Morning campers!

Here's the spreadsheet

Some good losses reported already this morning!

Four weeks left, so we could still see a good half stone disappear if we're vigilant.

The hot weather looks like it's disappearing this week, so hopefully anyone still struggling with water retention should find some relief.

But good luck to us all

Sorry cleareyes I hope I didn't sound dismissive. I do need to work on non-food ways of rewarding myself, relaxing and de-stressing. I just find that nothing else quite hits that spot but recognise that is to do with my perception and I can train myself out of it. Just you know, I can't sit and paint my nails or have a relaxing bath or go for a lovely walk if I need some me-time and to unwind. I have a 3 year old, I don't even get me-time when I poo Grin

C4pinkwheels · 27/06/2017 18:23

Ada my favourite avocado recipe is a very simple one - take half an avocado and scoop out a little bit of flesh, just enough to break an egg into it. Season, I like smoked paprika and a dash of Tabasco and then bake for twenty minutes in a moderate oven. Yummy I might have one tomorrow.

AdalindSchade · 27/06/2017 18:38

Ooh wow that sounds amazing. I may try one later!

StuntNun · 27/06/2017 18:47

Wow C4 that is a big difference between your braces. Was the old one getting uncomfortable with being too loose?

cabbage67 · 27/06/2017 18:49

I'm going to try low carb seed crackers from the diet doctor. Were they the ones Plymouth?

I will post the results, although I'm not too optimistic after the flax seed bread and keto muffins disappointment

C4pinkwheels · 27/06/2017 18:58

Stunt hi, yes the old one wasn't really doing a very good job of supporting the metal work that's been added to my spine in this latest surgery, I'm hoping that walking and generally being more active will be easier in this one. The old one had been adjusted three times since it was fitted in March but as my original cast was taken eight days after surgery I will have been very swollen from the 16hr op.

I'd really appreciate it if you could cast your expert eye over my food for the last couple of days and tell me if you think I'm doing the right thing, I'm frustrated at my slow weight loss.

randomuntrainedcuntowner · 27/06/2017 19:07

Wow I am making this: www.dietdoctor.com/recipes/keto-garlic-rosemary-foccacia and nobody can stop me! 😍

JiminnyCricket · 27/06/2017 19:17

I'm really struggling guys Sad

I've picked up stir fry veggies and half an aromatic duck for dinner Blush

I also picked a fight with DP earlier about his eating habits for no bloody reason and we NEVER fight Sad

I just feel frayed and a bit broken and I can't turn to food and it sucks really really badly Sad

I just want to eat all of the carbs and chocolate and crisps and hide in my bed until I can't breathe again and not want to scream.

How do I get trough this guys??

CodLiverOil556 · 27/06/2017 19:23

Try some clothes on (that didn't fit before) get yourself in front of a mirror and admire just how far you've come.

Drink some water and brush your teeth

StuntNun · 27/06/2017 19:39

What else can you do instead Jiminny? I really wanted wine so much tonight I could almost taste it. I had a Pepsi Max instead, in a nice glass with a straw so it felt like a treat. Perhaps still not a great coping strategy because of the sweeteners but better than having the wine. It worked really well actually. And I feel better for skipping the booze.

Asmoto · 27/06/2017 19:43

Agree with Kermit - try some clothes on, it's wonderfully motivating. What about a nice, soothing bath or shower during which you can admire the fact that you wobble less? Also, tell yourself that you can have the carbs but you are choosing not to. Finally, imagine how you'll feel tomorrow/at your next weigh-in if you do eat them - the fleeting pleasure of consuming them will be long-gone, and you'll be left with disappointment.

PlymouthMaid1 · 27/06/2017 19:53

Cabbage, nope that is a different recipe and seems to have more ingredients than my one so I will eagerly await your findings. I was very pleased with my flax bread though and even made cheese on toast with it last weekend

littlebillie · 27/06/2017 19:55

Plymouth maid I have made a variant of the flax bread and I can cut into a thin cracker style.

