Time that's great, well done!

Yolo that's a great way to think of it. I agree I don't see cakes etc as something I eat now, so I don't find them hard to resist.

The turkish takeaway was amazing, I had feta salad, halloumi, olives and kizmarta (aubergine, peppers & courgettes all fried together and covered in yoghurt.) It probably wasn't strict bootcamp due to the tomatoes and peppers but it was lovely and I really enjoyed it.

Food plan for today:
L - leftover roast chicken salad
D - out to a pub, will probably do my usual ham & egg order & replace the chips with salad.

I'm working on the Gammeldag song C4. It goes to the tune of Jerusalem. This is what I have so far:

And did that BIWI in Mumsnet times
Run the Bootcamp with iron fist
And did the C4 with pink wheels
Find the holy Gammeldags

There will be more. Grin

Is it me or does anyone have an appetite I'm struggling to eat, I make a main meal and normally I can't finish it. I think of what I used to eat 😩

littlebillie · 23/09/2017 08:49

Yolo hollys figure is the result of a careful diet and exercise

GammeldagBooks · 23/09/2017 09:02

little my portions are much smaller than I used to have

Thanks for all the inspirational posts, especially yours YoLo I havs been struggling recently tbh. I am still using food as an emotional prop. I have fallen into a BC Lite trap of 'dark choc is OK', yes, but not a whole big bar in one day! And so on. I think I need to have a stern word with myself about sticking to strict BC. My weight looks like it's going down but the scales bounce up and down terribly (I know that's normal) and I am frustrated with what feels like slow progress. There is a lot going on in my life but making myself fat and unhealthy isn't going to help Confused

Mimosa1 · 23/09/2017 09:19

ilove not a slip in 4 months is brilliant. Well done you!

biwi what is that an acronym for?

Yolo and c4 I've had a go at the next verse to the tune of Jerusalem

And so the Gammeldagets crew
Did follow the rules of low carb Bootcamp
And they ate lots of lovely fat
And became less so themselves

Morning all.
I'm being crap and not keeping up with what everyone is up to.
Also being crap with food and carby twatness. But I'm generally feeling a bit shit and am frankly bored with it.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 23/09/2017 10:04

What is boring you, MOIST? Staying on plan?

You know what bores me? Being obese these many years. I'm really bored with that.

C4pinkwheels · 23/09/2017 10:06

Moist WTF is going on, you can't be bored just spend five minutes looking at the recipe thread and find a couple of new dishes to make. That should renew your interest in this woe, what else is going on? You know we're all here for you if you need a rant. We all want your fat to pissrightoff but you need to be in control of what you eat.

twinkledag · 23/09/2017 10:15

MOIST - I know how you feel, I was bored of the food too but you just need to get back into the swing of things.

NSV yesterday - managed to get into a size 10 pair of trousers! Total fluke and probs cause of the style (high waisted and low cut) but still! Super inspiring to KOKO.

Off to have sausage and egg for breakfast Grin

YoLoGammelZammoDag · 23/09/2017 11:00

Aaaaahhhh c4 right back atcha! Grin

Have a lovely time in Cardiff. You must be so excited for #LolaDay too. And I burst out laughing at reference to Kirsty's pubes!!!! You are probably right. I imagine they are trim Wink.

MOIST · 23/09/2017 11:09

I'm not planning properly. And not been up to dhopping and cooking this week (had my vein done). Mostly bored with feeling a bit blurgh and not being able to get on with stuff. Need to pull myself together and get on with it.

C4pinkwheels · 23/09/2017 11:10

Oh I imagined that she has a natural bush and is proud of it.

Gammeldragz · 23/09/2017 11:14

gammeldagfinder/c4 Fab dress, shoes and bag, even better though is you manage to look so healthy and happy!

moist sorry you're feeling crap about it all. We're here for you, we can help find solutions, if you want them?

I'm fed up as weight has stalled/gained regained the same pound for a month. May have to egg fast next week as I start placement the week after and it will be harder to do then...

