Morning Campers Flowers

As ever, here's the spreadsheet for all your confessions

Some interesting conversations last week, as well as some encouraging losses and NSVs. Glosses over all talk of poppadoms

I'm so pleased it's working so well for so many of you, but more particularly how well this WOE seems to be working in its broader, longer term sense. That's actually the critical thing for the future - finding a way to incorporate the low carb principles into how you eat for the rest of your life, while still having a life!

A difficult couple of days for me, as I'm off to Paris with work, so my meals are largely out of my control. Dinner at the hotel should be OK, but I have no idea what will happen at lunch time, as I'm stuck in a research facility, being catered for. And worse, Eurostar is on strike tomorrow, when I'm supposed to be coming home, so I have no idea if I'm in Paris for two or three days!!!!

Anyway, there are worse places to be stuck, I suppose Smile

Here's to a good week for us all - hope it's not too cold and windy wherever you are.

@siameasy A poppadum is 3.2g carb. But that is a single poppadum. Could you really eat just one? The only way for me would be to get dh to eat all the other poppadums and to leave just one for me. I would be chewing my knuckles while he got through the rest... Sometimes easier just to avoid.

Some really great loses today! Good luck with the trips to Paris, Germany and London for those that are travelling this week.

I'm going to hold off weighing myself as I've been really bloated and feeling like I've undone some of my hard work from just overeating and snacking on too many nuts and cheese. Maybe I need to try a bullet coffee to keep myself satiated.

I discovered celeriac chips on Saturday - bloody amazing! I ate the whole lot Blush and then suffered for the gluttony with some serious gas!!!

An unexpected small loss again this week, as was away for hubbys birthday and I indulged a little, but generally tried to stay on plan.
But there's definitely wine creep happening, so intending to knock that on the head now and try and finish this boot camp with a flourish by ending as it started with two weeks strict boot camp if I can.

New NSV! Went for my depo injection at the nurse just now, and the little BMI stick figure on her screen changed from ‘green with sad face’ (December’s visit) to ‘green with happy face’. Result!

Well done to everyone who has lost this week. I am down 2lbs which I am happy about.

How many weeks are there usually until the next BC starts? I plan to keep going, but it is also very useful be a part of this group.

Hello everyone. Just caught up on the last thread and read thru the losses on this one. Well done all, especially Slinky and Toots.

I am weighing at 11st.13lb which is 1lb off but i'm so pleased with considering my horrible totm and on Saturday I stayed at my parents with the dc (dh has been away again) and mum did a dinner which was apparently 'perfect' for my diet. One bite of what tasted like 'treacle chicken' told me it very much wasn't. Afterwards I asked to look at the recipe and it had brown sugar and balsamic vinegar in. Confused

Anyway, i'm still in the 11s Wooo. I have ordered a size 12 pair of wide legged trousers. from Hobbs. So a bit forgiving in style and Hobbs are rather generous anyway, but if they fit i'll be chuffed. I ordered a nice skirt from H&M in a 14 and that fits nicely, not too snug.

I've realised I hate most of my wardrobe so have been excitedly splashing out - mainly on the Debenhams sale Blush . I need to think about swimwear and a sarong/coverup/poolside thing that doesn't make me look like a man dragged up as Margo Leadbetter (which is sadly a look I achieve surprisingly often Shock )

Lateblooming, that sounds brilliant. I'd love to pee on a stick and then wait for a smiley face. It would be good to have that excitement all of the time at home. Perhaps someone could combine the concept of the stick thing with those fish you put on your palm which tells you what mood you are in. Then everyday you could wait with excitement for a little emoji determined by your pee. Grin

Right i'm off to dragons den...

Wow tooltastic what an amazing achievement, you must be feeling so good. 4 stone!

Congrats to everyone else too with their losses and nsv.

cerealkiller siameasy here are my weekend menus. Lowish carb, not very high fat approx 800 cals. I allow 200 ml skimmed milk for tea.

