Morning all!

Hopefully last week's wobble with the spreadsheet has been overcome:

Here it is

And hope there aren't too many wobbles on the LCHF front either!

It's an absolutely gorgeous day here, and seems like all of this week is going to be glorious. (Well, Darn Sarf it is anyway!)

I hope that you all have a good day food-wise too. Somehow it always seems easier when it's salad/barbecue weather, to stay on the low carb track.

Good look and here's to another successful week Flowers

I went out, too, to a Lebanese restaurant. It's byob so I brought gin and Slimline, had lamb chops and salad and mint tea. Except my table mates ordered pitta and hummus to share so I had a little bit of that too. Other than that, this woe is so much better to accommodate going out to eat. Love it.

Ok I think weekends are going to be hard. It's hot and the dc are having ice cream. I really really love ice cream. This is the first time all week I've had to really stop myself. Are there any ice cream alternatives? What about frozen yoghurt?

qumquat · 30/06/2018 12:38

I've seen people recommend Oppo ice-cream Mother but I haven't tried it myself. My treat is strawberries or blueberries with double cream. Although I think all of those are only allowed on bootcamp light. A big glass of iced water often does the trick on a hot day for me.

Itchyknees · 30/06/2018 12:43

Word is that if you add sugar free maple syrup (amazon) to yogurt and then freeze it, it’s a lot like ice cream, if you haven’t eaten ice cream in years and have totally forgotten what it tastes like.

prettybird · 30/06/2018 12:43

In the interest of full disclosure, I will admit to having had some ice cream last night (with berries from the garden) Blush. In my defence, it was his birthday and I could have made my grandmother's icecream (which involves a tin of condensed milk Shock) but instead just had the Lidl own (Aberdoyle which we think is Mackies ) brand which is very nice.

I also had one just one Cantucci biscotti from Lidl this morning, whilst enjoying coffee and Cava, given its dh's birthday weekend on the patio. Blush

This means I can't complain if I don't see a drop on the scales for the Monday weigh-in - although at the moment I'm holding steady at a 3/4lb loss Smile

Itchyknees · 30/06/2018 12:43

Gammal the dress is a beautiful fit.

prettybird · 30/06/2018 12:45

m0ther - I believe that Yopa do good low carb ice cream alternatives. Smile

m0therofdragons · 30/06/2018 13:10

Weigh in is Monday but I can't help but weigh every day. For 3 days I've been 11stone (was 11st 5lbs last weekend) so I'm happy with that. It's definitely helping me not go for ice cream as I am hoping that by next weekend I'll be under 11 which will be the first time in more than a year. Today's menu:

Breakfast: Prosciutto and Swiss cheese plus coffee
Lunch: omelette and raw spinach
Dinner: lamb curry with cauliflower rice (made by dd1 who is 10 and fab - it's already in the slow cooker)
Full fat Greek yoghurt for pudding

I could have Brie with lunch but is that too much cheese? Breakfast was only 2 thin slices.

Happy sunny weekend all! Thank you all for the encouraging words when I was having a moan earlier in the week. I’ve KOKO’d and seem to be a pound or so down now so happy it’s moving!

Sort of NSV today! I never ever buy myself clothes because I hate how I look in everything, but I bought a couple of tshirts in Superdry a size smaller than the last ones I bought (and we all know how teeny their sizes are so i’m pleased!). Then I decided I wanted black jeans to wear with them so went to M&S. Tried some on and they fitted so was pleased. Went out to ask DS if he thought they looked ok and he said yeah in his teenage way. A man sitting next to him piped up, ‘don’t lie!’, laughing and clearly trying to make a totally crap joke. DS told me later he’d been making him feel uncomfortable by saying things. He wouldn’t say what at first but then admitted he’d said, ‘Have you ever told your mum she has a big butt?!’ WTF?! ShockConfused The CF!!! Managing to rise above it and shrug it off but how dare people do that? Grrr...!

prettybird · 30/06/2018 14:00

On hot days, iced water (sparking if you orefer) with slices of cucumber is wonderfully refreshing Smile

