Nice bit of Spanglish to start the new thread!

Unfortunately I can’t find a way to link to the spreadsheet so I would be very grateful if someone could do that for me.

I'm away at my DB and SIL's right so haven’t had a chance to catch up with the week 7 thread, but hope everyone has been doing well, KOKOing and therefore seeing good results on the scales, with their clothes and/or with the tape measure.

—And before @StuntNun dobs me in I will confess to having fallen into pizza and fish and chips this weekend—

@LittleSwede this might be helpful

Are you taking any supplements? A good multi-vitamin/mineral might be useful, as well as something with B vitamins and zinc. Berocca could be a good one to try?

Thank you BIWI I just read the information on the link. I suspect stress is the main source but maybe hormones too. Interesting reading.

I've been a bit slack with taking my supplements so will make sure I take my vitamin B complex every day along with my magnesium. I found a bottle of Metatone (tonic for when run down) in the cupboard last week so have been taking that.

BIWI · 02/12/2019 17:49

Seems like zinc is an important thing to take as well if you're suffering from ulcers

OP posts:
LittleSwede · 02/12/2019 17:55

Ok thanks BIWI Goes off too search cupboards for zinc...

ShagMeRiggins · 02/12/2019 18:25

Berrocca? Will someone please explain to me what it’s all about?

My husband swears by it Hmm but has never explained further. Happy to learn...

BIWI · 02/12/2019 19:15

Vitamin B complex, but with other key vitamins and minerals

here

It has a reputation as a hangover remedy, but not sure where that comes from. It's also linked with energy/energising

LittleSwede · 02/12/2019 19:16

I think Berocca is a blend of B vitamins and maybe some minerals.eantbto give you an energy boost. Wilko do their own version for a third of the price and DH used to stock up on these during the winter months. He too swears by it! Doesn't taste quite as nice as the original though.

LittleSwede · 02/12/2019 19:17

Cross post with BIWI Smile

LittleSwede · 02/12/2019 19:19

Fir some reason DH hasn't stocked up on these this winter or I would have had one now!

BlueLilyLilyBlue · 02/12/2019 20:20

Wow @ShagMeRiggins you look amazing!

Lost 1 pound this week which is better than nothing, plus I lost a chunk last week.

L - 3x sausages and salad
D - cabbage, cauliflower and pork loin
S - 2 squares 90% lindt choc

TamingToddler · 02/12/2019 20:20

I think I lost around half a pound but have been gaining and losing the same lb since about week 4. Not too far off where I want to be so not too bothered. Got a food shop coming tomorrow, Waitrose have £20 off when you spend £80 if anyone is interested (wouldn't normally shop there) but their basics are really good.

Nonononon · 02/12/2019 20:21

Felt pretty unwell today, all self inflicted so I'll take it on the chin(s) and learn from it.

L: some left over chilli and salt spare ribs, salad, cheese, half an avocado and a peppered mackerel fillet.
D: sprouts in a bacon and cheese sauce.
2 squares of dark chocolate (😬)
X2 cream coffees

DownUdderer · 03/12/2019 02:35

I’m a pound down from last week.

I’m happy with a pound a week.

secondchapter · 03/12/2019 08:34

Thanks BIWI I've read the rules properly now, it is very similar to wheat belly (which I have been doing) apart from no artificial sweeteners or fruit. Wheat belly allows up to 15g carbs in 6 hours and a very small amount of berries too. It also relies on unprocessed food. I slipped up yesterday as I rushed to a hospital appointment eating fat bombs instead of lunch, and then thought a small portion of baked beans wouldn't hurt with kippers at tea time, but added to the carbs in cauliflower and onions they pushed me over that limit. I've put a lb back on this morning but I also think that is pmt. Going to eat smoked salmon and poached eggs for breakfast and drink plenty of water today. Smile

venusandmars · 03/12/2019 10:48

@ShagMeRiggins thank you for posting your photos. I guess we all have 'hated' photos. We have a whole series of pictures from an amazing holiday (South Africa, Cape Town, Garden Route, safari @BIWI) but I've been avoiding all of them. I was +3 stone from where I am now (on a short body and a small slender frame, so I didn't carry it well). And in lots of photos I'm tucking into huge portions of pudding Blush

