Morning all

Hopefully there will be some losses to record on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness but please don't be disheartened if you didn't lose (or even see a small gain.

Weeks 3 & 4 are notorious for this. Your body is getting used to the new regime, but if you stick to it, then you should see things get moving again from next week.

If you are struggling, make sure that you are following Bootcamp rules to the letter; consider whether or not dairy is an issue for you - and if you've moved to Bootcamp Light then perhaps consider going back to Bootcamp for another week or so?

Whatever the case, don't develop a case of the fuckits and jump head first into the biscuits. That's the only way to guarantee that you will gain weight!

Just checking in. Going back on the BC this week instead of light. Good luck everyone

m0therofdragons · 04/06/2019 08:00

Scales aren't budging so I'm very frustrated. Once you get 1/2 stone from target weight do I need to do anything different? I have my period so it could be that but I've stuck to the plan all week and gone up 1lb, gah!

starsky22 · 04/06/2019 08:38

I've lost 3lbs overnight so my 4lb gain is down to a 1lb gain, I'll take that as wasn't strict last week. Going to record todays weight in the spreadsheet, as yesterdays was clearly an anomaly. Started my period today, so think it was down to that and water retention. Good reminder that the scales do jump around sometimes and if you keep going they will sort themselves out! Drank tons of water yesterday so need to keep up with that.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 04/06/2019 09:04

Wotcha, @TheWayOfTheWorld! Wonder if we know each other IRL? Shock

Notwatchingtvtoday · 04/06/2019 09:04

Welcome back mrskoala and grimbles and congratulations on the new baby. Sorry your not well RightyesbutNo

Ive lost another 1/4lb today which is great, working really hard on getting in enough water, now taking a bottle to bed so I can have a sip in the night 😀

Today’s plan is
1 cup of tea with milk
B total Greek yogurt with 1/2 teaspoon of Marsacapone, one frozen raspberry crumbed into it and 1 teaspoon of Linwoods fax mix
2 coffees with butter (that’s my canine for the day )
L Frittata and homemade coleslaw
D Roast chicken, celaric mash and green veg with butter
Herbal and fruit teas plus 2.5 Litres of water

Notwatchingtvtoday · 04/06/2019 09:05

Caffeine not canine ( will not be eating darling dog 😀)

TheWayOfTheWorld · 04/06/2019 09:11

@GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal oh gawd I hope not - I've put half naked clothes too tight photographs up on here Confused

BIWI · 04/06/2019 10:34

I've got another client lunch today, but harder to swerve the carbs but I think I can manage it:

Starter: crab mayo salad (or french onion soup if I don't eat the crouton)
Main: beef daube with some green beans or cod with lettuce, peas and bacon

I am more concerned about the "presser pour champagne" button ShockGrinWink

MrsKoala · 04/06/2019 10:40

Thanks for the welcome back. I never name change. Mainly because i’m too disorganised to remember more than one name (Mrs Koala is my name in rl too Wink )and partly because I like to own my posts warts and all. Fuck knows what shite i’d be spouting if I had the anonymity of name changes. I’d probably end up arguing with myself without even realising Grin

Been on hols and had some planned deviations but am pleased with only a 2lb gain. So now i’m 12st 2lb. I’d like to be 11st 7lb but will be happy with 11st 10lb. Can I be added to the spreadsheet please so I can always be 3lb behind MrsTP 😉

Been busy with the usual bollocks and FIL shit, so have been getting lax and need some motivation to get back on track. Also (not sure if anyone remembers my tmi posts re my periods) i’m now anaemic. I have pills buhave been also looking at diet to boost my iron. Leafy greens – which I eat daily are the best but Dr Google also prescribes lots of vit c to help absorb the iron. Should I be eating oranges too or does anyone have any high in vit c and BC food suggestions?

Anyway, nice to be back with all you losers.

BIWI · 04/06/2019 10:41

@NigellaAwesome - why not post the menu here and let's see if we can help put together some meals/foods that you will enjoy?

@MrsKoala - another one confused by the apparent name change! What other furry marsupials might there be?

@starsky22 - that gain will be the re-filling of your glycogen stores, more than water retention. Keep your days as low carb as you can, and do (more) exercise to use the glucose up.

