Setting this up now, as I had a bad night last night so I'm sloping off to bed early

Feeling a bit better now after a stomp dog walk with a funny podcast. No wine has been imbibed.

Today's food:

L: Greek salad
S: pack of goats cheese Cheesies
D: IDP butter chicken, cauli rice

moleeye · 05/06/2020 21:05

Stopped myself from raiding the goody drawer two days in a row 😇

I know I'll feel better for not falling head first into temptation, but I'm still struggling. I thought wine would be the issue as it's been the routine to sink a couple glasses every night since lockdown, but nope.

I'll feel better once this period arrives as I'm also snappy and irritable. Daily weighing is helping me maintain focus. That and the fact I cannot get into any of my work clothes!

Off to bed now as tomorrow is a new day!

prettybird · 05/06/2020 21:25

This is my supper tonight: chargrilled broccoli and halloumi from a recipe that I think Brassicababe (?) posted up ages ago. I've posted both the baking tray and my plate, to show that I have loads leftover as dh doesn't like broccoli Grin

Yummm Smile

Had a good day today, eggs, cheese, salad with lovely oil, mustard and vinegar dressing etc.

We have a family socially distanced bbq tomorrow, so planning to make a Greek salad to take. Then try to stick with the salads and olives.

Had a tough week at work so really trying to avoid falling face first into the vino. Hope everyone is getting on ok, I'm keeping fingers crossed for a return to the sunshine next week!

MarkRuffaloCrumble · 05/06/2020 21:30

Thanks for the info BIWI, that’s really helpful. Having a bit of wobble today, feeling hungry for the first time in ages.

Managed to stick to low carb but feeling a bit fed up with it tbh. I think having to plan, shop for, think about and cook appropriate food for me, veggie DS and fussy DD, is taking its toll. Need to get them on board to help with cooking.

ShagMeRiggins · 05/06/2020 22:04

Need to get them on board to help with cooking.

I think that’s your solution.

Planning and shopping etc can be a faff, but if you think about it as self care it might change your point of view. It’s a pleasure to do these things, in the same way it’s a pleasure to have a schedule for gel nails in a salon, or know that Sunday is your long bath day, or that Monday nights are all about Killing Eve, or you get to run your 10k on Saturday, or you’re doing...well, whatever it is you do.

Remember how it benefits you and it doesn’t seem as much of a chore.

Also check the recipe threads for inspiration. Always helpful.

OnceUponAMidnightBeery · 05/06/2020 22:14

I’m on behind on this thread it’s ridiculous Blush congratulations to our amazing losers (BC record??!)

KOKO everyone Grin

No loss for me this week, but I was experimenting with carb counts, turns out I do need to keep it a lot lower than 60g at least to kick start the process. We’re all different I guess!

Also AF, my starting weight was probably on a low day. And still need more water, water, WATER, ok at home but not in work on my own for 7 hours, I should invest in tenalady!!Blush

I think there’s a little less belly, I daren’t measure in case it’s imagination.

More energy, clearer head, mostly sleeping much better, love this WOE!

MarkRuffaloCrumble · 05/06/2020 22:53

Thanks Shagme, that’s a good attitude.

LostaraYil · 05/06/2020 23:09

My order of Cheesies arrived today, perfect for a Friday evening snack! I too am jealous of the takeaways some of you are having, we're rural and can only get Domino's or a Chinese. I'd kill for a takeaway curry atm.
L- scrambled eggs, bacon, avocado
D- burger (cheese, no bun), salad with gherkins, a few cherry tomatoes, mayo
S- coffee with cream, Cheesies

1WildTeaParty · 05/06/2020 23:10

Such imaginative meals on here!
I don't need to do meal planning for next week - I'll just follow all of you into low-carby deliciousness.

devoncreamtea · 06/06/2020 07:33

Really needed that early night! Brilliant work going on last night with everyone swerving wine and adapting usual takeaways - very impressive! 🙂
@OnceUponAMidnightBeery
i think AF can really affect weight loss. I’ve read it somewhere - might be on here or might be Diet Doctor - but also from personal experience, I gain lots of water. So hang in there!

