wh0knows then it sounds like you'll be fine without the squash and biscuits, which is a total bonus! Got me thinking about how we do things out of habit. I had been drinking tea for years now because it's on offer so frequently in the UK, but was never a tea drinker and much prefer coffee.
Used to eat the half time chips at local pub quiz every week because they were free for each team, and I don't particularly like chips, especially not chunky chips that they serve.
But it was all part of the ritual habit of these social events so I followed along. I don't anymore. I'm in charge of my rituals and habits now.
pimmsy your "woe is me" scanned as "my way of eating is me". I feel fully indoctrinated into LCHF if that's my first thought, ha!
hippa I agree but don't think this friend is particularly jealous. She's far slimmer than I am, always has been, and is a runner. I am decidedly not. I think she was just curious and slightly socially awkward. All is forgiven.
Your friend amuses me, let her amuse you as well.
grah lay off the beer. It's the road to pot bellies around the world.
(Actually you're doing great--it's tricky as I know you're extremely close to goal and maintenance, so you're doing fine. Just remember it's about what goes in your mouth, not the miles on the bike. My husband still doesn't get it, thinks he can cycle hundreds of miles for the rest of his life and stay trim whilst mainlining Ben & Jerry's cookie dough tubs...
