Time you've a lot going on there, lovely. Do you want a child? Why won't your DP have children? Honestly? I wouldn't mention this situation to your mum. It's nothing to do with her. It seems if you do it'll open up stuff for you, between you and your Mum, that will be hurtful and unnecessary for YOU.

That sounds very tough Time. I can't imagine not being able to have children. My best friend spent years ttc then trying to get ivf then eventually adopted. It seems so unfair when other people are able to have children so easily.

I can make all those dates for a meet up (10th, 16th and 17th). Sorry for not saying earlier but I've only just got back home to check the calendar. Brum is quite far from me so a London meet up at some point would be good for me. I'm totally over-the-moon to be meeting up with Very soon, it's amazing to be able to build these relationships on the Internet isn't it?

Hi, still here, have weighed myself today and have lost half a stone! Gone from 16st to 15.5ish. Been following all the advice and having LOTS of water - got the mental image of the water filling up the fat cells and the WHOOSH. Possibly not quite right but it's working for me 😊
I picked up my new bike today - doing the cycle to work scheme - and have ridden to my grandma's and back. Very excited about it! It's a 'vintage'styoe one so I'm sat upright and it feels really safe riding like that. This WOE is making me feel great too.
I don't feel like I 'know' any of you yet but to those of you having a crap time.

Forgot to mention one major achievement - DP has finally accepted how I'm eating and has made steak in creamy mushroom sauce with mashed root veg for tea! It's only taken three years to get him to stop going on about how everyone needs a bit of bread or potato sometimes 😂

Heman no, no you're fine. DP can no longer have children and wouldn't want any more, anyway. As for me, who knows? But I've never wanted to be an older mother so, in some ways, wouldn't want one after a year or two anyway. (No offence to anyone who is one, and I know I've just had a bad experience, but I wouldn't be comfortable putting a child in the position I was in.)

I won't mention it to my mother but she's likely to hear anyway, so it will be mentioned to me.

Oh Time . Does your DP have children from a previous relationship? I'm a stepmum. I think you have two separate issues here - your feelings about having a child and your DP. And the relationship you have with your Mum/your childhood. Honestly, I'd start a thread in Relationships to get much broader and more experienced opinions to talk it through. It'll be fine. We'll be there .

I've had a NSV moment today - went to the dive place to borrow a life jacket and she handed me a small 😮😆😆😂. I'm still teetering on overweight BMI at 10.12 so was lovely to automatically be classed as small. 🙂

Whole bar of dark choc. Whole bar. Now have a headache and feel crap. I hate AF.

Just had my first non low carb dinner of the holiday - Japanese restaurant - was lovely so I had a small piece of sushi with rice and a tiny amount of rice in my main course. Was lovely and really really small amounts of non low carb friendly food 🙂

Since HeMan mentioned her elevens I have been researching Botox and facelifts.

herman I used to get horrendous cysts along my jawline after having my son. They would take months to heal and leave bad scars it was really distressing. Started using la Roche posay effaclar duo cream as an area treatment and skin is pretty much spot free.

Sorry can't do meet up as in London. Would the London ladies be interested to get together?

I'm happy to do a London meet up too, it's quite easy on the train for me and sometimes I do miss London, lived there for several years before property prices drove us up to the Midlands!

Feeling shit - I loathe AF. But my size 14 tops fit and my size 16 jeans went on just couldn't button them up. So that felt good. A nice target to work towards.

I've been doing fasts most days and find it quite easy. I don't even seem remember the times when I would sit down and rush my breakfast before setting off for my commute. It really simplified my morning routine ( nursery run every morning is hectic enough )

How is everyone?

I did stick to the whole 10 weeks, but was on holiday for the last so feel as if I've missed out on the final week.
Was there a party? A celebration party? wink

I just wanted to say thankyou to BIWI and everybody else for supporting me on this bootcamp.
It's been a revelation.

I've never eaten such tasty food in my life.
My carbs have crept up a bit, and I've been cutting down on fat to compensate and surprise, surprise, the food doesn't taste so good sad
So I am going to start low carbing again fairly soon, because
a) The food is tastier when fat is added.
b) I feel healthier on LCHF woe.
c) For the first time in over 10 years, I finally managed to go below my 'stall point', weight wise.

My plan is this.
I'm going to proceed for the remainder of summer on a low (ish) carb diet, but I won't be too strict with myself.
Then I will be rejoining you lovely lot on the next bootcamp, to keep me on the straight and narrow.
