So our last week! Here's the Spreadsheet for its penultimate outing

One more week could see another couple of pounds off.

Fingers crossed, and good luck! Flowers

Lol my friend is similar with fat Jiminny. He's all 'you're eating butter?' He's so horrified, bless him.

I am so stuffed tonight. I really struggled eating supper and feel uncomfortably bloated now. Just had mince and veggie soup.

Have had a really good few days food wise. Today was a little stress and I'm just slightly wary it's going to knock me off kilter. Will have an early night tonight and keep vigilant and keep checking in here. The stress will be ongoing for a few weeks so if nothing else it will be a good opportunity to practise all my coping strategies and be all zen.

Wails.

JiminnyCricket · 18/05/2017 06:55

dust I really hope the stress doesn't throw you off, you're doing really well!

Anyone else here waiting for Bella to weight in? BlushGrin

ragz134 · 18/05/2017 08:00

Yes, I'm waiting and I really should be straightening my hair...
Good luck Bella!

dustmotesinthesun · 18/05/2017 08:53

Thank you!
Here waiting too!

JiminnyCricket · 18/05/2017 08:53

Caved on my dairy free week and had a creamy coffee this morning instead of my avocado breakfast Blush

One creamy coffee in a week isn't going to stall me though right?

JiminnyCricket · 18/05/2017 08:55

Sat at my desk waving my pom poms for you Bella, all the luck in the world, you've been an inspiration to us all so much so that I'm not sneaky peaking my weight at all during th week this week and waiting for my official weigh in on Monday.

Going to go as long as I can without weighing on the next BC Grin

JiminnyCricket · 18/05/2017 09:35

Has anyone tried this stuff?

www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=286979446

It says it's 30% less fat on the bottle, but looking at the nutritional values it's actually 8.8g fat per 100g which is more than FF canned coconut milk (7g). It's 2.2g carb per 100g and marketed as a dairy free cream substitute but i want to know if it's actually at all creamy?

If I had 50mls in coffee though it's not enough calories for a breakfast (approx 50cal) and not enough fat to keep me full, so I'm thinking of melting down some coconut oil, stirring it into this stuff and then storing it in the fridge for the week? Would the coconut oil re-form though and go lumpy? Would I be better melting the coconut oil in the mug with this stuff in the microwave and then adding the coffee to drink?

Wondering if the coconut oil will thicken it up too.. so many questions Confused

bellalurgy · 18/05/2017 10:03

Morning all Grin

The grand total is 23lbs, which is an amazing amount for me! I long for the days I could take weight off quickly by whichever fad diet is currently doing the rounds but it ain't gonna happen. This woe is for life.

I had to break a few bad habits and try to get pain under control. So I set myself a target of 100 days to see if I could do it. This is what I achieved apart from weight loss;

Stopped constantly snacking
Stopped weighing and allowing the result to affect my whole day
Haven't had a family bag of sweets to myself in 100 days (or any sweets)
Stopped my omeprozole
Halved my pain medication
Stabilised my moods and stopped 'panic' eating

Don't get me wrong, there's a long way to go - I had 6 stone to lose but it's great to be able to say I now have just over 4 stone to lose Star

Next target is a stone by the end of June. My daughter's graduating and I'm going to be there in a lovely summery outfit Grin

Thanks for the support everyone, I wish I'd known you were all here when I started!

JiminnyCricket · 18/05/2017 10:13

Bella you total super star!! Star

You must be completely thrilled Grin

The weight loss is a lovely side effect of all the other brilliant stuff you've achieved in the last 100 days.

The most interesting thing for me is your omeprozole and pain medication. There's a school of thought that carbs affect chronic inflamation which manifests in a range of different symptoms. It's fascinating to see the positive affects low carbing has had on your body.

You're almost a 3rd of the way towards you goal Shock and you achieved that in just 100 days! That's incredible and I have no doubt you'll get that next stone off by the end of June no problem.

Huge huge huge congratulations to you and koko Grin

bellalurgy · 18/05/2017 10:36

jiminy That's what initially led me to LCHF. The gp could only offer me more medication for problems that seemed to be multiplying. After a lot of reading around diet I reasoned that I must be prone to inflammation as I have allergies, asthma and eczema so a diet that seemed to promote healing from inflammation was worth a try. So glad I did!

