Morning campers

Here's the spreadsheet

So we start our last two weeks. Let's get really focused - think about the food you're eating, pinpoint any carb creep and eliminate that cheating!

If it helps, post what you're eating each day. Or even consider going back to strict Bootcamp for the last fortnight!

Flowers

Good luck to everyone

@ilovecherries - I feel your pain! And I hope very much that the hotel were able to make you a lovely, low carb fry up this morning

User - one of the good things about Boot Camp is the support we all give to each other that and BIWI's Big Stick Wink, so make the most of it and be kind to yourself. Don't beat yourself up (BIWI only brings the big stick out when necessary - and it's also worth reminding those that might not be aware but BIWI is an acronym of her old name "BecauseImWorthIt" - and we all are Grin)

I'm just in from a meal with dh and ds at our favourite Italian restaurant (Sarti's, for anyone who knows Glasgow). Unfortunately I ended up having an Italian sausage pizza and some complementary garlic focaccia as they didn't have any plain meat dishes that I fancied. But I only had half of it (dh and ds both like cold pizza Confused and will have it in the morning) and I opted to drive so only had water while dh had a glass of wine.

So hopefully I've minimised the damage Smile

Liking the explanation of BIWI , we are, indeed worth it. #namastebitches

ilovecherries · 20/07/2017 22:39

Ohhh. Sarti's. I used to LOVE it there. Happy memories. Now live on the side of a mountain (well, feels like that!) in the Lake District.

ilovecherries · 20/07/2017 22:55

Food today
B: leftover veg curry
L: eggs benedict (no muffin, obviously!)
D: sautéed veg (squeaky beans, asparagus, green pepper, spinach, mushrooms) with Parmesan cheese shavings; 6 raspberries and a teaspoon of clotted cream.

YoLoZammo · 20/07/2017 22:58

You folk are hilarious. C4 , Sayrra and ClearEyes you've had me cracking up this evening. Grin

User post your food diary and some photos to show portion sizes and no doubt BIWI can offer you some helpful advice. We are all here for you
Fwiw I didn't really lose much after the first 2 weeks until last week. So a massive mid bc stall. I koko ed and the thing I think thst moved me back into weight loss was starting to exercise. I have physical issues that made me think I couldn't. I pushed past those and did it anyway and guess what, it wasnt as bad as i thought. I have a rest day after a gym day and I'm not in half as much pain as I imagined i would be. I'm pushing myself gently bit by bit and I'm not dead yet! Also doing easy stuff at home. 7 minute workout app. Pilates videos on YouTube. Etc.

BIWI · 20/07/2017 23:05

Sorry I'm MIA. Working in Bordeaux today and tomorrow (it's a tough job😀). And DH is coming out to join me for the rest of the weekend. No time to post and probably won't get much time this weekend

Well done cherries!

Had a leftovers day:
B 2 sausages
L goats cheese frittata
D chicken satay curry with veg
Plus an almond milk Iced latte with sf caramel syrup, was lush!

Veryflummoxed · 21/07/2017 07:16

Morning all. Because everything is very hectic at the moment our food is not being as well planned as usual. Also I'm feeling quite queasy, (I think the pain killers but happily I'm taken far fewer now. )I'm sticking to it but looking for a quick filling alternative to coffee with cream. Several of you have posted about drinks made with almond milk, chai lattes and hot chocolates etc. If anyone could post me any method I'd appreciate it.

OldBooks · 21/07/2017 07:31

flummoxed I heat almond milk in the microwave, add a teaspoon of bournville cocoa powder and a dash of cream if available. It's a satisfying dessert in the evenings but would be a nice morning drink too.

PP who are struggling, not seeing any change on the scales etc, just koko. Trust the WOE. I am back to 15.9 stone this morning but have been yoyoing to 15.11. I still look better and people are commenting. Don't get hung up on the scales.

OldBooks · 21/07/2017 08:11

Right stupid question alert: if I started BC at 16.5 stone and I am now 15.9 stone how much have I lost Confused

littlebillie · 21/07/2017 08:11

My order arrived from next in size 14 😃 however 98% is going back as well it's its poor quality. I have decided not to rush and I'm sure my wardrobe will change over time😃

secretsignal · 21/07/2017 08:22

14lb in a stone so 10lb. I think. Grin

bellalurgy · 21/07/2017 08:24

old 10lbs Grin

Veryflummoxed · 21/07/2017 08:26

Yes Old ten pounds and well done. Also thanks for the hot chocolate recipe.

OldBooks · 21/07/2017 08:35

Hurrah! Chuffed with that Grin thanks for the maths help Blush it wasn't a humblebrag, promise!

Billie size 14 how exciting!

ilovecherries · 21/07/2017 08:36

It depends old. Are you using decimals i.e. does your 16.5 mean 16 and a half stone. In which case it represents 16 stone and seven pounds. Or are you meaning 16.5 is 16 stone and 5 lbs? Same with the lower weight. If you aren't sure, and it isn't always clear from the scales, I just turn the setttings to lbs. my last set of scales did it in decimals, current ones use stones and pounds, which is much clearer.

