Morning all!

Hopefully last week's wobble with the spreadsheet has been overcome:

Here it is

And hope there aren't too many wobbles on the LCHF front either!

It's an absolutely gorgeous day here, and seems like all of this week is going to be glorious. (Well, Darn Sarf it is anyway!)

I hope that you all have a good day food-wise too. Somehow it always seems easier when it's salad/barbecue weather, to stay on the low carb track.

Good look and here's to another successful week Flowers

Too much wine for me over the weekend, and I feel a bit groggy this morning. I really should know better.

However, 2lb off this week so I can't complain. I'm now within touching distance of half a stone since starting Bootcamp.

Itchyknees · 25/06/2018 11:03

Thanks BIWI for the thread, morning all!

1/4 down. My bread was ok but then all the air fell out and it’s very very wobbly, like a flan sort of.

m0therofdragons · 25/06/2018 11:13

Thank you @BIWI

I've brought lunch with me today so am hoping I can stay on plan! I've got spare boiled eggs and meat in the fridge at home to pick at later but I'm hoping lunch will fill me up so I won't need to. I only had 696 calories yesterday but felt like I ate loads and definitely wasn't hungry. Will have more today though Smile

Thanks for the new thread x

Just back from my smear. Jumped on the scales immediately I got in the surgery, as a year ago a new doctor there insisted on going back to basics, and was quite smug typing in "overweight" as he inputted my weight, so I thought that at least I could delete this and have something positive come out of my ordeal. The doctor today couldn't find where he'd put this in (it wasn't in the proper weight section, at least) and the last weight she could find for me was from 10 years ago. I'm 1kg lighter. Oh well, that's something, I suppose (shame I couldn't get the respect for losing 2.5 stone this past year, though!).

Seafour · 25/06/2018 12:46

Place marking before I rtft, thanks to all offering sympathy and kind words, I don't feel bravery or inspiring this morning, I'm a bit of a snotty mess.
I have an upset stomach from the industrial strength antibiotics, don't want to go into details but part of my colon is affected by my paralysis so my poorly tummy cannot evacuate without the use of an irrigation system, enough said.

I'm home until this evening, seeing dermatologist at 6:00pm then back to hospital.

I've lost 1/2lb but considering that I was +5lbs yesterday I'm happyish with the weight loss, tbh it all feels a bit futile and I can't get beyond being the wheelchair woman with the fucked up face if I need surgery.

Just to add, I don't want my problems and health issues to stop other people posting about theirs, that would be awful. As I said in a pp if all of us with health issues where to be given the opportunity to put them in the middle of the room we would end up claiming our own back instead of somebody else's. Yes it's shit but it's my shit and I will own it.

sheldonesque · 25/06/2018 13:01

Thank you biwi

KOKOing did the trick and I'm down another two pounds.

Still deeply stressed, still struggling with sleep but I don't have the problems some have with their health so I shall shut my mouth. I have a chronically ill sibling and I wish that I could share the load. To watch them struggling is hard enough - I can't imagine walking in their shoes.

To those who 'own their shit', you have my deepest respect Flowers x

bibliomania · 25/06/2018 13:26

Bloody hell, Seafour, absolute respect from me.

To turn the trivial, I was going to eat an avocado for my lunch, but it is rock hard, so will have to skip lunch. Can shrug at it though - found myself skipping a few days last week as I couldn't be bothered. The woe first seemed like a cage, but now seems like freedom.

Gammeldragz · 25/06/2018 13:49

I'm still in my roll of kokoing well, I seem to go through phases where I find it super easy and don't cheat and then hit a fuck it phase and fall off repeatedly.
Not had any alcohol for 4 weeks, DS1 won a bottle of wine and a cake at bingo yesterday (I won kitchen utensils, DS2 car shampoo and DD solar lights!) so wine is mine and in the cupboard should I feel I really want it. I'm not a big drinker, despite DH drinking 4-5 times a week (down from 7!) so I won't claim that's a massive victory!

10:45am - Greek yogurt, cream, strawberries.
1:15pm - 1/4 a camembert, 10 chorizo slices, cucumber and lettuce made into wraps.
Dinner will depend on what DH cooks but I bought some asparagus and mangetout so I'm OK for FLGV.

Seafour hope all goes well with hospital stuff this evening.

Well done everyone else for still koko despite not always seeing the best results, just still being here is a victory.

DSIL has recruited a new convert to this WOE so I've added her to my group chat and sharing the joys of LC.

farine · 25/06/2018 14:00

seafour you show tremendous fortitude - you and your family should be proud of your character. Hope you start to get a run of better luck soon.

I've managed a small bowl of homemade tomato and basil soup, with a feta cheese side salad (plenty of oil). Tonsils have stopped being so inflamed so not difficult to swallow but glands still tender. Off for a little sleep now!

After 72 hours of not being able to swallow it's going to take a bit of work to get back to drinking 3.5 litres water, daily

LeapinLizards · 25/06/2018 14:00

Checking in again after posting very little for the past week. I've STS this week and feel ok about it. I feel I was due a stall.

