Morning all

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness.

We've reached the half way part now, and I hope you're finding it a bit easier - no more carb flu, and getting used to a different way of eating.

If you've suffered from the week 3, 4 or even 5 stall, I hope that this week you'll see the scales start to move (downwards!) again.

I hope you all have a good week

Sayrra Congratulations!

cherries Your husband sounds so lovely - kind and supportive. I love your new wig, it really suits you. Still envious of your eyebrows (they had to do a patch test before they'll sort mine out so I still don't have proper ones, much to my dismay) and now your collarbones... Glad you're back on track and hope you have a great weekend.

BIWI · 16/02/2018 22:26

Ah yes, @SayrraT - you're right. I was looking at an American site, so of course that included fibre. Sorry @ThumbWitchesAbroad!!!

fantastic news Sayrra Well done You!!!

I haven't posted much lately but have read all the thread. lots

ilove yet another fantastic look for you. Nobody could ever guess that is a wig. It really suits your face shape too. What great silver linings to your hair loss that you can change looks so easily, don't have problems with styles 'growing out' and can quickly and easily style your 'hair' every day. Plus you can go shopping for new hair!

thumb maybe weigh or count your daily fruit intake and post here? Perhaps you aren't having as moderate a quantity as you think? the sweetness kick is also potentially a problem as it stimulates appetite and craving for more sweetness. that's why it's difficult to stop at one strawberry malteser ! I find I really like to snack on small crunchy chunks of raw broccoli, cucumber, courgette or cauli, and dipped in garlic mayo is even nicer.

For those that post about desserts frequently, even if it's Greek yogurt and berries or dark choc, might also want to adjust more into the BC mindset where it's helpful to drop old eating habits, societal expectations of particular courses for meals, old tastebud routines of sweet after savoury etc. If you really want to get the most success out of this WOE, then dessert should be a very occasional thing not a daily part of your food intake. Breaking old eating habits is really the holy grail of permanent weight loss. None of us ever wants to go back to being how heavy we were at the start, right?

BerylStreep · 17/02/2018 00:02

Cherries, lovely hair!

BerylStreep · 17/02/2018 00:08

Oh, and food for today:

B. Coffee with AM&C
L. None. Another ☕️
S. Couple small bags of pork scratchings. Ham and cheese
D. Pan fried salmon with fried leeks and cabbage

Doesn't seem like very much, but I just wasn't hungry. I seemed to eat a lot yesterday so maybe that's why.

Seedlip is up to £25 on Amazon. It does seem a lot to pay for basically flavoured water, but I do like it. I was musing if I simmered gin, would it burn off the alcohol but leave the taste. DH reckons it would be disgusting.

Twoo · 17/02/2018 03:19

Fantastic news Sayrra’, Congratulations on your new role Flowers.

Yesterday’s menu:-

B - None.
L - Brocolli, Kale, sprouts sautéed in butter.
D - Quite a boring ham & cheese salad.

Today’s intended Menu:-
B - None, usually not hungry.
L - Veg sautéed in butter.
D - Lamb shank, cauliflower mash & green beans.

Twoo · 17/02/2018 03:24

Beryl I’ve just returned my Seedlip to Amazon. I bought when £20.00. I received a full refund and my postage. Even though I had had about 20ml out of it.

I really didn’t like it. It felt/tasted oily and the one I had took all the fizz out of the tonic. But plenty of people do seem to like it.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 17/02/2018 06:48

(Might have lost a couple of lbs this morning)
(don't want to say it too loud just in case it comes back on)

I don't have nearly as many raspberries and blackberries as I was having the cherries. I can only eat them with cream, not on their own, so a maximum of 6 each in the evening, and not even every day. The cherries was another matter - I was snacking on those as well Blush

Having a bit of a choc-attack today - it's the first time in about a week I've really wanted to have any, so I'm quite pleased it's taken this long - but I have resisted. I can't have ANY at all at the moment or I'll carb creep quicker than anything.

BIWI · 17/02/2018 08:02

Seems like you have a need for sweet things, Thumb - well done for resisting though!

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 17/02/2018 08:06

Thanks BIWI - I do, yes. I also have a need for savoury crispy things too, but am avoiding those like the plague! I tried the kale crisps once but they made me feel really quite ill, so not again. I like to make parmesan crisps but recently they've been setting off the acid reflux, so they're out too.

