So our last week! Here's the Spreadsheet for its penultimate outing

One more week could see another couple of pounds off.

Fingers crossed, and good luck! Flowers

Menu today

Egg and bacon
Sausage and halloumi
Beef casserole and green veg

More veg needed I know! Big shop has been done today

BIWI · 07/05/2017 15:21

@Copperas

I have either a creamy coffee or 2 eggs/cream/half a leek in a frittata for breakfast, sometimes with a slice of bacon.

This sounds OK, but I'd try going without the cream if you can - just try it for a couple of days and see what happens

Lunch is at work, from the canteen - I have tuna mayonnaise with salad - sometimes grilled chicken with salad.

If it's from a canteen, chances are this will be low in fat. The mayo will almost certainly be low fat mayo, and if they're grilling chicken, then that will also be low fat. If they're providing a salad dressing, chances are it will be pre-prepared/manufactured, and most likely will contain sugar. If this is the case, why not either ask them if they can just provide you with oil and vinegar, to make your own, or make a vinaigrette dressing and take it into to work

Dinner - I've been eating a combination of meat (pork shoulder, or 898% pork sausages, or belly pork, or chicken thighs) with courgette or broccoli or cauliflower cooked in the same pan, and cream added at the end to make a bit of sauce. Or I have a mixed salad with mayonnaise instead of cooked vegetables.

Again, try knocking the cream on the head for a few days. Add a big knob of butter instead. And add an oily dressing to the salad as well as mayo

If I snack, it tends to be cheese - a couple of ounces? Or celery with something like salmon pate.

See what happens if you avoid the cheese. Pate is good, also olives, if you like those?

I have had the odd bit of fruit, but mostly berries.

This is likely to be a source of carbs, especially when it's not been berries! I'd definitely avoid the fruit for now if you can, at least until you see the scales starting to move again

Also perhaps 3 cups of tea a day with a little milk. I'm trying to get to 3 litres pf water a day but do find this hard

All that milk will also be adding carbs to the diet - if you're finding the water difficult, I'd really suggest that every time you think about having a cup of tea, you substitute it with water - then you've achieved your water target and you've avoided the carbs from the milk in your tea!

Sorry for the drip feed, but I also have total yogurt every other day

More dairy - if you look at what you've been eating - cream, milk, cheese and yoghurt, this is quite a lot and you could find that this is impeding weight loss. Try a few days without it and see what happens

I think this cake from the diet doctor looks pretty amazing. Pretty low carb and I love flourless choc cake generally. He has some great recipes there.

A good day here. Eggs and veg for breakfast. Feta cheese with tomatoes and cucumber with olive oil and basil for lunch and then I have a Waitrose ready meal for supper which looks low carb. I just had a few almonds too. Wearing the same trousers as yesterday and revelling in their marvellous bagginess. I won't be a size 12 until I've lost at least a stone so wondering what to do as these get more baggy. I might have to get my sewing machine out and take them in. I don't think baggy clothes do you any favours- they quite often make you look bigger.

Copperas · 07/05/2017 17:49

Biwi
thanks for the advice - when you spell it out like that it does look rather a lot of dairy. I'll do without and see what happens.

bellalurgy · 07/05/2017 18:03

Copperas - when I started I didn't count my drinks as it was 'only' a coffee or 'only' a tea. I measured my 'dash of milk' and discovered each cup was around 2 carbs. Not much in the great scheme of things but if you have 5 teas/coffees with milk you're already at half your carbs for the day. A real eye opener!

Unfortunately, I slipped up today (day 90/100). I thought sweet potato was a lot lower in carbs than potato so had some roast with my dinner. Just looked it up and realised I was wrong Shock

Still, I'm just going to move on, there's nothing I can do now I've eaten it.

Signed up for May's Bootcamp..... very exciting Grin It'll be about 6 weeks till my daughters graduation so just enough time to get another half stone off. I might have found my scales by the time it starts.

BIWI · 07/05/2017 20:20

Sweet potato.

There's a clue in the name!

