Evening all!

I'm starting this thread now as I have to leave early for work tomorrow. and I know how keen you'll all be to weigh-in first thing, so won't want to wait until I can get round to getting it up and running Grin

Here's the link to the lovely shiny new Spreadsheet of Fabulousness ]] for which many thanks, SayrraT.

Your name should be on it, but if it isn't, just add it at the bottom. Don't try and re-alphabetise the list - Sayrra or Wombattoo will do that later.

And don't touch the blue cells!!!

ASD get tasting it woman! I NEED to know if it's nice, i plan to bake some tonight Grin

Is that 6 or 12 portions?

JiminnyCricket · 25/05/2017 11:35

Oh also, did you add the eggs in all together? I'm planning to seporate the yolk and the white, whisk the whites up and add to see if it rises better, shall report back dutifully Grin

L238 · 25/05/2017 11:37

The carb flu is kicking in here Sad Feel a bit foggy headed, lethargic and have a horrid taste in my mouth. Will nip to Tesco and get some mint tea or something to see if I can take it away. Also feel a bit nauseated at the thought of food.

Managed a coffee w/ cream and one egg with mayo for breakfast. Have a tuna salad for lunch with more mayo and an oily dressing.
Dinner - probably steak, veggies, butter.

Definitely in ketosis - we have urine dipsticks at work so tried one yesterday. I know we're not meant to use them but was curious!

Flowers to everyone who's feeling rubbish too and have a fab time in Malta BIWI

CodLiverOil556 · 25/05/2017 11:42

So, was going to have an omelette for lunch but found a recipe for cloud eggs so had them instead and it's fabulous Grin also had mushrooms fried in coconut oil and they tasted great too.

Already have my chicken marinating for dinner and have made my cauliflower rice.

Starting to quite like this WOE

lisbapalea · 25/05/2017 11:43

Morning all,

I have just added myself to the bottom of the spreadsheet of fabulousness - will that work for the calculations?

I am making a chicken thigh, chorizo and cauliflower traybake for dinner tonight - really excited as I think it looks delicious as well as LC!

Have got tuna mayo salad for lunch, possibly with half an avocado to boost it into something more substantial.

lisbapalea · 25/05/2017 11:44

Also, I am tempted to make tandoori salmon fillets for dinner tomorrow, with a ff greek yog raita type thing, plus other veg.

Patak's tandoori paste is 10g carbs / 100g. If I only am using a spoonful or so, for both mine and dh's salmon, is that allowed?

AdalindSchade · 25/05/2017 11:47

Found a nut roast recipe that looks good for future www.includingcake.com/blog/2015/4/20/easy-low-carb-keto-nut-roast

I eat the cream cheese pancakes with lots of salt and pepper and a bit of Tabasco. Yum.

ASDismynormality · 25/05/2017 11:51

jiminny. I used the recipe from drop the sugar [http://www.dropthesugar.com/moist-low-carb-coconut-flour-bread/]. Not sure how many portions, I just dumped all the eggs in. Would probably be better if whisked. Will report back after lunch!

StuntNun · 25/05/2017 11:52

I fancy fathead pizza tonight but I don't have any ground almonds. I do have a packet of whole almonds though, can I just whizz them up in the food processor or do they need to be blanched first?

TheWayOfTheWorld · 25/05/2017 12:00

These courgette, feta and mint fritters look lovely:

lisbapalea · 25/05/2017 12:03

Ooh they look great! I am off to buy some feta now!

glenthebattleostrich · 25/05/2017 12:14

I almost didn't post today. I spectacularly fell off the wagon last night. Woke feeling bloated and awful and almost reached for the carbs. Then the dispatch confirmation for the small sized clothes I ordered came through and I'm back on the wagon. Huge thanks for that trip.

So, I'm going back to my not eating before 12. I'll still have my 3 meals, I'll just start a bit later.

So today, I am totally refocused. I have ordered pork scratchings (12 bags of posh pork scratchings for £10.41 on Amazon). I have some diced lamb shoulder marinading in spices to make kebabs, I've prepped burgers and I've cooked off some sausages.

Food will be:

B coyo
L tuna in philli with cucumber and lettuce
D lamb kebabs

I've already had 2 litres of water (so hot) so that's not a problem.

Reading this thread has got me back on track so huge thanks to you all.

bellalurgy · 25/05/2017 12:15

Afternoon Grin

Just had a lovely frittata for brunch - lots of leftovers used up. Loads left for brunch tomorrow (or a snack today!)

Will have greek yoghurt later if hungry and salmon for dinner.

