Welcome to week 9, did you think at the beginning that you would make it this far? We're in the last two weeks now so let's all re-commit to this way of eating for the final stretch. Add your weigh-in to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness and how about some inspiring tales to keep each other going?

Thanks @prettybird

@ShagMeRiggins you are right that nothing stays the same, that always helps Flowers

Lunch was yesterday’s leftovers, dinner tbc

NoOneCaresInRealLife · 11/03/2020 20:03

Hi all, I'm heading for a 1 stone weight loss. But the amount of people that have noticed my body shape change is crazy.
I do struggle with eating the veg and I don't think I will ever be best friends with cauliflower in any form.
Having a support group to just mooch through and get advice from has been great for hints and tips.
Thank you all - onwards and upwards, or should that be downwards (scales and measurements)? Grin

CaptainofmyownShip · 12/03/2020 06:55

Happy Thursday everyone!

Just weighed in. Have lost 1lb 9 since Tuesday's weigh in. So 10 lbs since I started but a bit over lowest my weight last week.

Made a weird concoction for lunch on the go today comprising 1.5 sliced Heck sausages, chopped hard boiled egg, 4 cherry tomatoes, raw cauliflower with olive oil and a splash of red wine vinegar..

Dinner will be a piece of homemade low carb goats cheese and spinach quiche with veg.

MrsBertBibby · 12/03/2020 08:46

Morning peeps!

Big drop overnight to 12s 3.5. That is lower than my lowest last year. We are into uncharted territory now, I don't know when I weighed this little, at least 8 years at a guess.

Further wardrobe experiments await.

CaptainofmyownShip · 12/03/2020 09:32

Congrats MrsB Grin Happy experimenting!

prettybird · 12/03/2020 12:39

In an NSV, this morning I tried on my Nicole Farhi evening dress (a very simple black velvet button through, ballerina length dress cut on the bias) which I last wore (after a successful Boot Camp Wink) 7 years ago Shock

I can do it up Shock although the buttons are under a lot of strain especially around the boob area and could possibly even go out in it although there are a few glimpses of flesh through the button holes Smile

Another half stone and then I need to sort out an occasion at which to wear it Grin

MrsBertBibby · 12/03/2020 12:46

Good work Prettybird!

I am being fooled in my hope for wardrobe snooping by our handyman who is working out the back. Dammit.

prettybird · 12/03/2020 12:56

This was taken 7 years ago when I last wore it (Rugby Club Ball). Dress itself is c26 years old: cost £299 at the time which was way beyond what I was planning on spending but a) my mum, who usually made my "fancy dresses", was away with my dad who was working a locum in either Malaysia or Australia at the time and b) I'd made the mistake on trying it on first (dh picked it out in Liberty but didn't look at the price tag nor at the time know what "Nicole Farhi" meant Grin). I wasn't even looking for a black dress! Confused Spent the rest of the day searching for a "coloured" dress that looked as good!

What a beautiful dress (and woman)

I've stuck at 17st 9. Which is my starting weight. But still no period Hmm and (TMI, I'm sorry) I'm extremely constipated.

BIWI · 12/03/2020 13:30

@HerRoyalCarbyLess

More fat
More water
More veg
More movement/exercise!

prettybird · 12/03/2020 13:40

I love the dress- hence the efforts to get back into it Grin In terms of "cost per wear", it has paid its due (and would've done so even more if I'd been able to wear it more Blush) Smile

The buttons stop literally just below the pubic bone, but it is so well cut that I never expose too much leg! Wink

PinkSubscriber · 12/03/2020 16:52

HerRoyalCarbyLess My period was a week late last month which is unheard of for me.

For the constipation I found the combo of a cafetière of black coffee and Greek yog with some linseed and chia seeds for breakfast everyday did the job😉

HerRoyalCarbyLess · 12/03/2020 20:30

Period is here. And it's the period from hell Hmm
Still not shifted any poo though. HmmConfused

venusandmars · 12/03/2020 21:22

herRoyal sometimes having a period correlates with being a bit constipated. But drink loads of water water, water... It will help. And 4 (or so) weeks on from now you might find that your periods are different...koko It really is worth it.

Food today:
B - avocado
L - Tesco Peking BBq pork rib rack ( 1.3g carb per 100g g) stir fried veg (shallot, leek, green bean, beansprouts, carrot)
D - spinach and chicken soup

Doilooklikeatourist · 12/03/2020 21:37

Thankfully I’m too old to have periods 👍
B Greek youghurt and the nice nutty muesli
L scrambled eggs and mushrooms
D salmon with times of Green veg
Glas of wine
Really struggling , but managed to resist the mars bar , will have a nice glass of water instead

HerRoyalCarbyLess · 13/03/2020 09:22

Morning

Breakfast: poached egg with bacon, spinach and asparagus.
Lunch: ham salad
Dinner: omelette (kids have asked for it) with cheese and flgv

CheddarGorgeous · 13/03/2020 10:08

B: boiled eggs
L: ham and mozzarella salad
D: cooked "breakfast" sausages, eggs, bacon, mushroom, tomatoes

Can you tell I've run out of inspiration in the kitchen? Grin

venusandmars · 13/03/2020 11:34

Brunch - left over mushroom stir fry with fried eggs
D - Thai green vegetable curry, cauli rice

moleeye · 13/03/2020 12:35

Weighed myself this morning and I'm 2lb down on Monday. Which means I'm 4lb away from pre baby weight

I'm beyond thrilled 💪🏼💪🏼

KOKO

MrsBertBibby · 13/03/2020 13:33

Morning peeps. Weight still below last year's low. Treble yay!

Nice frock Prettybird!

I am wearing a skirt unearthed from the wardrobe. It fits but it doesn't really suit my shape. I think I might charity shop it.

I shall be most WFH due to the virus, so lots of opportunities for wardrobe evaluation!

Keep at it Carbyless! It will shift.

Rayna37 · 13/03/2020 14:17

Slinks back in after a serious bout of the fuckits, to find you're all doing brilliantly! It turns out I hadn't actually put cheap cake behind me, I just hadn't had any put in front of me for a while!

Anyway, 125.6lbs this morning, so work to do. Steak, kale and celeriac chips and some red wine on the cards for later tonight and then a quiet weekend!

Coronavirus making our big trip to include DHs marathon look increasingly unlikely which is a bit rubbish, particularly the uncertainty! Still, a bit of time at home, and no work travel for the foreseeable, so that's all good!

ShagMeRiggins · 13/03/2020 16:59
colouringinpro · 13/03/2020 20:46

Evening all, and well done everyone! I've been doing my own boot camp for the last 2 weeks and so far have lost 8lb Grin.

But tonight I really need a drink, or two.

Could someone poss tell me what's the least worse?!

prettybird · 13/03/2020 20:51

If you really really need to have an alcoholic drink, drink some water first gin is good acceptable - have it with soda water if you can.

Or a dry white or red wine.

Problem with alcohol though is that it can potentially reduce your resistance to the fuckits carbs - so watch for that!

BIWI · 13/03/2020 21:25

Just remember that all the time you're drinking alcohol, even if it's the lowest carb option, your body will be using that for fuel and will not be burning any fat.
