Thanks MOIST, luckily I like natural yoghurt.

Thanks BIWI, I haven't given in yet but I've certainly identified post meals to be a weak spot and I definitely crave sweet things then. I'll keep going but I think I'm going to have to be mindful that this could be an issue.

Veryflummoxed · 05/09/2017 20:30

SayrraT completely agree with what every one else has said. Have a good look at your pole pics. They were fab, you looked gorgeous. FlowersFlowers KOKO.

MOIST · 05/09/2017 20:40

Shitting hell. I am going on holiday in 3 sodding days and i am a fat bastard. I blame the alcohol. And i drink to medicate my bucket overflowing with stress shit. Argh!

And yes. I am drinking wine. Again.

Fucksake.

ilovecherries · 05/09/2017 21:27

Sayrra, can understand why that's upsetting, but you've got loads of time to either get a new dress, or lose weight if that's what you want - you don't have to. 16 weeks ago though I was a size 22/24, and now I'm a pretty straight 14/16.

OP posts:
YoLoZammo · 05/09/2017 22:25

Sayrra as everyone else has said, stop stressing, it will be fine. At the risk of using the 'koko' solution for everything, really just get back on the lchf wagon and koko the hell out of it.

moist step away from the wine!!!!!!! Stop doing things to sabotage yourself. You are better than that. Go and have a nice long bath with candles and sparkly shit and give yourself a break. Find a new way to destress. One that doesn't make you feel like a failure. Go girl!!

SayrraT · 05/09/2017 22:29

Thanks everyone, if it was just me I'd keep it knowing that I can and will fit into it by April but I think the bride is concerned I won't so wants a dress that fits now.

I don't blame her though, I was measured in May and haven't lost anything since then.

The dress is a 22, the clothes I am currently wearing are size 18. It feels like the dress is miles off. I'll post a picture.

Dress measurements on the website are :

Bust: 47
Waist: 39
Hips: 51

And I measure (measured several times by me and bride using multiple tapes and taking an average).

Bust: 47
Waist: 38
Hips: 47

SayrraT - sorry you are feeling so rubbish. Hopefully it's a mistake but the shop but as others have said if the wedding is not till next year you have lots of time.

Good day here today and I need to especially thank StuntNun for the alcohol free gin link. I ordered it yesterday and it arrived today. I really liked it. Quite aromatic. I had one while DH was cooking (and drinking real gin) and really felt it hit the spot. Definitely felt like a treat and that I was having that evening sociable drink with DH. He went on to have wine but I didn't. Water and ginger tea for me.

Food today breakfast - Greek yoghurt with a nectarine, nuts and seeds.
Lunch - large salad of spinach and rocket with prosciutto, mozzarella, avocado and four cherry tomatoes with Delouis mayo and EVO
Snack - two babybels
Dinner - chicken fajitas made with home made spice mix so no carby nasties, sour cream, grated cheese and chopped avocado and tomato

SayrraT · 05/09/2017 22:32

Forgot pic

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 05/09/2017 22:40

They must have ordered the wrong size, as your measurements were below the standard size! Unless it's an American size or something? Lovely colour, btw.

ragz134 · 05/09/2017 22:45

sayrraT Posh dress sizes are way off what we are used to though, don't take their 22/24 to be a reflection on you. I was a size 16/18 in my starting progress photo and there's no way I'd have fit in that dress, judging by the photo. It isn't a forgiving style, you'd probably easily fit in something that was cut differently but advertised for the same measurements.
moist my fathead pizza dough came out soft too. I wondered if it was due to using ground almonds rather than flour. I may try it with coconut flour, as I haven't used that in ages and it needs using!

wotabastard · 05/09/2017 22:46

SayraaT I find that dresses in bridal shops always run small. Last year I was a 14-16 and struggled to do an 18 up in a bridesmaid dress. Horrible feeling when you are actively trying to go down dress sizes! Could well be that. I remember your pole pics too and you were smoking. KOKO! Flowers

Hi guys. I made mozzarella chips as a snack tonight. Woah mama thems were tasty! Grin

I'll have been following this woe for 2 weeks on Thursday. I've not wavered or cracked or even desired to once. Struggling to believe it really but I am so pleased with how this is going. I've really needed a boost and I just feel in control and like my health and appearance are back in my hands now and I can see them being even better down the road. It's a really comforting thought. My body shape is changing before my eyes it seems and my clothes are fitting me really well. Yay. Feeling all the fuzzy, positive thoughts tonight. Thank you low carb mumsnetters!

Got a big park walk planned tomorrow with the buggy so will be getting my heart pumping on those hills.

B: 3 eggs, mushrooms, butter, rocket and babyleaf salad, oil
L: greek yogurt, olives, cheese
creamy coffee
D: chicken burger, cucumber, rocket and baby leaf, mayo
S: mozzarella chips, cheddar slices

Day was a bit salady though large in quantity but yesterday I had broccoli, spinach, and asparagus plus salads so not too bothered. Going to have a pile of courgetti at some point tomorrow too.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 06/09/2017 00:21

It's after dinner when I'd usually have something sweet to clear my palate. Usually chocolate

Aw I hate to be the one to break it to you, but chocolate is not a palate cleanser. Grin

Lenl · 06/09/2017 00:52

MOIST and ragz what mozzarella do you use for fathead dough? A lot of these recipes really need preshredded cheese as it's drier. There is about 1g more carb per 100g with this though. Failing that the mozzarella in a larger block might do better than the ones that come in a bag of water. There's so much more moisture in mozzarella packaged that way when it melts it might make for a wetter dough?

