics.
We used to feed our cats a mostly raw food diet, the village butcher sells pet mince. They also have biscuits but one cat (B&W one) won't eat them not natter what they are unless she's absolutely starving (and no one is watching).
They really thrived on it, but eventually got bored of it so we're back on wet food until they are bored of that and will switch back. Most pet food is full of rubbish.

Hello everyone, loving the cat pictures! I'm more of a dog person myself but DH has allergies so can't have one (unless I get rid of him 🤔)

Anyway, I went a bit overboard on vodka last night, did not eat anything thankfully but I'm feeling very fragile today! I've nibbled most of the day on peanut butter (frozen on a teaspoon, like having an ice cream!), some cheese and have just mustered the energy to throw a chicken, fake bacon and veg bake in the oven with a tin of tomatoes and all the spices! Hope it turns out ok!

Have learned a valuable lesson about alcohol 😩

ChristMyArse · 06/02/2021 15:54

Ahhh LOVE the cat pictures. Here are our boys, apologies for the quality of the photo.. it's the only picture I have of them all together!

Spent much of today tidying my flat ahead of photographers coming on Monday. Still feeling quite sad about the sale process and stressed. Ended up having a nap for an hour which is quite unlike me.

Breakfast - coffee
Lunch - mutton stew (with mushroom and tomatoes) and yogurt
Dinner - some sort of omelette I think

I tried a new yogurt today from here: thedorsetdairyco.com/

I quite liked it - not as much as my favourite Waitrose one but it made a nice change. There was something like mascarpone about the flavour - it was super nice with some vanilla.

Cute cat photos!

Oh dear there’s a random photo appeared don’t know how

Oneborneverydecade · 06/02/2021 16:26

I struggled to find a photo amid the millions of our toddler. We inherited her last Spring after my ex/DS's dad sadly passed away.

Oh so many scrumptious cats! I’m a dog person, really, but love cats too... LOVE the eyes peeking out from the box.

Have been to our local farm shop again this afternoon to pick up some ice cream. That’s the only time we’re going to spend outdoors today as the weather is horrible.

Ninkanink · 06/02/2021 16:37

Oh a doggy as well!! ❤️❤️

Justcallmecaptainobvious · 06/02/2021 16:55

Loving the cat photos! I’d love to have cats, but don’t feel I could subject them to my toddlers, hopefully we’ll be able to soon. Gorgeous Siamese photo (lost it to tag the person!), my mum used to breed Siamese so they’re a favourite of mine.

Not sure what you lot have done to me, I wasn’t hungry for breakfast, then had less than half my normal portion at lunch! Did have a small snack mid afternoon, but this is unheard of. Have a chicken roasting (suitably buttered) and broccoli and cauliflower cheese (BIWI’s recipe) in the oven. Looking forward to dinner, but in a vague “I’ll be ready and need fuel” kind of way not a starving kind of way.

Had a sip of DH’s Coke Zero, out of interest to see whether my tastebuds have changed. Tasted like drinking pure sugar, I couldn’t really taste it over the sheer sweetness. So yes, clearly taste buds have changed!

Ninkanink · 06/02/2021 16:59

Oh excuse me i think it’s eyes in a bag (mustn’t annoy the cats...)