@Seafour, sending you Flowers - it sounds so tough for you at the moment. Like others, I hadn't realised the level of injury you'd been dealing with, even before this latest problem. It's ok to be a snotty mess - it would almost be odd if you weren't since you've not had much chance to process the news. Hope it goes well later. x

Goodasgoldilox · 25/06/2018 14:35

Seafour! You really do deserve some sympathy at the moment- a whole field of it in fact. (It is very low carb.)

oldbirdy · 25/06/2018 16:59

Checking in, 3lb off this week, pleased with that though I wish instead of a woe this was a magic wand that I could wave and lose 3 stone instantly.....

Seafour, you are quite an inspiration, KOKO in such horrendous circumstances it is humbling to think of the trivialities that have derailed me in previous diets. I hope things improve for you healthwise very soon.

prettybird · 25/06/2018 17:15

1 and 3/4lb off - now into the 3 digit 11st 9 somethings (and 3/4lb today Wink) Grin

That's 11 and 1/4 pounds since the beginning of this Boot Camp - and 46lb since I started last May! Grin

this is despite having 3 large Pimms last night, made with diet lemonade Blush

Barely eaten anything today as we've been blitzing the house as it's ds' Prom tonight and we have the joyous privilege Hmm of hosting the after-party Shock Dh and I will be decanting along the road to spend the night at a friend's place. Ds assures me he has a responsible bunch of friends Hmm. Some will be 18 but the majority 17. Shock

He's wearing a full kilt with waistcoat and Argyll jacket and looking very handsome (dh's kilt on its tightest setting and hired the waistcoat and jacket as he didn't want to wear his dad's Prince Charlie). Where have the years gone?! Confused

Twoo · 25/06/2018 17:21

Hi folks

NRFT as yet.

149.4

Twoo · 25/06/2018 17:24

Spread sheet is saying it’s read only. Can someone with access imput me 149.4 please? TY

Justmuddlingalong · 25/06/2018 17:26

Done @Twoo

Itchyknees · 25/06/2018 17:27

I’ve only lost 4lb in the last month!Hmm

My clothes feel better and I have more energy, and I think if it was colder I wouldn’t feel so swollen!

ItsalmostSummer · 25/06/2018 17:39

So for me after last weeks increase, I have lost 6.5 pounds! Yay. Overall that’s 9 pounds lost now, so it shows me I’m going in the right direction.
I have long term goals in my head which is great. I don’t miss grains anymore but I’m still changing habits - like not tasting foods I’m cooking or unbaked foods that aren’t low carb. That’s a habit that I catch myself on so that’s good. And I suppose I have been coming off sugar for several years now and have tried different substitutes and even had long periods of not having sugar in the house - offering my family alternatives like coconut sugar, honey, maple syrup etc so giving up sugar wasn’t completely new to me but I am pleased to have given it up now. I turned down another offer for some lovely cakes yesterday and wine. So I’m pleased with myself. I am not missing wine either. Although I do go through phases with wine where I want to drink a glass every now and then and then I don’t. Thankfully I’m just not that interested right now. So it works. We will see what happens with wine in the future. I think I’ll allow for and count a glass of wine in once and a while so I dont completely miss out. Anyway that’s my news. I am hoping next week I can reach my goal of losing 10 pounds. I will be very happy with that. We will see. Koko everyone.

Destinysdaughter · 25/06/2018 18:36

Just wanted to share my yummy dinner, it was so easy!

We had a roast chicken yesterday so today I made stock with it then added cooked chopped up sausages, chicken meat, peppers, mushrooms and chopped tomatoes with some fresh herbs and chilli flakes. Roasted some butternut squash with oil and garlic then added some cream to the casserole at the end. It was delicious! 😀 I didn’t need a lot as it was so filling so I’ve got dinner for the next 2 nights now.

Destinysdaughter · 25/06/2018 18:37

I don’t have kids but I bet it’s the sort of meal kids would enjoy?

qumquat · 25/06/2018 20:47

seafour I'm in awe of your strength in relation to all that is happening for you. You are a real inspiration.

I've stayed the same this week which is some kind of poetic justice I think since I've fully stuck to bootcamp, whereas last week I ate a load of cookies and chocolate and lost 3lb! I am hovering close to a new stone barrier so really hoping to break that this week.

Gammeldragz · 25/06/2018 21:20

Qumquat some people's weight takes a week to reflect their eating, so may be that?

Dinner was a burger with cheese and a gherkin slice in a lettuce wrap with asparagus fried in butter and oil.
Strawberries (5 tiny ones) and cream for pudding.
Two squares of 85% dark chocolate.

ilovecherries · 25/06/2018 22:35

I stayed the same. Again.

LeapinLizards · 25/06/2018 22:48

@ilovecherries, how is that possible? I thought either the carb refeed or the bug would be sure to get the scales moving downwards. Maybe it's delayed & will come next week.

ItsalmostSummer · 26/06/2018 00:51

Just checked my nutrition goals on MFP and they had creeped up?! Weird. Anyway I don’t knoe why I trusted it but I’ll keep an eye on that. Most if my carbs come from veges so I don’t knkw where I went wrong but maybe I can see this week. It seems I had a high carb intake ... I guess. Not sure. We will see. Anyway I’m still losing just very slowly. What’s the other app people use that works well?