SayrraT · 06/09/2017 07:14

Thank you everyone, I'm feeling better this morning. I think that I'm just nervous that we go back to the shop and when they measure they say I've put weight on so it's my fault. I don't think it is but I don't know how well I'll be able to stand up for myself.

Anyway, since the start of SSS I've lost 2 lbs so off to an excellent start Smile

Veryflummoxed · 06/09/2017 07:37

That dress looked lovely from the waist down by the way. That looked nothing like a 22 to me. Good luck with the fitting.

ragz134 · 06/09/2017 08:05

SayrraT when do you go back? Can you egg fast first? May shift an inch...

Lenl very good point, I did indeed use soggy mozzarella, that may be it!

I'm finally at a new low weight, for the first time in nearly a month! I do think I need to cut down on the creamy yogurt, I had two servings yesterday... Will try not to have it daily.

SayrraT · 06/09/2017 08:17

ragz tomorrow! I did an egg fast at the weekend.

I agree with the fathead pizza, I use the pre-grated mozzarella.

YoLoZammo · 06/09/2017 08:30

sayrra i think the worst thing is not that the dress doesn't fit but that the shop are effectively fat shaming. You shouldn't have been put in a position where you have to argue with them about measurements and whose fault it is. And for the bride to be panicking this far away from the wedding suggests she needs to chill out! I would suggest that you tell her there is no point going back to the shop right now as it will only mean two sets of alterations. Tbh I cannot see there is enough fabric to let it out enough at the present moment and it probably means getting a different size. Your shape is very slim at the waist and hip and wide at the shoulders. A bigger size would probably have to be taken in at the hip anyway or it will just hang off you. I think the real problem is that the chosen dress style does not suit your shape. I know it's difficult when you have several bridesmaids with different body shapes. But that should have been taken into account and a style chosen that suits all, or different styles chosen in the same colour theme. Anyway, in summary, it would be better just to delay the fitting until January or February (during which time you stay on bc) and then get the hip area of the dress taken in. Or choose a different dress in a matching or complementary colourway that actually suits your body shape.

I've been through organising several family weddings and had my fill of bridezilla tantrums. It all works out in the end!

ilovecherries · 06/09/2017 08:59

My lower belly now has a vertical dent running from pubic bone to belly button, with fat bulges at each side of it. It's there when I'm standing up, but much more obvious seated. I'm not at all worried about it, just curious what it is. Is it a muscle re-emerging? Just uneven fat loss (although odd that it's symmetrical)?

OP posts:
ilovecherries · 06/09/2017 09:06

I've just seen your picture, Sayraa. I've lived in 22s for a long time, and that doesn't look like one, and neither does your arse or waist. Your shoulders don't love fat either, they are broad and muscular certainly. I'm with YoLo, I think the attitude of the shop and the complicit support from the bride that you need to be re-measured to see 'whose fault it is' is the problem. The dress doesn't fit, and to be honest doesn't look like it would ever fit your physique. End of. I'd be refusing to engage with it till the new year, then a decision can be made.

OP posts:
ilovecherries · 06/09/2017 09:07

Look fat, obviously. Shoulders don't have emotions :)

OP posts:
CiderwithBuda · 06/09/2017 09:35

Gosh SayrraT - you look nowhere near a 22! I'm a 20 and you look much slimmer than me! There is a mistake there somewhere for sure.

Sneaky hop on scales this morning - almost 2lbs down from Monday's post boozy/carby weekend weigh in.

Really interesting last reading comments about people changing shape and looking much slimmer even though no big scale loss. I'm going to try to remember that for when scales don't show the results I was hoping for.

Have a good day all.

PrimalLass · 06/09/2017 10:11

Sayraa will the bride let you wait until nearer the time?

SayrraT · 06/09/2017 10:39

You all have no idea how much better you've made me feel.

I agree with everyone that it would be better to wait and also that I personally wouldn't have chosen this style. I did suggest that the bride chose different styles for us all in the same colour as we are all very different builds. She wanted us all the same. Tbh, if she is happy with me in a dress like that then fine, it's her so has to look at me Grin

I've managed to persuade bride that we can go to the shop to confirm the the error is theirs and get them to agree to do alterations free but to wait until next year to do them.

I needed a kick up the bum to get back on track so I'll just take this as that push and get on with it!

prettybird · 06/09/2017 11:11

Just a thought SayrraT but do you know anyone with one of those adjustable dressmaking mannequins?

It would be interesting to put the dress on to it to see what size it would need to be in order for the back to be able to fasten HmmThat's if the shop doesn't accept it was their mistake Sad

I agree with others that no way do you - and therefore the dress - look like a 22 Confused
