Nice bit of Spanglish to start the new thread!

Unfortunately I can’t find a way to link to the spreadsheet so I would be very grateful if someone could do that for me.

I'm away at my DB and SIL's right so haven’t had a chance to catch up with the week 7 thread, but hope everyone has been doing well, KOKOing and therefore seeing good results on the scales, with their clothes and/or with the tape measure.

—And before @StuntNun dobs me in I will confess to having fallen into pizza and fish and chips this weekend—

I was out to dinner last night. Friend supposedly understands the Low Carb WoE, so he made leek & broccoli soup (with no added potato) for starter, followed by a roast gammon, served with roasted carrots and parsnips (Hmm). I was then able to skip the Eve's pudding and have a lovely selection of Scottish cheeses to finish.

I also managed to restrict my wine intake to 2 small glasses (and a few tastes of dh's glass), which given that there were about 6 (or more) bottles drunk (some were left overs from a wine tasting), I think was pretty impressive Grin I drank loads of water instead.

Tonight I have my dad coming over for a special meal before he goes off on his travels to SA again tomorrow (won't see him again for 2 months): having a joint of beef that has been semi-braised, semi-roasted in Madeira and red wine, then rolled in fresh chopped herbs, served with celeriac rösti, mange-tout and baby sweet corn (might do the men folk roast potatoes as well).

I've made low carb Tiramisu from my adaptation of Tom Kerridge's Dopamine diet recipe book (used grated courgette rather than grated apple and added cinnamon) for dessert.

Just KoKo-ing!

Yesterday Brunch - smashed avocado, oven roast tomato, mushrooms, poached egg, crispy pancetta
Honestly didn't feel hungry until about 6pm
D - chicken with leeks, garlic, cream, parmesan, spinach. Served with celeriac mash and one roast carrot

Today:
Brunch - fried egg, fried mushroom
D - home made thai green curry (with lots of green veg) and cauliflower rice

This is since the start of May bootcamp. I'm officially over 30lbs down and only 3.5lbs from target. I'd stalled this bootcamp probably as I was so close to target but have had a huge whoosh this week!

That is amazing taming toddler!

I was struggling to keep on plan yesterday but managed to KOKO. Today has been easier and I just bought some ribeye steaks to have for dinner. I find that keeps me motivated, streak with tarragon butter and lost if green vegetables Smile

venusandmars · 08/12/2019 20:23

@tamingtoddler wow, that's impressive. And I think that one of the encouraging things about it is that it is not exactly linear. There are days / weeks / moments for all of us when the scales go the wrong way, and it can feel dispiriting and tempting to throw the towel in. But I'd urge anyone who feels like that to look at taming's graph (or even better your own one) and remember the overall direction of travel.

Great graph! So satisfying to see it go down :)

I’ve reached one of my goals and I’m jumping with joy. I got a healthy BMI today! I’ve been clothes shopping as a reward! They will have to be my Xmas present!

So I’m a pound down today. I’ve eaten well so far for today, sashimi for lunch, banana for breakfast. I’ll have veggies for dinner and bolognaise sauce with cheese as well.

Had a good weekend eating all low carb. Went to Toby carvery for lunch and refused the Yorkshire pudding. Logged all the veg into MyFitnessPal before I ate them and had to give away the parsnip and small roast potato I had taken and left most of the leek bake and cranberry sauce. Cabbage and cauliflower were my majority veg. For tea I made a ham and egg salad with Hellman's rather than the pickle I would usually have. Shouldn't have had a whole beetroot, but the rest were good choices. Tried hard to drink more water and had cream in my coffee rather than milk. Did have cocoa at bedtime in an attempt to sleep well but the cat still woke me up...