C4pinkwheels · 23/09/2017 11:15

Ahh Moist I understand that feeling, it's horrible when you're not up to doing stuff, that's why I've got into the habit of drinking coffee with cream.
Please don't punish yourself by being a carby twat you deserve so much better than that.Flowers

MOIST · 23/09/2017 11:18

So generally a mix of not doing anything, eating shit, paining, boredom and not thinking positively.

Will get DD to take me shopping and stop being a dick

YoLoGammelZammoDag · 23/09/2017 11:19

time great goal. Try them on every week and see them fitting better and better.

Thanks Hippa. And mimosa Loving the song verses !

littlebillie i imagine Holly does follow a careful diet and exercise. Isn't that what we are all doing here?

oldbooks and MOIST YOU CAN DO THIS!!! Remember this mantra: I will take proper care of myself. I will do this by eating good lchf food. I will not binge or eat crap because I am worth more than that And repeat.

It is easy to slip into cooking the same meals. And I am soo bored of babybels. C4 is right, go look at the recipe thread for inspiration. If it's boredom because the weight loss is slow, ie really just impatience, then remind yourself that with other diets you may lose faster but will put it all back on and more. If you arent losing then look at where yiu are going wrong. If you don't want to be fat for the rest of your life then find your motivation and get right back into this woe with a vengeance!

littlebillie · 23/09/2017 11:30

Yolo we are but probably without a team of people to help out 😁

ClearEyesFullHearts · 23/09/2017 11:44

MOIST it's okay to feel rubbish and blah after a medical procedure!

Just be kind to yourself, rest well, and if you're not able yet to get on with things try distracting yourself with a film or book. It's nice sometimes to escape to another world.

HippadoppaloppaGammeldag · 23/09/2017 12:31

C4 you looked ace!

twinkle yay to the size 10, you can do it lady!

MOIST failing to plan is planning to fail. You can totally get back on board with this.

I just had an NSV - made MIL a birthday cake, didn't lick the bowl, put it straight in the sink with washing up liquid in it, didn't eat any of the melted chocolate or the cut off ends. Just boxed the ends up and gave them to the neighbours!

twinkledag · 23/09/2017 12:36

MOIST - I hear ya! But stick with us! I was off plan for a month but stayed here for inspiration. You'll be ok once you get your mind back into it.

BIWI · 23/09/2017 12:46

@littlebillie - loss of appetite is one of the greatest bonuses of low carbing. And it's a real eye-opener, to think of the portions you would have been eating before you started!

@Mimosa1 - it's an acronym for my initial MN name (well, my initial one, once I'd abandoned my embarrassing Mummy name Blush), which was BecauseImWorthIt.

I chose that name because my first few weeks of reading around MN made me realise that if I wasn't careful, I was subsuming myself and what I wanted to keep the people around me happy. But it got so tedious typing it out all the time - and people started referring to me as BIWI, and it stuck!

@MOIST sorry that you're having a tough time at the moment. How did the vein op go?

@C4pinkwheels - whilst you may not have much of an appetite, and you may be lazy Grin, but substituting meals for coffee really isn't a good idea, as you're really not getting much nutrition from it, are you?

Like everything, for this WOE you really do need to do a bit of planning ahead. Could you hard boil some eggs or cook some low carb sausages, so that you've got something you could grab for breakfast? Or make sure that you make bigger portions of dinner, so that you've got leftovers for the next day's lunch?

TimeIhadaNameChange · 23/09/2017 15:57

So you're not the Bordeaux International Wine Institute, then? Shame! Though I was wondering how that was meant to inspire us since we're supposed to be cutting back on the alcohol!!!

StuntNun · 23/09/2017 17:08

C4 I would definitely ditch the coffee with cream instead of breakfast. As BIWI says it's a nutrient-poor choice and it ruins the fasting effect of skipping breakfast because it's so high in calories. Either have a proper low carb breakfast or do 16:8 intermittent fasting.

BIWI · 23/09/2017 18:04

Sorry, @TimeIhadaNameChange - much more mundane Grin

So

Next Bootcamp will start on 9 October, with the final weigh-in, after a full 10 weeks, on 18 December.

I hope that suits everyone.

I will be away for 10 days towards the beginning, but I'm sure you can all manage without me! (And I usually have access to the internet, so I can do some stick waving from a long distance)