Saturday
Lunch - 2 egg mushroom and spinach omlette cooked in butter. 3 chicken sausages.
Dinner - bolognaise with courgetti, small amount of parmesan cheese

29g carb, 36g fat, 85g protein

Sunday
Lunch - 2 soft boiled eggs. 2 rashers crispy streaky bacon for dipping
Dinner - prawns, crab, another egg, lettuce, cucumber, mayo/ketchup
Chicken and veg soup with extra chard and wafer thin ham.

Not something I could do for long admittedly but doable for a week.

No I don’t really have a sweet tooth either venus, that sticky pudding doesn’t appeal. I have started to see sugar as poison. I kind of think if I ate such a thing I might almost feel drunk and hungover.
For me it’s the starchy carbs especially things for dipping hence the poppadum. I used to only have two with my meal but I dunno..jury’s out. Got a month to decide.

Defo agree about cheese Shag. I like cheddar too much. On a similar note, cream was stopped ages ago here too as it’s too addictive

Well done losers! And well done KOKO-ers too. Another 1.2lb down brings me to over 19lbs lost in total, and people are starting to notice this week (which as PP have said, is a bit weird...)
I'm also focusing on reducing wine creep this week. No alcohol Monday to Thursday and limited amounts at the weekend.
L - ham and salad
D - leftover Chicken Cauli Alfredo

Well done losers! Grin

Half a pound down for me, which is great considering I was away for work last week and at the mercy of catering (wraps and sandwiches). Wine on the weekend did not help.

I'm visiting family at the end of this week for two weeks so we will see how I do. My mum firmly believes in low calorie/low fat. I will try to cook as much as possible!

What's the opposite of an NSV? Just tried on my vintage Chanel tweed pencil skirt, which I haven't worn for a good few years. Ladies, the ravages of time are brutal! Fits on the waist, but I no longer fill it out on the hips and from the rear my arse is flat as a pancake. Hey ho! Time to let it go to a perter body.

siameasy my cheese lurve goes to infinity and beyond. Cheddar (extra mature only—is there any other kind?) is but a small cog in the wheel.

Camembert. The occasional Wensleydale. A Spanish Cremoso that is beyond. Epoisses. Bleu. Gorgonzola Cremificato. Mustn’t forget Primula or Velveeta (w/Rotel) for comfort and childhood comfort memories. Jarlsberg, for cheese toasties (because Devil Wears Pravda). Emmenthal. Oh, Gruyére!

My beloved cheeses.

I have Tesco Finest Red Leicester Bite, Chaourse, Manchego, Goat's cheese, St Agur blue cheese in the fridge and the freezer (stock piing cheese for Brexit) but I have to admit to some Dairylee triangles, and to adding them to coleslaw!

Hi everyone,

Things didn’t go well with trying to come off the anti depressants - I am very much better on them so sticking with them for now.

Apologies I haven’t been keeping track of weight etc, I’m koko and stable but it’s getting me down. I will keep eating this way but I’m bowing out of the thread and hoping my moods lift again soon.

Well done for all the hard work Flowers

Thanks @Siameasy. So annoying when you miss a clothes fitting window, isn't it? I have so many that are either too big....some of them that were too small only a couple of months ago and I've missed the tiny window when they must have fitted.

Right back atcha @ShagMeRiggins and well done on the loss!

Thanks @venusandmars. Yes little achievements like getting into the next stone bracket or BMI category really keep me going. Well done on doing just that @latebloomingleo!

@MrsKoala Thanks and congrats getting into the 11s. Chuckling at your Margot Leadbetter lookalike fear.

Thanks @SlinkyDinkyDoo, it's not quite 4st, but only another 3.9lbs to get there. Huge respect for you sticking to 800 cals for a week, you're a warrior.

@nowlook You can't get rid of the vintage Chanel, you have to take @ShagMeRiggins' advice and find a seamstress!

Congrats to all the other losers! KOKO everyone.

Garlic and lemon baked chicken thighs for tonight's dinner with broccoli and mayo.