Hope everyone's enjoying the lovely weather x

MOIST · 25/05/2017 12:32

A few questions.

Herb teas?

Herbs and spices?

Pesto?

And finally - light headed low blood pressure?

Think that's all for now Grin

BIWI · 25/05/2017 12:40

Herb and fruit teas are generally zero or very low carb - just check the back of the pack

Similarly herbs and spices - although be careful - some blends, like Chinese 5 spice, and even some chilli powders also contain sugar. Unlikely to be a huge amount, but try and buy ones that are sugar-free!

Pesto - should be OK, although beware that it's made with pine nuts so, strictly speaking, not OK for Bootcamp (although not really an issue!!!). But again, carb counts vary, so check the label at the back, and take into account how much you're going to use.

Light headed - could be electrolytes - so up your salt particularly, especially in this warm weather, and if you're drinking lots of water.

Fab. Thanks.

ScoobyDoosTinklyLaugh · 25/05/2017 12:52

Getready

I ate an entire tub of total Ff yogurt yesterday - felt like such a savage.

Don't be yourself up its easily done it's really delicious. I'm not going to buy it again for a bit now because I can't be trusted with it. I also can't be trusted with double cream apparently Blush

styledilemma · 25/05/2017 13:16

Afternoon all! Day 4 Smile

I didn't have much energy this morning so I'm listening to my body and am taking it a bit easier today. I've also upped my salt a bit.

B - was a two egg omelette with a slice of gouda cheese. I greased the pan with butter first.
S - two sticks of celery with grated cheese.
L - fried chicken fillet with a salad of watercress, lettuce and half a tomato, drizzled in a splash of olive oil and a side of garlic mayo.
D - I will be having salmon and some cooked veg (likely brocolli and cauliflower and some cabbage.

I feel better since eating lunch. I'm trying to adhere rigidly to the vegetable amounts today. The way I look at it, the closer we stick to the 'rules', the sooner this keto business will kick in and hopefully the carb fluey stage will pass.
Here's hoping.

styledilemma · 25/05/2017 13:19

I meant I'm taking it easier with exercise, not that I'm taking it easier and eating carbs!
I'm still sticking to everything!

Yorkshirebornandbred · 25/05/2017 13:20

Thanks BIWI .

Quick answers:

Yes I fry all my food, never grill. I use lots of butter.

I've been drinking decaf coffee for years so that it doesn't affect my sleep. I don't have cream all the time .... but would if I could!

I really dislike water Sad ... I struggle to drink it and have to have a slice of lemon in it to drink it at all. I'm struggling with the 1.5 l .... but I will try for more.

I know I need to plan more. Anything I say will just be excuses Sad.

I feel like I'm eating huge amounts at meal times .. I shouldn't be hungry Confused

I ate loads of cheese yesterday ... half a pack of Aldi chilli cheese ... plus some Philadelphia ... that's on top of pork scratchings and coffee with cream Blush

I'll get myself to the shops and check out other pates for carbs.

styledilemma · 25/05/2017 13:20

Scooby, I can't wait till we can eat strawberries (in moderation)

I can't wait to eat strawberries & cream.

styledilemma · 25/05/2017 13:23

Oh, and I had a cold shower this morning Shock

Well I did cheat a little bit. I got under the shower when it was luke warm/verging on cool, then I turned it up so that it was cool, then I braved it and turned it on till it was coming out cold, but not freezing.
So I was quite proud of myself.

ScoobyDoosTinklyLaugh · 25/05/2017 13:43

I don't think I can be trusted with strawberrys either Smile

PlymouthMaid1 · 25/05/2017 13:45

is it week three that we get to eat strawberries? :)

well I am doing ok so far i think, scales have dropped a but but I only going to count the actual measure every Monday morning so that fluctuations don't disappoint me.

First couple of days menus were easy but now I will have to think a bit more unless I want to eat way more fish than i normally do. It definitely would be easier if i ate meat.

I don't think i have carb flu although i am getting the odd headache but I often have headaches on work days anyway.

Biggest difficulty so far is drinking enough water. But building up. I am never a massive chocolate or sweet thing eater and have never added sugar to anything other than cakes (in the past few years anyway) and I think had a pretty healthy diet re LCHF but I do feel 'in the zone' right now as had no interest on my parters choc last night or in the idea of the birthday cake I have to make on Sunday.

Still keen to hear of veggie meal ideas from anybody.

ASDismynormality · 25/05/2017 13:47

The coconut bread is light and moist but unsurprising very eggy.
