Evening all. Have got over myself a bit and am doing another 2 weeks of BC with DH.

B. 2 bacon, 1 fried egg
L. Tin of tuna with spreadable blue cheese mixed in. Some cheddar a chorizo slices. Miso soup
S. Pork scratchings
D. 3 sausages buttered leek (sausages were 97% pork)

Drinks - 3 X creamy coffees, 1 X coffee with splash of semi-skimmed milk, 3 X .75 litre water with a 4th on the go.

Llareggub · 04/09/2017 21:27

Another KG off; that's 4.7kg sinve 21 August

TimeIhadaNameChange · 04/09/2017 21:39

Clear - glad my self-groping has you amused! When I'm arrested for public indecency I expect you to jump me from prison!!!

YoLo - the cake was the first one I'd baked in years. I wanted to bake something for DP as he's been through hell recently, plus we had about 20 eggs in the house having given 18 away on Friday, and it was a way of using up a few (have hens and ducks, hence the many, many eggs!). After last night's stomach troubles I wont be eating cake again in a hurry, don't worry! And I usually have no problems not eating potatoes etc and we have lots from the garden and I'd rather not waste them if DP will eat them. The only reason I had some yesterday was because I'd eaten so little on the Saturday, and there had been a couple of days last week when I'd had next to nothing as I lost my appetite due to illness, so I wasn't bothered about eating something that I fancied.

As for DP it's not as bad as it sounds. I was just trying to ensure my last post wasn't too long. He wasn't out out drinking, just down in the summer house, and I'd gone down for a chat for a while anyway, after watching Casualty, so I wasn't lonely. He's not been in a good place recently, so I'm not going to begrudge him some time on his own.

TimeIhadaNameChange · 04/09/2017 21:57

But thank you, both, for caring. x

Lidl do a Dolcellato Piccante which is lovely and soft. Smile and very more ish if left at room temperature along with other cheeses after a meal Wink

littlebillie · 04/09/2017 22:43

Thanks wambatoo planning to get back to it tomorrow. I did find bread really boring and I can't eat pizza anymore however I did enjoy gnocchi and bigaoli pasta but I can live without again 👍

ClearEyesFullHearts · 04/09/2017 22:59

lilydaisyrose, breastfeeding or not, you need to Up your vegetables.

Even adding a small green salad with vinaigrette or (ugh, sorry) salad cream/mayonnaise) will give you bwtter, good carbs and more fat for your baby.

Do not be afraid of the vegetables and the fat. These are very good things.

Pa--well done you.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 04/09/2017 23:04

but also doesn't flatter the large of hip/thigh. I miss bootcut!

I think bootcut flatters many figures but doesn't look 'chic' and the craze for skinnies comes from a misguided conformity.

Bootcut actually flatters most figures more than skinnies do. But it's seen as being 70s and hippie or cowboy. Which is a shame. If you look back through fashion you'll see tha most women aren't Audrey Hepburn who, while lovely, basically had the figure of a young boy.

Oh feck, I'm rambling now.

starsky22 · 04/09/2017 23:14

Bella Thanks for the feedback on the low carb alternatives, I tried the 1 minute muffin yesterday, but wasn't keen, definitely not a decent substitution for bread, but might try with cheese and herbs. Also going to try the brownie recipe!

Today
B fasting
L bolgnese and bare naked noodles
D chicken, chorizo, spinach, broccoli, mozzarella & pinenuts

ragz134 · 04/09/2017 23:19

llareggub excellent loss. Well done Halo

cleareyes I carried on wearing bootcut long after they were fashionably acceptable, only stopped as my favourite pairs don't fit. I will return to them in the winter, when I can get them on and have found 'the' boots that will go with everything and change my life (a girl can hope, eh?).

Had creamy yogurt. Plus some chorizo. So definitely hit my fat goal for the evening!
Hoping to actually eat the lunch I was meant to have today, tomorrow.

Bail money at the ready...

ClearEyesFullHearts · 04/09/2017 23:38

Time flowers for you and cake for DH!!!

