Morning campers!

Here's the spreadsheet

Some good losses reported already this morning!

Four weeks left, so we could still see a good half stone disappear if we're vigilant.

The hot weather looks like it's disappearing this week, so hopefully anyone still struggling with water retention should find some relief.

But good luck to us all

Lol yolo!!! Oops!!!

I am avoiding dark chocolate. I love the 90% stuff but even with it being low carb even small amounts seem to stall me. It's very unfair. So i've banned it. I stop missing it if i don't eat it but if i eat small amounts i get bad cravings so in some ways it's never as bad cutting it out as i think it will be.

ShastaBeast · 27/06/2017 12:45

I'm actually going to the pregnancy ultrasound dept in a few weeks to locate my coil. I've been taking the pill since the coil was 'lost' and spotting, which is a sign it's probably in there. I never spotted in pregnancy and was much more sick than this so fingers crossed. I'm hoping hitting 35 = fertility falling off a cliff. I can't risk another pregnancy, my back is crippled after the last one - spinal surgery and permanent nerve damage. No one tells us these risks! If the coil isn't where it should be I'll be researching sterilisation.

The idea of eating fat is making me queasy. I might be a bit naughty and buy some vegetable crisps, not as carby but may settle my tummy. Better nip to the shop before the down pour.

Afternoon all

Thank you to whoever posted a pic of those Snackettes, (C4?) just had a bag of them with butter and a boursin - lovely

B: Fasting
L: Snackettes Crackers with butter and Boursin
S: Creamy coffee
D: Whatever I decide to do with a whole chicken, if anyone could offer some inspiration, it would be much appreciated.

PlymouthMaid1 · 27/06/2017 13:12

Kind of want to try the snackette things but they seem quite expensive so holding back for now. Have developed a liking for celery with stuff on though as it's nice and crunchy.

So far today I have had coffee with coconut oil and cream, 2 walnuts, salad, mayo and almond based quiche. Dinner will be tuna steak and pesto , those fried courgette things (mine were tasty but not pretty as the egg didn't stick to the courgettes at all really), and maybe swede chips.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 27/06/2017 13:19

ilovecherries a year is a big commitment! Very interesting.

I do know what you mean about feeling better, though.

OldBooks do you think it's the treat aspect for cheese and cream? What other treats could you have instead? Doesn't have to be food or drink.

Sometimes I have drink because I'm bored! Blush

nekobus · 27/06/2017 13:22

I've copied you cabbage and had snackettes with butter and Boursin- however they got a bit squished in transit (ordered online) so there wasn't any crackers just a pile of crunchy bits! Ate it with a spoon Grin

cabbage67 · 27/06/2017 13:23

Plymouth I agree they aren't cheap at £1.99 a bag, but I wanted to try them but don't think I'll bother again. Maybe i'll have ago at making some crackers myself... Diet Doctor has some recipes.

FinallyHere · 27/06/2017 14:38

Hello you very lovely, supportive people. I'm back from a fortnights holiday, really enjoyed my food, effortlessly kept LCHF. Decided in advance to have one ouzo (200ml) every evening [two litres in total(!)] and lost 1.4kgs.

Best of all, though, I really, really enjoyed myself and, for the first time ever, did not abandon any woe while on holiday and hence no guilt or remorse ( which tends to show up as poor DH getting it in the neck in a generalise grumble from me).

This makes LCHF unique in my experience and, well, just brilliant. Thank you all very kindly indeed.

OldBooks · 27/06/2017 14:45

cleareyes I know I could do any number of relaxing, self soothing activities ... Maybe when the DC are a bit bigger and I have more time/money/energy hollow laughter but atm having a square of dark choc is a quick easy and cheap treat!

dustmotesinthesun · 27/06/2017 15:07

Amazing finallyhere. Well done. Bet you ate some lovely food

Daisy62 · 27/06/2017 15:45

No weight loss since midweek last last week. Still total of just 5lb off since start of Bootcamp. Definitely looking better though and can fit into clothes that didn't fit last summer. Have been thinking about the NSV behavioural positives... I've really got on top of my sweet tooth, don't miss sweet stuff at all. I now try not to eat before I'm hungry... I used to feel anxious about the prospect of being hungry. My portion control is better too. All those things feel like positive lessons to take forward, even if I don't stick with LCHF beyond bootcamp.

C4pinkwheels · 27/06/2017 15:48

Hello lovely bootees,

I've been at the hospital all day

Jim I hope your dad makes a speedy recovery.

Glad people are enjoying snackettes, they really fill the crunch gap.

