Low Carb Bootcamp - our final weigh-in!

Good morning!

Well, we've finally reached the end. Here's the spreadsheet, for the last time

It feels to me like it's been a really good Bootcamp, with lots of NSVs as well as success on the scales. Hopefully today sees another good reading on the scales too!

As I've said on previous threads, just because we've reached the end of this Bootcamp, it doesn't mean that we all just melt away - I'll keep this chat thread going and when it fills up, I'll start another general chat one, so there's always someone here for help and support as well as ongoing low carb stuff.

I'll probably put the big stick back in its cupboard for a while though Grin

Well my dinner party went well and I resisted beetroot crisps, mini chocolate eggs, apple crumble and ice cream! ( did have Prosecco and wine tho Blush )

Hi everyone, and this message is especially to @Grimbles, I hope she reads it!!

I have been reading but not posting as I have been going through IVF.

I had the most successful results I've ever had (this is my 3rd round). Out of the eggs they collected, 5 turned into perfect embryos. Only ever had 2 on my last 2 cycles. Maybe it's because I've mostly been following a low carb diet for the past year?! All those eggs produced good eggs?! Who knows!! But wanted to let you all know and wish @Grimbles success.

Oh and I just found out that I'm pregnant too Grin

Happy Easter you lot 🐣

I’ve managed to swerve all chocolate and naughty carby temptations.

Roast lamb dinner, no roast potatoes but plenty of veg and homemade meat juice gravy. Delicious.

A few cashew nuts.

Had 3 coffees with cream though Grin

*Sidles back in quietly and lurks in a corner...

I decided to take a bit of a break from LC as I'd stalled for ages and been getting cold and tired, wondering if it was messing with my thyroid. Of course, I ended up eating far too many carbs rather than a moderate amount and have put on over half a stone. But, one week back on and I'm 3.6lbs down, despite a couple of hot cross buns and glasses of wine over easter weekend. Back to the WOE properly now. Already feel my hunger is reduced.

Have caught up on this thread and you're all doing so well, so that's made me feel more motivated.

Ilove so pleased to read about your hair journey and how you're coming to terms with it. Good for you!

Another BC baby as well, Congratulations!

Nan’ thank you for the chocolate pudding link.

I don’t normally have a dessert but what with it being Easter I made this today for me and my other half. It is totally devine and lovely 😊. I 100% recommend the recipe. The cooking time suggested is a bit off. I found it needed longer but be careful to not over cook as you’ll lose the squidge in the middle.

Served with double cream.

BrassicaBabe · 02/04/2018 16:58

Saturday/Sunday I've had carb creep and gone from 9.11.4 to 10. Then today I ate a (small) Lindor egg followed by two hot cross buns. I feel wretched. Going to go for a run shortly Sad

BIWI · 02/04/2018 17:17

Afternoon all. Checking in here from Sao Paulo, where I'm working till next Saturday. I have no clue what the food choices are going to be like!

Congratulations twinkle!

Same brassica, I’ve not gone crazy no Easter eggs but a bit of bread. Fancy joining me being back on it from tomorrow?

Enjoy your run

Rshard · 02/04/2018 17:19

Oh and a hit cross bun!

Wow BIWI - Sao Paolo

BIWI · 02/04/2018 17:40

Hmm. Don't be too envious. I'm working from 8.30am-7.00pm every day this week from tomorrow; off to brief the local agency shortly. Then fly home on Saturday. It took me 2 hours to get from the airport to the city centre this morning, so I'm going to have to leave on Saturday by 12 noon at the latest, if I'm to catch my flight, so no time to see anything!

Blimey, sounds hectic!

BlackMozart · 02/04/2018 19:18

I am also off plan, tired, grumpy and generally fed up. Period hasn’t appeared yet (several weeks late) and I am peri menopausal so am crossing my fingers that I may finally be shifting towards the actual thing. I am suffering from awful eczema or something on my hands and versions other patches (in my ears I think ) hence me feeling down. Have been drinking too much, and I made hot cross buns yesterday and have been chomping them and the hand made milk chocolate small frog (Easter?) my husband ‘kindly’ produced. It obviously has to stop so am hoping to put this all behind me in this coming week.

Good to hear how others are doing because that does still give me hope but unless I change my behaviour nothing will change. My DB has lost 6lbs this week (first week) but doing Slimming World - urggh!

Rshard · 02/04/2018 19:30

Oh dear blackmozart, fancy starting over with me tomorrow? And hopefully brassica.

JumpingintoLCHF · 02/04/2018 19:40

I'd like to start again tomorrow too. Easter has been a write-off.