I went AWOL for the last weeks due to holidays and then Easter. Haven't skimped on enjoying myself although where and when practical I had some low carb days / half-days along the way. What is great is that my loss stabilised at around 20 pounds down from the start, slightly more than I lost in the first 4 weeks, and I haven't regained despite some pretty dodgy eating. Getting a number of comments from people too about looking good which is a great motivator!

I'm just about ready to get stuck in to bootcamp style again now and I'm hopeful that 2-4 strict weeks followed by more-relaxed-but-not-stupid will allow me to get another stone down and consolidate it before working on the next one. If I can keep this working without trying too hard then it bodes really well for the longterm.

ASDismynormality · 07/05/2017 20:37

Really pleased bootcamp is starting again soon. Re-read the rules and realised my diet has been a bit too protein heavy and lacking in veg a bit. Also have reintroduced dairy which I think I will take out again.

ASDismynormality · 08/05/2017 07:43

My first gain this week, 0,5lb - was lower a couple of days ago so hopefully will go soon!

boatgirl81 · 08/05/2017 07:54

Please to see a new bootcamp, really don't know what I am doing wrong but can't add myself to the list. My computer is rubbish and won't let me copy and paste. Would someone do me a favour and add me on please?

I have lost 4 pounds this week, have been very strict bootcamp and have drunk lots of water, a few more pounds and my bmi will have dropped from obese to just overweight. That will be a lovely milestone.

It is my birthday on Thursday though so trying to be good, in preparation for a treat. The family are desperate for a takeaway, out of all the options what is the best?

Bibs2014 · 08/05/2017 08:27

Well done boatgirl on the loss Smile

I gained but I know why so back on it. Will add myself to the boot camp list.

SayrraT · 08/05/2017 08:34

I've lost another 2 lbs! Shock

That brings me to 23 lbs lost in 18 weeks, so I'm 5 lbs ahead of my 52 lbs in 52 weeks aim.

BIWI · 08/05/2017 08:44

Woo hoo Sayrra! Flowers

ASDismynormality · 08/05/2017 09:54

Well done Sayrra!

I've chosen a non weight related goal. I have a size 18 evening gown, am going to try it on every Monday hoping I can do it up a bit more. Hopefully it will fit by the end of the next bootcamp!

bellalurgy · 08/05/2017 10:07

Haha, the worst bit is, it wasn't even me who clocked on. DH cooked dinner and then asked how come I could have sweet potato when I couldn't have potato? Doh, think I mixed it up with swede Blush

Another beautiful day here, will go out for a walk if my hips are up to it. Cheese omelette for brunch I think, already looking forward to this month's bootcamp!

bellalurgy · 08/05/2017 10:08

Ooh, well done Sayrra, that's fantastic Star

Bibs2014 · 08/05/2017 12:25

Menu:

  • scrambled eggs with bacon
  • chicken salad for lunch
  • roast chicken and green veg
Bibs2014 · 08/05/2017 12:31

Well done SayrraT!

Giraffeski · 08/05/2017 12:51

Breakfast- omelette with mushrooms, broccoli and goats cheese
Lunch- not sure yet as i'm stuck under a poorly sleeping toddler. If I manage to get up it will be a green salad probably, with tuna or something.
Tea- chicken chasseur with cauliflower mash.

dustmotesinthesun · 08/05/2017 13:04

23 pounds is amazing!!

I had to really force myself to eat lunch today. I wasn't remotely hungry. That feels so weird. I've always been greedy. Had a nice Thai fish curry though.

SayrraT · 08/05/2017 14:14

Thanks everyone Grin

Still got 50 lbs or so to go but I'm getting there.

knottyhair · 08/05/2017 14:56

Well done SayrraT! Amazing!
Had mushroom, cheese & spinach omelette for breakfast, half an avocado with prawns & mayo for lunch. Have roast chicken with green beans & kale for dinner.

Bibs2014 · 08/05/2017 15:12

dust - i am finding sometimes I have to force myself to eat and it's because i have low blood sugar that I make myself eat even though I don't need to. I am scared I'll get sweaty and have heart palpitations. But I don't NEED to eat.