Food today:

B two slices of Edam, small piece of chicken
Tea with almond milk

L coffee with cream
Salad, half avocado, lettuce, cucumber, celery, 2 eggs and small piece of chicken, mayonnaise

Coffee with cream

D duck breast & roast veg

cabbage67 · 27/06/2017 16:09

Nekobus mine too were all broken up. I ended up picking up loads of broken bits and just sticking them in the Boursin and shovelling them in my gob. I was so hungry I didn't even sit down and the dog stood there and hoovered up all the crumbs

L238 · 27/06/2017 16:35

I'm so intrigued by these snackettes - ordered some from Ocado that'll arrive tomorrow. They are expensive though so will be searching for recipes. cabbage let us know how you get on with your experiments!
I managed not to order any Oppo ice cream though - that slope is too slippery for me!

C4pinkwheels · 27/06/2017 16:48

NSV here, I've been to collect my new spinal brace so I'm attaching a photograph of the old and new together and the new one inside the old one.

Well done C4! Proof if ever there was

I just bought 7 avocados for 10p each. Wish I could have got more but ds doesn't like them! Avocado on the menu forevermore

starsky22 · 27/06/2017 16:59

Finally that is an amazing weight loss whilst on holiday, so glad that you enjoyed yourself and stuck to this woe. I'm out for dinner this week and worried about sticking to it for just 1 night!

Today:
B bacon & fried egg
L tuna mayo salad and salmon & cream cheese rollups
D cod & creamed leeks

FinallyHere · 27/06/2017 17:07

Daisy used to feel anxious about the prospect of being hungry

Isn't it just the best feeling, to have slipped the shackles of eating 'incase' we get hungry and risking overeating.

Lovely to see such tangible evidence of the current C4 fitting inside the previous one.

secretsignal · 27/06/2017 17:18

C4 there is a huge difference between those braces, great progress!!
I am also avoiding crackers, 'bread' and ice cream, too much temptation! NSV, made cakes with the kids and didn't eat any mixture, I'm not bothered about the finished article but the mixture is so tempting. Everything went in soapy water double fast. Well done on avoiding the holiday binge finally !!

randomuntrainedcuntowner · 27/06/2017 17:35

2 weeks in now - 9lbs down, I know I am in deep ketosis but I am REALLY craving something Carby/bread/pudding like.

I went shopping and I have bought ground almonds, unsweetened desiccated coconut, 72% chocolate, cream cheese, coconut milk, cream etc

Any delicious recipes?!

Cherrypi · 27/06/2017 17:56

Well done secret I failed a sampled some and now my teeth feel terrible. Forgot to put sugar in the mix till the last minute. Low carb has taken over my brain ha ha.

Youcantscaremeihavechildren · 27/06/2017 17:59

Day 2 proper here although sort of day 4 if you ignore the gin on Sat night and I feel shocking! Tired, headachey, rotten.
NSV though as I avoided cake at work in the staff room, and avoided ALL of Lidl's bakery section.

B. Coffee and a boiled egg plus spinach
L. Roast chicken, roast veg (a couple of squares of sweet potato and carrot snuck in), lettuce leaves, tuna mayo and half avocado.
Also had a burger, no bun, as there was a barbecue for the kids leaving today. Didn't miss the bread weirdly.
D. Haven't had anything, donto really fancy it but have planned omelette with asparagus and spinach to have leftovers for breakfast.

Also had a tea with soya milk, plus a spoon of soya yoghurt as can't have dairy. Can't be sure this is ok though? I'm alright with small amounts of butter but yoghurt and milk are disastrous. Is soya ok or should I avoid having it?

I feel shite though and got such a busy few days, hope it doesn't last long.

PlymouthMaid1 · 27/06/2017 18:03

Cabbage, I tried making flax, seed crackers but they were disastrous. The took ages to cook and seemed crunchy but went floppy very quickly which is not a desired quality in anything is it ☺ . Also I found them very strong tasting although I know others like them. I would !ove to find a good cracker.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 27/06/2017 18:06

but atm having a square of dark choc is a quick easy and cheap treat

Fair enough, OldBooks. As long as what we are doing is working for us and making us happy, it's a win.

Naschkatze · 27/06/2017 18:21

Random have a look on the dessert section of the diet doctor site, there are some nice looking things on there.

I made a pudding for DH and I tonight as we are having a sort of date night in. Sugar free, low carb cheesecakes. Ground almond base, cream cheese and cream topping, strawberries and cherries, with some blitzed into a sauce. Sorry - can't say quantities, I guessed! Hopefully it will taste ok and we won't miss the sugar.

Food:
B - yoghurt
L- Salad leaves, pesto, avocado, and leftover fried courgette.
S - piece of cheese
D - Courgetti carbonara and cheesecake.
