Evening campers!

Setting this up now, as I had a bad night last night so I'm sloping off to bed early

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Thanks @AthelstaneTheUnready I've entered my weights.

Rshard · 02/06/2020 10:39

I love bresaola too puppermint, M&S do a big pack for £3 which lasts me ages.

Oh brassica I can totally relate to the daily battle of feeding the family. I genuinely feel like I am running a small cafe.

The thread is still so busy!

venusandmars · 02/06/2020 10:58

sophieray on one of the previous bootcamps someone posted a graph of their daily weight. It was reassuring to see how much it fluctuated, and yet the overall trend from week to week was down. It is hard to see an increase on the scales, but I bear that graph in mind and don't let the ++ parts derail me.

Food today - breaking fast at 11am with creamy coffee
L - egg mayonnaise and salad
D - salmon with chorizo, tomatoes, spinach
Water, water, water

Rshard · 02/06/2020 11:06

I’ve lost count of how many bottles of water I’ve had - argh!

BrassicaBabe · 02/06/2020 11:08

I use app Happy Scale after @ilovecherries recommended it.

Here is mine. Spot when lockdown hit me Grin

@BIWI

Don't bother! Just join us in Bootcamp 'proper'
Am I ok to still do the 16/8 fasting? I’m not hungry when I get up in the morning so don’t eat until lunchtime. I’m not sure if I’ll manage the fasting when I go back to work though so would I be better to give it up now and eat when I get up?
TheClitterati · 02/06/2020 11:59

so I gained a pound!! Apart from mid week cake blip, and a couple of days not hitting water tagets (getting to 3 litres not 4.5) I've been following all the rules and IF well.

KOKO.

BeyondDreamsOfBeyondFourWalls · 02/06/2020 12:07

I'm still doing 16:8 now, I'm just not hungry. And yesterday I had coffee with cream and then tea! Only had coffee today so far too. I think OMAD might be my natural way of eating!! Shock

Haha, mine has different numbers but the bloody curve is the same.

Yes! Did you not read the rules I posted at the start of the thread?!

Well, then you haven't been following the rules ...

It's a revelation, isn't it?!

One of the fantastic side effects of low carbing is the appetite suppressant. It makes fasting so easy as well.

Wow Shag, you poo big! That’s half a big bag of spuds! Grin

devoncreamtea · 02/06/2020 12:47

@BIWI re IF - I am hungry in the morning but not at lunch...I wonder if morning hunger might change naturally as I go on or if I just need to do it anyway and get used to it?!

BIWI · 02/06/2020 12:49

It's entirely up to you how you choose to fast - but if you're eating in the morning and then in the evening, your fasting period won't be very long, will it?

Why not have a go and see what happens? I honestly don't know what will happen!

Great halloumi recipe @Brassicababe ! Thanks for that.

I'm getting less hungry at breakfast and that final hour isn't passing as slowly. Even the water-drinking is getting easier.

(If you are new to this, I promise that water is a REALLY important part of the plan, even if it just seems like a chore. Missing it can really slow or even stall your weight-loss and lead to many unwanted digestive problems too. Embrace the rules!)

SquishyBones · 02/06/2020 13:35

I’m making chicken Kiev tonight

I had a dream last night that a big fight broke out on AIBU because someone posted saying that this bootcamp group was ridiculous and that we all had eating disorders. BIWI went ape shit and waded in with loads of facts and figures and the rest of us jumped in to back us up. In the end it was a full scale riot, we were all outside throwing things and hurling abuse and mumsnet HQ turned up in riot gear threatening to gas us all.

A combination of watching the news before bed and low carbing I think!!! 😂😂

MrsKoala · 02/06/2020 13:41

Only managed 14:10 IF today as had a bad night and was up with dd who wet the bed and I am having a heavy period. Was feeling a bit faint (I keep getting that light headed blacking out feeling when I stand up and I can’t see for a few seconds so I suspect my anaemia is back) and tired so had breakfast earlier.

Went to the garden centre yesterday and bought some Mooli plants as Tom Kerridge uses them a lot in his dopamine diet book. I’ve looked at the spreadsheet and I can’t see them but google says they are low carb and from the radish family. So I hope they are approved BIWI?

Yesterday was 16:8 - Yogurt, tuna mayo, boiled egg, gherkins and green salad. Chilli with griddled courgettes, sour cream and avocado.

Me too. I generally don't eat breakfast and have not missed eating it one bit. It's my natural eating pattern. In week one I experimented with how long I could fast for and I've found 20 hours is quite comfortable. So a small, tasty lunch at 2 pm followed by a generous dinner at 6pm suits me fine.

I haven't felt hungry, even when cooking dinner for everyone. Long may it continue and the pounds melt away Grin . I do have a looooong way to go though.

1stMrsF · 02/06/2020 13:52

Just checking in.
B - creamy coffee
L - cold chicken, avocado, leaves, halloumi & dressing
D - will be a BBQ featuring pork steaks and/or chicken thighs and hm coleslaw

@SquishyBones made me LOL!

Rshard · 02/06/2020 14:01

Thanks BIWI, couldn’t figure it out!

Your dream made me laugh squishy, could totally imagine that actually happening!

(There was one Bootcamp that got so fighty I almost abandoned it in the first week!)

That doesn't sound good. Do you also suffer from low blood pressure?
