Morning campers

Here's the spreadsheet

So we start our last two weeks. Let's get really focused - think about the food you're eating, pinpoint any carb creep and eliminate that cheating!

If it helps, post what you're eating each day. Or even consider going back to strict Bootcamp for the last fortnight!

Flowers

Good luck to everyone

@ilovecherries - I feel your pain! And I hope very much that the hotel were able to make you a lovely, low carb fry up this morning

C4 I wish I had your quick thinking and assertiveness. I would never have been able to think of something to say to that woman in that situation. Can't believe someone would be so rude.

Jim Being out of routine is always hard. I would plan something to do each day, so it's like being out at work but more fun! It's being home I find hard eating wise.

Adalind Sorry to see you stop. I kind of know what you mean though - I feel a bit limited too. There are lots of lovely things to eat but it's the knowing there are things I can't have. It's not going to be sustainable for me long term either; but reduced carbs is! Completely agree with Shasta.

Ilove Now that is a good amount of cream to have with coffee! Congratulations on the milestone.

Prettybird That all sounds amazing. It is making me hungry. Luckily DH is making us lunch before he goes to work.

prettybird · 19/07/2017 13:50

I apparently grew an inch after having ds ShockConfused

Suspect the reason was more to do with Pilates improving my posture Grin

Have also now gone through the menopause so I should re measure myself forlorn hope that I'll have gained another inch to improve my BMI thresholds Wink

Imstyledilemma · 19/07/2017 13:56

pretty My feet seem to be getting bigger.
I used to have really narrow feet with normal sized toes.
Now they look bigger and the toes have gone to look like fat little sausages!
No more dainty feet for me Sad

ClearEyesFullHearts · 19/07/2017 14:44

ilovecherries try Pilates or Alexander technique to combat the loss of height.

Veryflummoxed · 19/07/2017 15:00

Cherries that's fantastic
Ragz you look very slender in your scrubs, and well done
C4 that just leaves me speechless and Grinto your response

Bibs2014 · 19/07/2017 17:12

Pret also do pouring cream for coffee!

JiminnyCricket · 19/07/2017 17:19

A routine sounds like a plan. I'v set up a day out with my mum, either a walk if the weather is good or (GULP) wedding dress shopping if it's not (eek!) on Monday.

Tuesday I'm having a day in and plan to crack on with some bunting making for the wedding or something else crafty.

Wednesday DP is home so we're off to the registry office to give notice and get all that sorted and will probably go out for lunch Grin

Thursday and friday will be long dog walks and the weekend should be manageable because I'm used to the weekends. I clean the house usually and walk the dogs then chill.

I laughed at myself today. Last time I had a week off was January and back then I was on weight watchers. I was worried about my week off and convinced I'd binge all week i did... now I'm worried because with my lack of hunger the way it is at the moment, I'm more worried about not eating and not having the energy to go to the gym Grin

How life changes eh?

Had hunger pangs just after before lunch today so decided i would go to Tesco and grab some chicken off the hot counter but by the time I looked up from my work it was nearly 2pm and it had passed Angry

Last night though I ate a chicken breast with chorizo, tomato paste and cheese on it (ready made from Morrisons), half a celeriac done in the actifryer AND some steamed veggies with butter on them. It was a proper sized dinner for the first time in ages so i think things are improving. It's pork belly tonight and I'll be fresh out of the gym so should go down well too Grin

secretsignal · 19/07/2017 18:29

Aargh! Cookie mixture is so tempting! Must. Be. Strong.

ShastaBeast · 19/07/2017 18:56

Ooo pret too, their crayfish and avocado salad is a good in an emergency.

Last day of term and feeling very emotional. Bloody SN means everything is heightened.

I need to get shopping for being home with kids so much. I struggle without routine too. Getting to the gym will be a struggle. Considering asking DH to work at home do I can sneak off during his 'lunch break'.

secretsignal · 19/07/2017 19:08

Congratulations on your weigh in cherries, great news!

Naschkatze · 19/07/2017 19:47

Food, while I remember.
B - Greek yoghurt, cup of tea.
S - coffee, macadamia nuts
L - Chicken with herb butter, kale and roasted swede.
D - None yet. Might make some courgetti to have with the last of the chicken and pesto.

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 19/07/2017 19:58

ilovecherries Great Number -Congratulations. Will be chasing you on the next target. only 8lb+plus water behind you.

Ragz Great NSV those large bottoms look EXTREMELY baggy. better be a good knot on them.

Adalind have fun, hope you find the right portion control to reach your healthy weight for the amount of money your willing to spend on your health. FYI once you get to you goal weight range it will be cheaper and easier on your other health related expenses.

JiminnyCricket How about planning on screwing up. Plan exactly how your going to defeat yourself and sabotage your goals. Work out the method on which you can completely prove your January Hypothesis that this won't work for you.

Then look at all the action points that have to happen for you to ensure failure and ask yourself are you really really that person? forcing yourself to fail???
From your posts you don't sound like it. You sound goal orientated and very meticulous in planning/researching what you want to achieve. Look to your own strengths and not the weakness. You have been doing LCHF for 200 days ( from1st Jan) and doing great. for 99.9% of it don't SWEAT THE .1% . Look in the mirror look at the xmas pictures, it's not marketing hype you ARE SUCCEEDING.

I bet you could even give yourself a kick up the bum for being so silly as to worry about not being you, now.

