Low Carb Bootcamp - our final weigh-in!

BIWI · 19/03/2018 07:19

Good morning!

Well, we've finally reached the end. Here's the spreadsheet, for the last time

It feels to me like it's been a really good Bootcamp, with lots of NSVs as well as success on the scales. Hopefully today sees another good reading on the scales too!

As I've said on previous threads, just because we've reached the end of this Bootcamp, it doesn't mean that we all just melt away - I'll keep this chat thread going and when it fills up, I'll start another general chat one, so there's always someone here for help and support as well as ongoing low carb stuff.

I'll probably put the big stick back in its cupboard for a while though Grin

wombattoo · 21/04/2018 02:20

twinkle delurking to say how sorry I am to see your news Thanks

Eolian · 21/04/2018 07:39

I know weighing too often isn't a great idea and that whooshes aren't consistent, but I'm 4 lb down already and into the next stone bracket (just)! There's nothing like an early loss to make you feel like you're doing the right WoE!

twinkledag · 21/04/2018 09:23

I am 11 stone. Anyone who was a similar weight to me who could tell me how much they lost in the first month?

BerylStreep · 21/04/2018 10:09

Twinkle I think there are so many variabilities, for example what height and frame you have, and therefore how close to goal you are, to what extent you are already fat adapted etc.

However going by a lot of posts, it seems that 4 - 5 pounds in the first week, and thereafter 1 - 2 pounds per week seems to be fairly average.

twinkledag · 21/04/2018 11:41

I'm 5ft 4.5. I look good at 9st 7. Would be happy with 10 stoneish.

Bluntness100 · 21/04/2018 12:18

Afternoon all.

Twinkle, I'm sorry about your news. Hope you're ok. I lost about a stone I think, but I also exercised a lot and kept my calories below about 1200 although calorie control is not the intent of this woe.

I was at a wedding yesterday . Was good with the dinner, didn't want any of the carby shit, but dived head first into a chocolate fondant. Was totally worth it. 🤣

Bit of a hangover today. Considering a carby day then back on it tomorrow. Can't decide yet. 🤔

Hello everyone, hope you’re enjoying the ☀️.

I’m happy today because I smashed my parkrun on by almost 2 minutes. I am the least competitive person I know but realising I’m running a bit faster recently and beating my on is making me absurdly happy. I think it’s because I’m lighter!

twinkledag · 21/04/2018 13:43

@Bluntness100 thank you. I'd be over the moon with a stone! I also calorie count whilst doing this WOE too Wink

twinkledag · 21/04/2018 13:44

That is brilliant @Rshard Smile

TerfsUp · 21/04/2018 14:35

That's brilliant, Rshard!

Eolian · 21/04/2018 18:31

Well done Rshard!

BrassicaBabe · 21/04/2018 21:26

"absurdly happy" yep I understand that Rshard. Weird isn't it Grin

ASDismynormality · 21/04/2018 23:57

Rshard · 22/04/2018 06:52

Aww thanks everyone! Yes brassica, it’s definitely weird!

Destinysdaughter · 22/04/2018 10:36

Hi all, back from Marrakech, fab holiday but I've put on 5 pounds!! I did enjoy the food tho and had beer, bread and beans which was lovely, but have paid the price. And it's ALL gone on my tum, so can't get into 2 nice pairs of trousers I'd been wearing. Back on it tomorrow...

Destinysdaughter · 22/04/2018 10:38

Just caught up with the thread as had no internet for a few days. Twinkle so sorry to hear your news, hope you're taking care of yourself Flowers

TerfsUp · 22/04/2018 12:13

Rshard · 22/04/2018 15:56

Glad your holiday was so lovely destinys, those 5lbs will soon disappear

Destinysdaughter · 22/04/2018 16:37

Thanks, I hope so! Inspired by my hols, I've found these low carb Moroccan recipes, the food there was so delicious I'd like to be able to cook some at home. I bought some freshly ground ras el hanout and some saffron, so I'm going to give it a go.