If you're on to Boot Camp Lite, you can have slices of strawberries or some raspberries in the water. If you're still on full Boot Camp, you can still use them to flavour the water - you just can't give in to temptation and eat them Wink

prettybird · 30/06/2018 14:07

Good on your ds Divette for telling you about what the CF was saying and the fact that it made him feel uncomfortable. Maybe he'll now have an enhanced understanding about how "judged" women are Hmm

And brilliant NSV that you were able to get smaller t-shirts and felt good about getting new jeans. Smile

prettybird · 30/06/2018 14:09

For Yopa read Oppo in my earlier post Blush

TimeIhadaNameChange · 30/06/2018 14:27

prettybird - apparently Aberdoyle is made by Graham's see here. There doesn't seem to be a connection to Mackies.

My stomach is still playing silly beggars, somehow. It can't have anything in it so I don't know what it's up to. I did have some salt last night but it just tasted of salt, neither particularly nice nor horrid. I have been drinking electrolyte tabs, though, so I can't be that deficient in salt.

Have just managed to down 2 babybels and a Pepperami. Yay! Considering that was the first thing since yesterday afternoon I'm impressed with myself. Really wasn't feeling hungry. Need to go down to the post office so that will mean at least 8 miles cycled today. If an ice-cream falls into my hand down at the pier I won't be too upset. I suspect I'll need the energy!

ajandjjmum · 30/06/2018 15:01

I've had a week where I've not been really strict, including alcohol on several occasions (all justified! Grin). My weight has fluctuated by 1 or 2 lbs., but this morning it's at my lowest throughout. Really happy with the choices I've made, and still very motivated to KOKO without it being a drag.

prettybird · 30/06/2018 15:11

That would figure Time - Graham's also make good icecream Smile

but not as good as my Grandmother's icecream with its tin of condensed milk, carton of double cream and egg Wink and a gazillion calories Shock

TimeIhadaNameChange · 30/06/2018 18:05

Could you send me the recipe, please, pretty? We have guests coming next week and I'm sure they'd appreciate it.

Oh, and the conversation about Glasgows shops reminded me: about ten+ years ago I was taken to an Italian deli somewhere near the West End (I think). It also served food which you could eat in, or take away. I'm talking proper fresh lasagne in plastic pots. Is it still there? I never spend long enough in that area to really investigate, but would drag DP there if it is.

Nan0second · 30/06/2018 19:51

Fathead pizza tonight (headbangers kitchen recipe). So so delicious and recommended as a treat :)
Cooked in the new pizza oven outside so extra special!

Justmuddlingalong · 30/06/2018 20:34

Been at a party this afternoon. Stuck to gin and diet lemonade. Had 2 slices of cold meat, 1 chunk of chicken and a sliver of quiche. Feeling quite smug if slightly squiffy. Came home and have prepared dinner, which is in the oven now. Pleased that we bypassed the Chinese takeaway on the way home.

clare8allthepies · 30/06/2018 20:50

We had fathead pizza tonight as well! I ate far more than I needed to, lots of illegal sweetcorn and I’m now on the wine. I'm still proud of myself though as I resisted ice cream at the fair today and after a shitty couple of days with my anxiety through the roof I was about a millimetre away from saying fuck it and ordering a takeaway but I didn’t.

m0therofdragons · 30/06/2018 22:40

Has anyone tried cream cheese pancakes?

DramaAlpaca · 30/06/2018 22:50

Well, so much for the electrolyte tablets. I appear to have put on 2lbs overnight Confused Grin

qumquat · 30/06/2018 23:10

Well I completely fell off the wagon at a barbeque today. Felt a bit socially awkward so plugged the gap with cake. Didn't enjoy it at all just old school anxiety eating. No too hot to sleep, feeling sick and generally beating myself up - which I deal with by eating more... Roll on tomorrow and a new day!

StuntNun · 01/07/2018 07:30

Mother I use this recipe for cream cheese pancakess* but omit the sweetener and spread butter on them when they're cooked. They're not that much like pancakes, more like a thin omelette, but they are nice.