OldBooks · 21/07/2017 08:40

I mean 16 stone 5 lbs cherries

StuntNun · 21/07/2017 09:23

Sorry I've dropped off the thread, I'll try and catch up. In the meantime had anyone tried this pork crackling crumb? I was hoping it could be used instead of breadcrumbs but it's more like croutons.

Week 9 - Summer Low Carb Bootcamp - let's get focused!
boatgirl81 · 21/07/2017 09:26

Hi all, hope all going well. Sorry for those feeling down. Just want to echo what the others have said though, if you keep at it and follow the rules the weight should come off.
I started at 12 stone 4.5 and a bmi of around 37, am only tiny in height so that weight had me at an 18-20. I am now just under the 10 stone mark with a bmi of around 29, still a way to go to get under 25 but am plugging away. Just got measure for bras and have gone from 40f to a 36c since the end of Feb this year.

Advice please, going on hols tomorrow but staying with friends in their huge house! Have offered to cook some nights so can control that and bbq's are easy. Prosecco and White Wine will be had but will be fairly sensible as have a 1 year old but they have asked if we can have a chinese tomorrow night. What is the best thing I can order for damage limitation please? I was thinking duck wraps but leave the pancakes, but stuck for the main event.

JiminnyCricket · 21/07/2017 09:31

I think a day of daft NSV's is most definately in order Grin

  1. Getting in and out of a sports bra no longer requires new age interpretive dance moves to get the strong elastic over my back fat...
  1. I no longer make an involuntary "oooooerghf" sound when i stand up/ sit down/ get to the top of the stairs
  1. I can see my feet when i shower Grin
  1. I fit between 2 parked cars forwards rather than sideways
  1. During.. um... bedroom gymnastics I can now get my feet behind my head like I could back when I was 17 Grin
  1. I can get in the toilet stalls at work without negotiating myself around the toilet in order to close the door
  1. I've apprently stopped snoring

So I had a KFC last night for dinner and I'm not even a little bit sorry Grin I had 4 hotwings and 4 mini fillets because for the first time in ages I was actually hungry and really bloody fancied KFC! It didn't lead to a full on binge, I didn't have anything else all evening so I'm not feeling any kind of guilt around it at all.

Thanks for bearing with me the last couple of weeks, I'm coming out of the fog now and the fluoxitine has kicked in. I feel SO much better and my anxiety is well and truly under control. The work mistake I made that triggered everything in the first place has blown over, and to be honest I think that was just the straw that broke the camels back, the general build up of work stress etc was probably the cause.

My week off next week is going to be awesome. I've taken your advice and planned it out so I don't get thrown off track by the lack of routine. Plan is:

Tonight: Double gym hell session
Sat: Absolutely gut the house, clean every bloody room top to bottom so it resembles a house instead of a student den.
Sunday: Lazy day at home, dog walk
Monday: WEDDING DRESS SHOPPING (AAAARGH!!!) Gym in the evening
Tuesday: Gardening and dog walk
Wednesday: Double gym (morning and night) then lazy day
Thursday: Long dog walk somewhere new
Friday: Pamper day then I'm off to a hen do in the evening.
Saturday: My cousins wedding all day and staying overnight
Sunday: Driving home from the wedding then chill at home.

prettybird · 21/07/2017 09:38

Never tried that pork crackling crumb stuntnun - but I make a successful "breadcrumbs" for chicken nuggets from grated Parmesan, ground linseed/flaxseed mixture (sometimes use the stuff with Q10 in it), ground almonds, plenty of salt (and pepper) and a wee bit of mustard powder.

Dh and ds prefer it to Lidl's breadcrumbed goujons. Smile

YoLoZammo · 21/07/2017 09:46

Lol Jim at your NSVs. I share them too except for 5 and 7 because I'm on my own and the only bedroom gymnastics I get are chasing my toddler round the bed when he is evading getting dressed! They did make me laugh.

Have a lovely week off.

MOIST · 21/07/2017 10:18

How do I cook pork belly slices? The pack says to grill but should I fry?

ilovecherries · 21/07/2017 10:19

Today I am wearing a silk shell top tucked into my trousers, for the first time in a decade. This is because:

A) there is actually room in my trousers and I don't have to undo the button
B) my top belly is now much smaller than my chest
C) my camel toe appears to have fucked right off (probably has hashtag potential)
D) my top is far too big round the waist
E) I just generally feel amazing. I think I probably have rose tinted specs and in my mind I'm skinny, whereas other people are still going 'would you look at the size of her'.

I picked up a 7.5 kettle bell thingy in the gym today and thought 'bloody hell, a few weeks ago I was carry this around 24/7. No wonder I was always knackered!'

prettybird · 21/07/2017 10:38

Re the kettle bell image, I like to picture packs of butter fat that are no longer on me. I'm currently at 26 x 250g packs of Lurpak Grin