YoLoZammo · 19/07/2017 20:08

I felt a bit weak with no energy today, which is understandable as I'm on Day 3 of fairly strict bootcamp to try and get back on track.

I have no idea why you would have been feeling weak today, given what you've eaten? And you're certainly not on strict Bootcamp. Banana?! FFS that really isn't strict Bootcamp. It isn't even Bootcamp Light!

I needed to go out and about and get loads of stuff done so I played safe and had a few bites of banana beforehand and I have to say, my head cleared in seconds and I had tons of energy, even though that energy only lasted about an hour, but it was long enough for me to do all my errands

I'm sorry but this sounds like a real excuse to me. You've been doing LC long enough for 'weakness' or lack of energy to not be a problem.

Why do you think you felt the need to do this?

BIWI · 19/07/2017 20:37

@AdalindSchade I'm sorry that you're giving up, with only half a week to go!

But more importantly, I'm sorry that you find this way of eating restrictive. Yes, it's restrictive in that you can't eat/have to restrict things like bread, pasta, rice - but it's much more flexible and enjoyable given that you can eat fat - butter, cheese, cream etc.

I totally get that as you're a veggie it's more difficult. But have a look at Rose Elliott's Low Carb Vegetarian Recipe book - loads of lovely recipes there.

@JiminnyCricket

It sounds like you have your appetite back! Hurrah.

I'm amazed that you haven't had a holiday since January, and I can't help wonder if this is partly the cause of your recent anxiety? Taking time off for yourself is really important.

In terms of your concerns about lack of structure - it's obvious really! You have to plan your holiday days. Just like you would your work days. Print out a blank calendar for the week, and then write in when you're going to the gym, when you're going to see your PT, when you're going to dog walk, etc.

JiminnyCricket · 19/07/2017 20:43

Well Wednesday can do one, I am done Grin

6:30am spin class, full day at work and then 6:30pm hell session followed by a very very welcome shower and a chunk of belly pork with some veg Grin

I'm absolutely knackered but in a good way Confused PT joined my session unexpectedly, she was supposed to be going home early but when I turned up she decided to train me for the half hour as a cheeky extra.. during a 60 second plank, the sadist dropped a 10k weight plate on my back for the last 30 seconds Angry apparently I looked too comfy Hmm she also gave me a medicine ball during an incline sit up and during my sled pull she decided it would be great fun to jump on the sled and make me pull her around the gym Hmm

I seem to have become something of an exotic curiosity to the other trainers too, it's like they've never seen an obese person work out before Grin i get lots of cheering on in sessions but they never patronise me and I really feel rooted for. I'm known as 'myptsname's transformer' and they all take an interest in my training which is cool. Like today during my overhead press, last time I saw the guy running the class I couldn't quite get 20kgs over my head, but today I was throwing it up from my legs and got a few reps out in 60 seconds. He came over and said he remembers me not being able to do it and he's sticking another 5kgs on it from next week because at this rate I'll be pressing 50's by Christmas Grin I asked my PT why they're all so interested and it's because transform is seen as a group achievement, so they judge the success of their gym by the transformations they create and im the 'biggest' transform project anyone there has ever undertaken so naturally they all have a vested interest in my success. It's building now because none of them thought I'd stick it out this long and now they've seen I'm actually not going to quit and I've increased my sessions they're getting excited Grin

Bit of pressure on me, but hey ho, if they can get me into a size 12 wedding dress I'll take all the pressure they want!

YoLoZammo · 19/07/2017 20:44

Lol. Was waiting for BIWI to notice that banana transgression style. Thought it might have slipped by. Fwiw, what you describe is a sugar rush. Followed by a crash when your blood sugar falls drastically afterward. Leaving you needing a pickmeup and feeling bleh. And so on. This is the cycle of sugar addiction. I speak as a recovering sugar addict!! Maybe we should rename bc into S.A.. sugarholics anonymous. Grin

JiminnyCricket · 19/07/2017 20:49

Thanks @BIWI I definitely think planning is the way forward. Yep, I ate all my dinner and seem to be hungry in the evening if not during the day. That could just be ketosis though, I don't really remember what it feels like to be properly hungry anymore but feeling like I could fancy something to eat has finally come back Smile I still don't want food until about 6pmish so still a way to go

Userwithoutaname · 19/07/2017 20:49

Forgot to add, a tiny avocado also for lunch.

MOIST · 19/07/2017 20:51

I'm beyond knackered.
Work insane busy.

Food

B. Nothing
L. 2 hard boiled eggs, olives, tuna mayo, grated cheese (all that I could eat from bloody work restaurant)
D. Too knackered. Maybe another egg if I can be arsed.

What a bloody week. Only good bit is no alcohol at all. And I could kill a gin and tonic but I'm now on-call so can't. And that makes me sad.

JiminnyCricket · 19/07/2017 20:53

And yep, no week off since January! Shock

I've had the odd day off and obviously bank holidays and Easter etc, but no week off since Jan and it's absolutely a contributing factor to my anxiety without question. We went through a work restructure and I got a new set of clients plus a new team to learn and manage all at the same time, so simply couldn't get away from work during the last few months for more than a day at a time. I've finally got some support on my accounts now though so I can breathe and have someone to hand over to if I take some time off.

I plan to spend the week just doing things that make me feel good Smile

Imstyledilemma · 19/07/2017 20:55

Yep. Well and truly rumbled. Grin
