oldbooks ouch, hope DD , and all of you, now OK.

ilovecherries 'Honestly, my life is transformed.' I so recognise what you say. I was so used to eating to prevent myself from becoming hungry, as bad things happened when I was hungry. Now, I regularly skip breakfast and the world has not ended. Infact, I have on occasion, gone 24hrs without eating and only had a normal sized meal to break that fast. Such bliss.

prettybird · 26/07/2017 21:59

Grah - I think you need to correct the typos in your post as at the moment it reads the opposite of what I think you are trying to explain GrinWink

re fuel for running you need to check out Prof Tim Noakes,
runner of 70+ marathons and expert in the field of HCLF v LCHF.. Trying to prove HCLF is best, he converted to LCHF and is now a very strong advocate against his own and other HCLF science.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 26/07/2017 22:24

ilovecherries I hadnt realised you were so low before you started Bootcamp. Glad you're here.

I haven't had Keto Itch, but have been officially diagnosed with "Itchy Vulva." Yes, it's a thing. FML. Hmm

HemanOrSheRa · 26/07/2017 22:29

Ah crap OldBooks. I hope your DD is OK Sad. I have spent much time at the walk in centre with DS. So much so that the nurses say hello and we have a little chat in ASDA because we think we know each other BlushGrin. I can tell you one of The Worst Days Of My Life Stories (with DS) if you like Grin.

starsky22 · 26/07/2017 22:35

ilovecherries the report I read said that according to surveys the population is generally following the nhs guidance on eating healthy, but that 25% are obese and diabetes has doubled, so clearly it's not working! When are they going to accept that they got it wrong with the whole low fat thing?

Today I have had a full fat day:
B fasting
L chicken thighs, mushroom cream sauce, celeriac & runner beans
D sausage & mushroom courgetti with butter & parmesan

HemanOrSheRa · 26/07/2017 22:41

Your linky doesn't work @FinallyHere.

OldBooks · 26/07/2017 23:15

Thanks all, home now all glued up. Heman it wasn't terrible, we knew she was ok, just needed the wound checking out. But you sound like you have some stories from the coal face of parenting Grin

HemanOrSheRa · 26/07/2017 23:37

Glad your DD is OK OldBooks Smile.

Hehe. Yes . DS is a physical child Confused. And my darling Stepdaughters have put me through my paces Grin.

laurelstar · 27/07/2017 01:21

Hi everyone and well done on all your amazing weight loss success so far. Can I ask what your best tips are for food on the go? I work shifts, commute, rush to other commitments/clubs and and always seem to be eating on the go, so the lovely casserole-dish LCHF dinners are tricky.
Thank you!

Veryflummoxed · 27/07/2017 05:22

Laurel my foods on the go are
leftover meat
Ham and cream cheese roll ups
Boiled eggs
Frittata/egg muffins
Celery with cream cheese (or occasionally small quantity peanut butter)
Cucumber/ cherry toms/green peppers/mangetout
Olives
Cheese
Pork scratchings
Pepperami
Occasional nuts
Occasional berries.
Ff Greek yogurt
Mixed salad
Tuna mayo
Tub of leftovers (I find cold curry surprisingly enjoyable)

ragz134 · 27/07/2017 07:10

I did not eat well yesterday!
Lunch - protein roll with cheese. Peanuts.
Dinner - a lot of double cream. Peanuts. Square of dark chocolate and a few spoons of peanut butter.
Didn't get home until gone 8 and I CBA to cook. But that really is appalling. I promise to have a proper dinner tonight...

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 27/07/2017 08:22

Nameless I'm a runner, I run anything up to half marathon distance. My times have improved and I don't get that bone aching tiredness and hunger after a long run now. I find core work also improves your speed.

Food for today:
B - eggs & chicken
L - will be at my DM's and she makes a fabby salad, so will probably be salad of some kind
D - cobb salad, made BC friendly - shallots instead of onion, hold the beetroot.

Yes I'm aware that's a lot of chicken, haha.

NamelessEnsign · 27/07/2017 08:46

Thanks hippo, thanks grah.

I'm finally having some physio today as I'm pretty sure my SI joints and thoracic vertebrae are locked out of position - a fairly common occurrence with my hypermobility. This definitely impacts on my speed and power (and pain) so hopefully I will see my times increase again. I did a lot of running last year and was quite fit so maybe I am expecting too much!

ASDismynormality · 27/07/2017 08:52

The NHS does advocate a LCHF diet as part of its national diabetes prevention program. At the moment the message is only reaching a very small minority and we are being told if you have pre-diabetes the standard NHS guidelines are not for us. Really the NHS guidelines need to be changed for all! Also the program needs to reach more people, the fact they run the classes during the day on weekdays really limits the audience, in the class I attend all but two of us are retired! We all need an early education in diabetes prevention.

MOIST · 27/07/2017 09:01

Morning all.

I'm off shopping for nice stuff. Cauliflower cheese for dinner I think.

Bit of crochet, walk woofers, choir and roller derby.

I need a derby name. I'm thinking Namaste Bitch has a ring to it Grin

ASDismynormality · 27/07/2017 09:06

MOIST. Namaste Bitch is a perfect roller derby name!

FinallyHere · 27/07/2017 09:09

ASDismynormality · 27/07/2017 09:11

ASDismynormality · 27/07/2017 09:12

laurelstar · 27/07/2017 09:21

Thank you very, great ideas for food on the go!

ClearEyesFullHearts · 27/07/2017 09:55

I need a derby name. I'm thinking Namaste Bitch has a ring to it

Sublime. Grin

FinallyHere · 27/07/2017 10:02

Thank you ASD I would have been interested in that one, the challenge along the Thames on 9th Sept, but have just signed up for a week's preparation for the Shine 2017 in September which starts the same day as that walk so will miss it

I'm hoping to join the about 10miles walk on 1st October2017, and looking for anyone else who might be interested. No idea what is wrong with my links, they work for me OK but that really isn't the point of posting here...

New low number seen on the scales today! Lightest I’ve been all year! 7lbs lost in 10 weeks which is loads for me as I only have a stone to lose and, let’s face it, it wasn’t happening before!

Whoop whoop!
