Morning all. Very excited to hear the final scores!

Here's the Spreadsheet for its last outing this Bootcamp

We'll keep this chat thread going, and when it finishes, we'll start a new one so that we can keep the support going until next Bootcamp.

heman, I know, I was really cross. We were happy to split a bill even though DH and I only drank tap water, and neither of us had desert, even though the other 8 between them had 6 bottles of wine, several pints, several G&Ts, at least 4 deserts, and a couple of liqueurs. Then one of them thought I should pay for a second meal because they had eaten the first one! Tbf, one of the women has texted me this morning to apologise for the bill debacle, she said she was mortified and thought I'd been really nice about it.

MOIST · 06/08/2017 14:37

My eggs are enormous. Huge double yolkers (I have a huge egg source!) does that count as 1 egg or 2?
I just ate 2 of them mushed up with cream cheese for lunch.

YoLoZammo · 06/08/2017 14:47

Can someone post the cream cheese pancake recipe. I can't find it. Made some last week by guessing the recipe and they were disastrous.

Mrsmartell08 · 06/08/2017 14:49

Anyone tried the banana and egg pancake?

secretsignal · 06/08/2017 15:48

Thanks for posting the rules old. One tablespoon of butter per egg?? That's a lot of butter.

OldBooks · 06/08/2017 15:53

mrsmartell most of us avoid banana as it is too carby/sugary. But banana pancakes were a fave of mine pre BC.

Secret I know it seems loads but it's why we will feel full

ragz134 · 06/08/2017 16:05

Some lovely looking recipes on the Ibreatheimhungry blog, we won't get bored too quickly. Hoping to get my DSis to join me.
BBQ this afternoon so I'll have my fill of meat (ooo err) to get me through the week!

ilovecherries · 06/08/2017 16:32

I know that my happiness, self esteem etc etc shouldn't be dictated by the label inside my trousers. But......I've just bought these in a 14, www.wallis.co.uk/en/wluk/product/berry-side-zip-skinny-trouser-6820951?bi=0&ps=20&Ntt=Side%20zip%20trousers and they fit perfectly, the zip just glided up. After years of wearing a 22 this feels pretty damn awesome. We won't mention my persistent K cup boobs though - I was a tad depressed the other day when I was cruising a plastic surgery site to discover that while I can expect my back size to go down via weight loss it's very common for actual breast size not to change to any significant degree.

StuntNun · 06/08/2017 16:48

Secret the macros for the egg fast are ultra low carb, low protein and very high fat. It's incredibly satiating, I only ate 7 eggs on the second and third days which kept my calorie intake lower than usual.

OldBooks · 06/08/2017 16:49

Great NSV ilove! I am hoping the egg fast will let me zip up my new size 16 jeans. Regarding breasts as I understand it some of their size is fat but the rest is tissue. If you have lost all the fat off them then the rest isn't going anywhere. At that point, if they are a problem, surgery is the only option.

Ragz enjoy your meat snigger. I am trying to eat up all fresh veg that DH won't touch - roast courgette and leek for lunch, and a medley of spinach, celery, courgette and a few tomatoes is in the slow cooker.

YoLoZammo · 06/08/2017 16:56

I've just realised I have a fridge jam packed with fresh veg including some beautiful chard and a crispy Savoy cabbage I can't wait to eat. And I have a massive joint in the oven which will feed us for at least 3 days. Cannot waste all that food and it won't keep. I will have to do 2 meals per day that are eggy and have veg and meat for dinner. But I can probably do that all week instead of my planned 3 days. So I will be doing a semi-egg-fast.

StuntNun · 06/08/2017 17:01

Tbh YoLo that sounds like a good idea. I worry that the protein intake on the egg fast is below optimal. Two meals of eggs and one of meat and low carb veggies might actually be a better method. The original egg fast was designed for a diabetic (Jimmy Moore of Livin la Vida Low Carb) who was struggling to lose weight on a standard LCHF approach.

Distractotron · 06/08/2017 17:50

I've started my egg fast today. I had lotd in an6way and tbh the simplicity really appeals to me - 5 days of not having to think of what to feed myself, great!
I don't like fried or boiled eggs but am happy to eat omelettes so long as they don't just taste of egg. I weighed out 6oz of cheese this morning and thought it was a lot, definitely enough for omelettes all day! About to have my 3rd. I'll have had 10 eggs today 🙊

StuntNun · 06/08/2017 18:01

Distract you don't need to eat any cheese unless you want to on the egg fast.

Distractotron · 06/08/2017 18:28

I need the cheese to stop the eggs being eggy though! Just surprised by how much I was allowed.
I've actually had 11 eggs today. Been on 2 shortish bike rides so been very hungry. Now very full!

oatcakesandcheeseplease · 06/08/2017 19:10

Hi everyone I'm in at the wrong time - too late! Hi I'm thinking of doing low carb - I've been reading through the boot camp threads and wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction of what to do - Id like to get cracking on it as soon I can. When is the next boot camp starting?

In two years I have put on two stone. I really hate that I'm two stone overweight, I'm fat, matronly, my clothes don't fit and i feel unhealthy. BUT I can't seem to find diet plan that suits me, so instead try to eat a healthy diet. I've been cutting out bread, wheat, sugar and over processed foods as they seem to make my Ibs worse and give me acid reflux At least if I can't diet and lose weight I can be healthy and fat. I did lose weight with weight watcher years ago ( and I put it on again!) but I hate the thought of faffing around with points again

Any thoughts, advice etc would welcome

C4pinkwheels · 06/08/2017 19:28

I will be doing the egg fast from tomorrow and here's some bunny porn with my unique bedside trolley in the background

MOIST · 06/08/2017 20:01

Bunny!!!!! Easter Smile. He's lovely.

wombattoo · 06/08/2017 20:11

Welcome oatcakes. In the first post on the thread, BIWI has linked to a spreadsheet. On the bottom of the spreadsheet are tabs which contain the rules and some useful reading.
Ask any question you may have and good luck Thanks

FinallyHere · 06/08/2017 20:12

Welcome oatcakes and welcome to this way of eating (woe)

Have you found the spreadsheet, which is linked to in the first post on each thread. It contains everything you need in order to get started, with bootcamp low carb high fat. After years of hating myself for only ever gaining weight, this woe has been a revelation for me.

Feel free to ask anything that occurs to you, there are plenty of people with lots of knowledge and experience and willingness to help. There are lots of us who keep going between bootcamps, so you can join in and start whenever works for you. Sooner the better, see how much impact you can have before the next bootcamp even starts.

wombattoo · 06/08/2017 20:13

Oh and the next boot camp is likely to start in October, but we will be here chatting and keeping on keeping on.

oatcakesandcheeseplease · 06/08/2017 20:35

Ooh thanks for the lovely welcome Wombattoo and Finallyhere - good name!
I've found the spreadsheet and will have a good read of it and a good think, I'll come back with any questions I've got. I've ordered the John biffa book and aGary taubes one too. X

C4pinkwheels · 06/08/2017 20:38

Welcome oatcakes everyone here is lovely, if slightly bonkers but this WOE messes with you head for sure.

OldBooks · 06/08/2017 20:39

Welcome oatcakes, there will be a few of us keeping going on this thread so do ask us any questions and share your experiences! And you will have to change your name, oatcakes are a no but cheese thank gods most certainly isn't! Grin