Rshard · 17/02/2018 08:17

Glad you’re feeling perkier ilove, your dh sounds lovely.

Bluntness100 · 17/02/2018 08:20

Anyone tried any old clothes on yet that now fit?

I put weight on due to a couple of broken bones making me sedentary and I used the time very efficiently,,,to stuff my face. Plus husband feeding me and low carb was never gonna be on his menu.

This morning I tried on some work jackets that are a ten and they fit. Couldn't quite do them up, but not far off it and don't look daft and over tight.

The problem is I've put more weight on on my arse and thighs. Probably due to said lounging and stuffing, and not moving lower half, so some trousers I still can't even get over my arse.

But small victories and the jacket success has cheered me up no end. I guess it's like the scales for others. 🤔

BIWI · 17/02/2018 08:22

It is! But actually, clothes fitting is a much more tangible, and satisfying, victory. Go you! Flowers

That’s great bluntness, well done you!

Twoo · 17/02/2018 10:30

That’s a great NSV Blunt’ . I just love it when my clothes feel looser and my belts need to go to the next hole Grin

littleladylawyer · 17/02/2018 10:42

Congratulations Sayrra, what fab news.

Been a manic week here and I've been pretty strict with food after the more relaxed skiing menu. Lots of salad, olives, fish, chicken and eggs!

I had my depo contraceptive injection on Thursday which always makes me very hormonal and hangry, but this time I did some yoga which seemed to help mood wise and banished the urge to eat a tub of ice cream! I think if I exercise I make better choices as I don't want to undo the good work I've done

nekobus · 17/02/2018 10:47

Eek! I need talked down from a case of the Fuck It All's !! Shock a 24 hour carb fest which started as not wanting to be rude about someone's hospitality to having a fuck it all moment which included cake and biscuits. Back on it today and have packed some LC snacks for a day out (we are away on a weekend break). I really don't want to undo all my work so far!!

ASDismynormality · 17/02/2018 10:47

Bluntness100. Fitting into clothes you couldn’t previously is a brilliant achievement and oh so satisfying! I generally have an item of clothing that’s a bit too small with the aim of fitting into it - it’s a great incentive and reward when it finally fits. As I am now a 14 my next step incentive item needs to be a 12 but I can’t believe that could actually happen!

Rayna37 · 17/02/2018 11:48

cherries your wigs are fabulous. Wigs for me always bring to mind the awesome Dolly Parton, who when asked how long it took to do her hair said (you have to imagine the accent) "why how would I know, I'm never there" Smile

NSV with another post-baby parkrun PB of a very satisfying 31:59 with DH and baby cheering me on in the sunshine this week. Faster course than last week but still, felt good. I've stopped wondering if they do sports bras for bellies.

nekobus · 17/02/2018 12:01

And congrats Sayrra! Fab news
Cherries gorgeous new wig!

Bluntness100 · 17/02/2018 12:35

Thanks all, made me smile. Smal" victories.

Cherries, if I hadn't have read the thread I would not have know it was a wig, genuinely. Looks great.

Spiderkitty · 17/02/2018 15:08

Sorry to hear that you lost your dog BlackMozart, bedlingtons always seem like such fun little characters.

I do miss having a dog and we're hoping to get one when DS is a bit older, we're looking into getting a retired military dog, I have such a soft spot for older dogs, much more so than puppies!

Congratulations Sayrra, what great news!

I'm having a bit of an accident prone week, I managed to slice my thumb on a mandolin making celeriac gratin and, in a bid to be more active, I'm trying to ride a lot more and and think might have fractured my hand jumping this morning Blush

Today's menu:
B: Creamy coffee
S: Cheese
L: Pulled ham hock and mayo in a lettuce wrap
D: Low carb moussaka and salad

SayrraT · 17/02/2018 15:48

Thanks everyone!

Oh no spider, hope your hand is OK?! Surprisingly easy to break your hand riding isn't it!

nekobus · 17/02/2018 16:27

Oh no spider! Hope it's not too bad.
I'm off to take the kids for ice cream Hmmmaybe a nice coffee will keep me away from temptation...

Rshard · 17/02/2018 17:07

Oh spider, hope your hand ok! Have you been to a&e?