Well last night we got the pics up on the screen and reminisced. I was able to engage with the warmth and delight of the holiday, re-live the amazing smells of the Bo Cap cooking course... And to recognise that I have come a long way since then. Instead of feeling ashamed, I felt a wee bit of pride. All inspired by ShagMe's acceptance Smile

B - scrambled egg, smoked salmon. buttery mushrooms
L - avocado salad
D - sausage and whatever green veg are in todays veg box

ShagMeRiggins · 03/12/2019 12:08

All inspired by ShagMe's acceptance

Ooh, fuck, I have something in my eye...

venusandmars I agree with you and while I hate the photo, I don’t hate the memory that goes with it.

I MUST have some water. I have been woeful since the weekend, aargh!!!

KOKO all.

stayathomegardener · 03/12/2019 12:32

@ShagMeRiggins re 'staged or not' I completely understood and only meant to imply that it was irrelevant in such an achievement in a Phhhhh! way.

Sorry if it didn't come across, I'm dyslexic and can be a little strange in my wording.

stayathomegardener · 03/12/2019 12:37

@LittleSwede try cutting out toothpaste. Sounds silly but I once started with an allergy to it. Was fine before and ok now if I stick to a low foaming brand as I think it was the Sodium Lauryl Sulphate element.

But goodness the mouth ulcers, so painful.

ShagMeRiggins · 03/12/2019 16:38

Sorry if it didn't come across

It did come across but then I worried that I didn’t come across right so had to clarify. Falling all over ourselves with worry stayathomegardener—let’s say it’s good exercise and call it a day. Wink

IWillWearTheGreenWillow · 03/12/2019 16:55

ShagMe you've done so amazingly well!

I am now routinely below 13 stone, even if only by a tiny bit, and that feels great!

@stayathomegardener, you asked about the keto cinnamon rolls recipe that I tried - click here . They reheated well too - I'd make the night before if I was doing it again as they're reasonably quick, but everyone else was finished by the time they were ready!

In the interests of balance, I'm also going to try these .

LittleSwede · 03/12/2019 16:56

I just checked our toothpaste gardener and I don't think it has sodium lauryl sulphate in it, it's a Sensodyne one. I will avoid it anyway for a couple of days!

Nonononon · 03/12/2019 17:13

Food today
L: 3x egg omelette with cheese and a tin of tuna with mayo. 2 squares of dark chocolate.
D: slices of roast pork and FLGV tossed in garlic butter.

KondoKonvert · 03/12/2019 21:07

Pretty good day today. Still fluctuating up and down by about 2lb. Trying not to focus too much on it though.

B: cream coffee

L: leftover roast turkey with mayo and homemade veg soup with lots of butter in it.

D: homemade burger bowl with peri peri mayo, a big salad with olive oil

absopugginglutely · 03/12/2019 21:20

Good day water wise,
I had a litre before leaving the house and then bought a 1.5 L bottle while I was out and about and managed to drink it all before I got home then half a litre with tea and I was done! It makes such a difference to my energy levels and well-being but it is always hard work!

B:Cream coffee
L: 8 slices of salami with cucumber and cream cheese.
D: lamb chops and creamed spinach with cauliflower

S: a couple of tea spoons of almond nut butter

At a work course earlier they didn't have cream so I did have milk in my 1 coffee and tea. eek!

Iris1 · 03/12/2019 21:22

Absolutely full of a cold and lost my appetite. I forced down half an omelette at about 1pm made with cream, mushrooms, broccolli, leeks, spinach and cheddar.

Later forced down a spoon of cream. Didn't even enjoy it just wanted some calories/fat.

Loads of water, herbal tea and Lemsip! What can you do!