I am a daily weighter and have had some loss this week so far after not having any for a couple of weeks - I started before BC. I’ve lost 4 pounds so far this week - I’m amazed!
Today’s plan is
B scrambled eggs avo and bacon
L salad and cheese or tuna
D lamb chops and flgv

devoncreamtea · 06/06/2020 07:35

What were the cheesies like Lostara ?

moleeye · 06/06/2020 08:16

@devoncreamtea I've got Cheesies as well. Bought the cheddars ones last time which were very strong! Have the Gouda this time which are not as strong, both are lovely.

I found I can't finish a cheddar pack but can easily demolish the Gouda! 🙈

They taste a bit like the puff pastry cheese twists M&S do.

devoncreamtea · 06/06/2020 08:31

Yum! I love Gouda anyway so I’m not surprised!

devoncreamtea · 06/06/2020 08:37

Random ‘anyway’ appeared in my post! Must remove myself from bed - no idea what kids are up to 😬

Puppermint · 06/06/2020 08:48

Cheesies are lovely. I've just received a rather large order and they definitely satisfy my crisp addiction urge.

Ive got an exciting tea tonight! I've ordered some Lo Dough and am going to attempt to make pizza. Since lockdown we've been having pizza and cards nights on Saturdays usually wI th a bucketload of wine to make Uno more bearable so am going to give them a go. They were pricey but if they are nice will be worth it for a weekly treat.

Lunch will be cold meats and tomato and mozzarella salad.

Am off shopping this morning. Have been making a list on my phone and something has auto corrected to 'big time'. I have no idea what it is but I'm sure it will prove to be a vital ingredient to my menu for the week. If anyone has any suggestions, do let me know.

prettybird · 06/06/2020 08:49

I was in a very big Sainsbury's yesterday and I looked for popped cheese snacks and didn't see any Sad

devoncreamtea · 06/06/2020 08:50

🤣 at your big time shopping item puppermint !! Who knows?! Sounds good though - get 2.

devoncreamtea · 06/06/2020 08:54

Oh no prettybird! I found them in Sainsbury’s with the nuts at the end of an aisle, they were hiding next to pork scratching on the top shelf. I thought I was reaching for pork scratching’s but ended up with cheese! Bonus! Maybe treat yourself to a Cheesies order online...?

Rshard · 06/06/2020 09:02

These cheesies sound lovely, will be looking in Sainsbury’s next time I go.

It was me her posted the broccoli and halloumi bake prettybird, here it is again for anyone who fancies it.

Sneaky weigh in this morning and I’m down 3 so that makes 7 in total - so happy!

Bootcamp Ordinaire - Week 2
prettybird · 06/06/2020 09:15

Blush - misremembered who it was rshard - thank you for re-posting. It took me ages scrolling through my photo roll to find it again Grin

Only changes I made was using banana shallots rather than onions and three wee birds eye chillis (although I should maybe have made more of an effort to get rid of the seeds but it was difficult because they'd just come out of the freezer Wink) rather than the 2 long red deseeded chillis.

Trying to resist picking at the leftovers just now as I'm still in my 16 hours' fast (which is only going to be less than 14 hours anyway as I picked at some last night at 11 Blush)

Freetodowhatiwant · 06/06/2020 09:31

I’m about to have a rare trip to Waitrose? Anything low carb and exciting there? I’m walking a long way for the exercise so only planning to get a few light bits.

prettybird · 06/06/2020 09:34

Vanilla powder? Butter with sea salt crystals?

Randomfatty · 06/06/2020 10:00

Hiya - it’s miserable here again! Just building myself up to do the weekly dusting, vac and tidying! I’m sure the house is more messy in lockdown!

Am starving this morning 😩 so don’t know what has happened - I thought I had passed that stage. And also have put a bit of weight back on as I had measured mid-week 😓😓 not sure why 🙁 feel and look a lot slimmer though!

L - scrambled eggs with griddled asparagus, smoked salmon and avocado salad
D - just preordered an Indian takeaway so will be having butter chicken, saag, okra, tandoori grill and some broccoli (that needs eating at home)🥦 - can’t wait!

Also need to make shopping list and meal plan for next week as I find it much easier to keep to if I do that. Also stops my DH buying extra snacks and treats!

Hope everyone has a good day and the weather is nicer than it is here!

littlebillie · 06/06/2020 10:12