@m0therofdragons - weight loss will be slow as you get near your target, but I know how frustrating it can be! The best thing to do is to look at your portion sizes - this is (unfortunately) the point at which calories do matter, so it might be worth working out how many calories you're eating on a typical day, and seeing where you can cut these down.

Thanks BIWI. I was so surprised when they told me. I virtually exist on peppers, kale, broccoli and cauli. God knows how anaemic i’d be if I was still surviving on 6 cheese sandwiches a day!

BIWI · 04/06/2019 11:11

Well yes! But the key thing is that certain foods and drinks can impede iron absorption.

HA finally got 5 mins to post my pic. So I think there is a difference (and not that I've hung the mirror up after 5 years you cheeky lot) still awful but slightly better (going in the right direction anyhoo)

B - bacon and sausage
l - smoked chicken sausage and salad
D - gammon and something....

PS left pic is today - right pic 2 weeks ago.

Week 4 - May Low Carb Bootcamp - time to KOKO!
TheWaiting · 04/06/2019 11:28

Good luck to everyone but I’m going to bow out today. As I posted yesterday, I’m struggling to find enough time to shop and make enough variety of low carb stuff. It’s tricky enough not eating red meat and eggs but when you factor in getting in at 6pm with 4 young children, it’s a struggle (for me anyway) Maybe from end of September, when DH isn’t away all wk and I’ve moved down to teaching p/t, I can try again. Congratulations on pregnancies/babies and weight loss. I’m sure it seems like I’m making excuses but I’m literally on my knees most nights after feeding/hw/bath/bed. Thanks for all the support. Good luck! X

SittingontheSidelines · 04/06/2019 11:28

Huge difference @Youwanapizzame. It was very obvious without you having to point out which was the after picture. Brilliant mirror hangingSmile

Ninkaninus · 04/06/2019 11:29

Yes there is definitely a difference! You will see it most dramatically on the arms to begin with and then around the abdomen. Well done and KOKO!

Ninkaninus · 04/06/2019 11:30

And I could definitely tell which was the before pic - your tummy is already shrinking.

Youwanapizzame · 04/06/2019 11:31

Yes my body is like the Brexit debate.... Top half is the BREXIT bus and the bottom half is FIRMLY in the remain camp :D

funny how you just cant really see it on yourself though...

blackteaplease · 04/06/2019 11:43

The other marsupial was a wombat I believe.

Sorry to hear you are unwell @rightyesbutno.

Nameusernameuser · 04/06/2019 11:59

@Youwanapizzame I can see a HUGE difference! That's amazing that it's only a couple of weeks. Well done!

I'm keeping an eye on my calories for now, love hate relationship with my fitness Pal, it tells me kale and swede is high carb and really throws me off so ignoring that and just going by the fact they're in the green on the spreadsheet. My weight still isn't shifting, despite the change in battery on my scales I'm the bloody same. Onwards and downwards though, can't wait to get past week 4! Grin

18pagesfrontandback · 04/06/2019 12:18

Thank you to TWOTW Athelstane for bum shaping advice, will have a look then the challenge will be moving my lazy arse!
venus haha! I can so relate to cameltoe bum. Grin
I saw a video clip of myself from the rear from our weekend away. It’s such a sorry excuse of a cameltoe backside.

Iamnotacerealkiller congratulations Flowers lovely news.

Weighed in late due to travelling yesterday. Am 165lb so nearly 2lb up from last week. Looks like I’m playing the 2lb bouncing game again Hmm

Admittedly I did have some Prosecco on Sat, and being away meant out of usual routine, so maybe it’s that. I have also been feeling very squishy and pre-menstrual around the tum, which is a bit early for me but am now in the week before period so expect that will only get worse. I’m telling myself the squishiness is my next whoosh building Smile

starsky22 · 04/06/2019 12:20

Thanks biwi that makes sense, better get off my arse and do some exercise!

*iwannapizza you can definitely see a difference, that's amazing in just a couple of weeks!

thewaiting I know how you feel, i tried doing the Jan bootcamp, but just had too much going on with work and family stuff, i didn't have the headspace for it. Ended up putting on more weight though by eating everything in sight, which i now really regret, so try not to make that mistake! Also, don't feel you have to disappear though, you can still hang out here even if not following it 100% and any changes you can make even if small will help going forward.

Ninkaninus · 04/06/2019 12:21

18pages I just realised what your username refers to.