One cup of flaxseed
2 eggs
Tablespoon of mixed seeds
I tablespoon of coconut oil

Cook on gas mark 6 for 20 minutes cool and slice into cracker slices. I like it with almond butter!

ilovecherries · 27/06/2017 20:02

Today's food
Breakfast: fasting
Lunch: fresh sardines and salad
Dinner: steak, courgette, mushrooms and asparagus

I felt a bit 'snacky' and unsettled this afternoon, and thinking about it, I think my fat intake has slipped a bit the last few days. So still doing the LF part, just a bit remiss on the HF element. Have had lots of butter on dinner, and tomorrow going to focus on upping my fat a bit.

cabbage67 · 27/06/2017 20:03

Oh thats a good idea Plymouth I would never have thought of doing cheese on toast with the flax bread. I might have to give it another chance.

littlebillie · 27/06/2017 20:06

Style dilemma I got my Schweppes slimline in Bargain booze and they sell. Skinny beers 😃🍺🍸🥂

dustmotesinthesun · 27/06/2017 20:10

Jimminy are you still fasting? Cut that right back for now if so. You're stressed, you have emotional upheaval, you don't want to be asking too much of yourself
Second I would say plan as many low carb treats as you can. Make your favourite meals. Make sure you don't feel deprived. Eat a little more fruit if needs be just to relax on the rules a little until you feel stronger.
Alternatively some people would argue that emotional stress = cut right back and be even stricter so as not to feed your sugar dragon.
Do what is right for you basically. But eating something crap will make you feel good temporarily and then make you feel even more shit. That isn't what you want right now.

Just go gently with yourself. You can't be perfect. No one can.

C4pinkwheels · 27/06/2017 20:18

Jiminny don't you dare sabotage what you've achieved by eating the very things that have been making you miserable for your whole bloody life, you are worth so much more than a fucking doughnut and a packet of crack cocaine doritos. So go and scream, scream your fucking frustration, anger and misery out then eat your duck, feel virtuous, beautiful and fabulous and look at wedding dresses on Pinterest for the rest of the evening. Kiss the man that loved you anyway and tell him he better shape up because you're turning into one hot mamma and you will undoubtedly be getting a whole lot of attention from men who have nice eating habits. Then cuddle a basset hound or two.

Naschkatze · 27/06/2017 20:26

Jim I think C4 has got it spot on! Sorry you're feeling rubbish.

And C4 - I'm sorry I missed your photos earlier. The difference is amazing. You shouldn't be frustrated with your weight loss. You've got it all stacked against you and you're doing brilliantly!

ShastaBeast · 27/06/2017 20:29

C4 - don't worry too much about the slow down. I was good as gold for weeks and lost nothing - a single pound in five weeks. But I've whooshed it off the last two weeks with four pounds. Remember you aren't very overweight so it will be slower than for others or when you first started. Plus all the other stuff you've got going on. That brace looks really uncomfy, although I use a stretchy corset type thing if I'm walking far and it's such a relief for my tired muscles, like a big supportive hug. I'm finding the gym so helpful as walking is too painful.

ShastaBeast · 27/06/2017 20:32

Key to the flax seed crackers is getting it as thin as possible before cooking. Gets it much crisper. I might try bread tomorrow. I have flax seed, ground almonds and coconut flour to experiment with.

OldBooks · 27/06/2017 20:39

Jiminny I have nothing to add to C4's excellent advice except sometimes it helps to tell yourself you have just got to get through one minute. Then the next. Then the next. Just one minute. That's all.

What games are you playing on your new laptop? DH and I have just had a spree on the Steam sale and have started Total War: Warhammer. It's great so far. Got Fallout 4 & Stardew Valley too.

FinallyHere · 27/06/2017 20:41

Shasta 'the key to flaxseed crackers'

DH had produced a couple of batches of flaxseed crackers which i quite enjoyed... the he was away and i had a go at making them myself. What a nightmare, i found that the mixture stuck to everything and was just impossibly to do anything but 'pat' it into place. Not my finest hour. I haven,t felt i could ask for more, ever since i saw how difficult they are to make.

If anyone has a simple, foolproof way of doing it, I would love to know.

MOIST · 27/06/2017 20:43

Evening all.
Jim. Be gentle with yourself.

B. Cream coffee
L. Lettuce, spinach, celery, olives, cheese, 2 HB eggs. Yogurt, cream, berries.
D. Cauliflower cheese and fried aubergine.

MOIST · 27/06/2017 20:44

I'm knackered and on-call. I fear a 2am phonecall. Urgh.