Kleptronic · 18/05/2017 10:49

Bella I am so pleased for you, that is an amazing result, third of the way there, reduced pain and meds, healthy habits - simply marvellous, well done that woman! 👏

FinallyHere · 18/05/2017 11:10

Brilliant results Bella such great news to hear about this lovely woe.

nekobus · 18/05/2017 11:42

Wow Bella! Well done that's a fab result!! Great to hear all the other benefits you have got from this WoE too.

I've got 80 days until a wedding which I want to lose at least a stone for, you are inspiring. Not sure if I'd be able to not weigh though.

I'm back in hospital for what was a check up / x-ray on my leg and they are admitting me for an operation this afternoon!! That was a bit of a surprise Shock. Hmm I wonder how much the pins and plate in my leg will weigh??? Grin nil by mouth for the rest of today might help the weight loss though and I only managed 2 babybel and a 1/4 pack of crunchy bacon bits. Hungry!!!

StuntNun · 18/05/2017 12:55

Jiminy I read your FF as "full fat" rather than "fat free". I'm clearly obsessed with this WOE.

What a great result Bella, I hope you're delighted with yourself.

ASDismynormality · 18/05/2017 13:31

nekobus hope it goes as well as it can today Flowers

bella. That's a great loss. So how long until your next weigh in?

My youngest went away on a residential trip yesterday. Usually it's a time I would turn to food (he has special needs and I don't like not being the one looking after him!) but I'm determined not to do that.

jiminny Any dairy does tend to stall me. Yesterday I had some Oppo ice cream completely forgetting they it contains dairy.
Re coconut milk I have this one arriving tomorrow www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=295790303&sc_cmp=ppcGHS+-+Grocery+-+NewPX+%7C+Shopping+GSC+%7C+Top+OffersPRODUCT+GROUP295790303&gclid=CjwKEAjwjPXIBRDhwICRg-DbgHISJADP6QXpqdBz1OPeOT8pg9L9s7Ei7omm4VA2hqI30j1c7cqgYxoClz7w_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds. I don't think adding coconut oil to the milk would work as it would just congeal. You could just portion the oil out in ice cube trays and pop one straight into your coffee.

JiminnyCricket · 18/05/2017 14:15

Stunt it is full fat!

StuntNun · 18/05/2017 14:45

You're confusing me Jiminny it was your post yesterday at 17:32 that I was referring to, rather than today's post at 9:35z

BIWI · 18/05/2017 15:31

@bellalurgy that's brilliant! Well done you, and how fantastic that you can cut down or stop your meds

You are, truly, a Star and an inspiration

Look what I found today:

Pret's no cream cream of chicken soup

Only 5.9g carbs for the whole lot, and it was absolutely delicious.

It's their Thursday soup. I have no idea what their other ones are like, because whenever I've looked at soup, it's always been too carby.

JiminnyCricket · 18/05/2017 16:15

stunt my bad Blush, yes, in the first post it was fat free!

Bibs2014 · 18/05/2017 17:07

Well done Bella, amazing result!

wombattoo · 18/05/2017 17:28

Well done Bella You have every reason to be very proud of yourself. That is an amazing loss. Star It is fantastic that you have been able to reduce your medication..

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 18/05/2017 18:01

bella that's amazing, well done!

Who can inspire me with sides for lamb chops? I'm fed up of swede. Got no leek. I do have shedloads of spinach.

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 18/05/2017 20:05

It's OK,I found a load of leeks, put them in the pan with the chops. Yummers.

JiminnyCricket · 19/05/2017 07:04

Aaaah I was going to suggest feta and olives with your lamb chops mixed into cauli rice with a few sun dried tomatoes and a teaspoon of mint sauce Smile

So I hopped on the scales this morning Blush I was feeling really bloated and heavy so I just wanted to see how much I'd gained this week...

I'm 7lbs down on my weight from Monday Shock

Turns out no dairy works for me pretty well Blush

Now I just need to keep it together over the weekend and hope my official mo day weigh in says something similar Grin