Am sure we were just double-checking.

There are so many things that can effect our goals and sometimes we (thread participants/internet strangers) see things of concern.

Obviously this thread is about LCHF and weight loss, but I'm a firm believer of the idea that if you don't address what made you fat, you will make the same mistakes again.

We are not trying to simply lose weight, we are trying to change our selves and our lives. #deep Wink

ClearEyesFullHearts · 04/09/2017 23:40

ragz glad to hear you have bootcuts on high alert (it's coming soon)!

Ps--there is no perfect pair of boots. One must have at least three pairs of boots to achieve personal stylistic perfection. Wink

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 05/09/2017 06:56

C4 Hope you get well enough to travel, wouldn't be good to get stuck at home.
Side thought --Thinking your going to need a insulated sandwich bag packed with LCHF goodies. Cheese, cream, and some protein. That is grabbed by someone on the way out.
Perhaps write a list on the fridge door. Bring .... with you.
Hospitable food sucks.

Like the Maternity bags - you "mum's to very soon to be" have hubby's grab when you go into labour.

Grimbles · 05/09/2017 07:24

Hippa, I use the st. agur blue creme.

ragz134 · 05/09/2017 07:44

Nope, not lighter today. I am blaming the pelvic pain I keep getting (ended up taking codeine yesterday), I'm sure the inflammation is making me heavier. Also felt like I've had pmt for a fortnight, bad mood and sore boobs but not TOTM. Don't want to blame the Mirena as it's the only thing that's ever stopped me getting pregnant so I don't want it out, but I can't see what else it could be.

C4pinkwheels · 05/09/2017 08:32

Thank you for the well wishes everyone, you all need to be channeling your inner Namaste Bitch vibes in my direction until I get of top of this bloody infection.

Could they have given me something other than toast - the toast was the compromise, they wanted me to eat hospital ice cream or yogurt neither of which contain any nutritional value it's just chemical soup and on that basis I refuse.

Grah the image of a food grab bag for labour made me chuckle as I helped DIL put one together last week ready for Alfie's arrival. If there's time we always take food but when it's an emergency like Saturday it's really not important. The hospital are very used to my strange eating habits, when I was recovering from surgery I was on a high protein & raw food diet and obviously more recently it's been LCHF, I get fridge space and keep yogurt, cheese, meat and some berries in it and order salad for lunch/dinner or my PA or DH bring me a hot meal, it works well. I think because my well is considered critically ill they are very willing to indulge me, especially as getting my BMI down has been flagged up as a clear goal to improve my health. Quite nicely phrased by one doctor "the less of you there is to keep alive the happier we will all be".

Food today, I haven't got a clue as no shopping has been done, I have eggs, fish which I grabbed out of the freezer yesterday and lots of courgettes and beans in the garden so I'm not going to starve. Fingers crossed that Ocado have a slot for tomorrow.

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 05/09/2017 10:23

On holiday in deepest wales, wet and windy!! Hardly any phone signal and the wifi is virtually useless. Beautiful beaches and our black lab Buster is having lots of swimming - good for his arthritic joints.
C4 Sending you healing vibes to zap the bugs
KOKO everyone
I'm keeping to the BC rules on holiday - I'm being very boring!!! I want to get this woe embedded as my own way and I enjoy the food on bc. I tasted some red wine 🍷 for the first time in over a month and after 2 sips gave it to my oh to finish off as I didn't like the taste!!!

lisbapalea · 05/09/2017 11:09

Hi all,

I am trying to do the fasting thing - is that OK having been off LC'ing for quite a while? So I am skipping breakfast (apart from a strong coffee with whole milk) and then just doing lunch and dinner.

Today:
B - fasting / coffee
L - something from M&S - prob salad and some spicy prawns with mayo
D - chicken thighs cooked with olive oil, lemon and basil (think it's a Nigel Slater recipe that DH likes to cook) with lots of buttery green veg

Llareggub · 05/09/2017 11:15

What does woe mean?
