So our last week! Here's the Spreadsheet for its penultimate outing

One more week could see another couple of pounds off.

Fingers crossed, and good luck! Flowers

Hesdead. I absolutely agree with that. When I have lost weight before, I have gone hungry to do it. This woe, no hunger. Therefore, I am less obsessed and it has become a habit now. I've also posted on the avoiding binging thread as I haven't had a binge for four months, which is the longest I have gone in about 30 years. ShockSmile

marioncole · 25/04/2017 08:09

I'm so miserable Sad I haven't lost for days. Lost 4lbs in the first couple of days then nothing. I know 4lbs is a lot but I'm guessing it was all water. And I feel like I'm sacrificing so much, I've been really meticulous out what I'm eating (although I was perhaps eating too much at the start of the week). Yesterday was 2 boiled eggs for breakfast, leftover beef burger and salad for lunch, roast chicken and salad (w mayo) for tea, 3 litres of water. I just stood in front of the fridge in despair trying to decide what to eat for breakfast (cheese omelette in the end) while DS was sitting eating lovely toast. I've got a chicken Caesar salad prepped for lunch, God know what we'll have for tea. This is where I always waver and say "I'll go back to my normal diet but just eat less", which will be fine to start with but the portion size will slowly drift up. I just need a good morning on the scales to get my head back in the game.

BIWI · 25/04/2017 08:17

@marioncole - are you serious? You haven't lost for days?

If you can't cope with not losing on a daily basis STOP WEIGHING DAILY!

You lost 4lbs in 2 days, which is brilliant. You can't expect to see that kind of loss every day. And if you've read the whole thread, or read all the bootcamp threads (you have been reading other posts, haven't you - not just posting your own?), then you'll see that this pattern is actually very common.

And I feel like I'm sacrificing so much

What - like weight gain, hypertension, obesity, diabetes, cancer or Alzheimer's? You're doing this, I presume, because you want to lose weight! Which means sticking to the plan!

Yesterday was 2 boiled eggs for breakfast, leftover beef burger and salad for lunch, roast chicken and salad (w mayo) for tea, 3 litres of water.

Perfect!

God knows what we'll have for tea

Why? Why haven't you planned ahead and bought stuff that you a) like and b) will have to hand?

Planning ahead is critical to success on any diet actually, but especially on a low carb way of eating.

I just need a good morning on the scales to get my head back in the game.

No you don't! Stop weighing every day.

Read the whole of this thread so that you can see how other people are experiencing this WOE - so you can see that you are not alone!

Read the resources posted on the spreadsheet, so that you know how it works.

And only give up once you've done that and are really convinced that isn't going to work.

Hi everyone, just found this thread, can I join please? I've started LCHF 6-7 weeks ago and lost 1 stone. Really pleased with myself! Have another stone (or less) to go. The weight loss is stalling or slowing...so looking for tips on how to keep it moving forward. Have read all your amazing stories of progress, it's very inspiring. Smile

Bibs2014 · 25/04/2017 09:56

I've lost 1lb overnight. Smile

Having pancetta, spinach and onion omelette - is that ok for breakfast?

Halloumi salad for lunch.

I want to make a cauliflower curry for dinner - onion, spices, handful of tomatoes. Would that be ok to have with Greek yogurt for dinner?

Bibs2014 · 25/04/2017 09:57

PS - thanks for the coffee tips Smile

bellalurgy · 25/04/2017 09:58

Morning all :)

Not sure what I'm eating over the next few days, Thursday is moving day! It's been a stressful few weeks but I'm still on it. I'm having to eat what's available in the fridge and freezer so it can be defrosted. Luckily, we don't keep carbs in the house any more so it'll be all good stuff.

Beef mince for breakfast anyone? I say breakfast, but I don't really eat till at least 12pm any more. All in all, I'm just less 'panicky' around food.

Had my morning creamy coffee and now I'm going to read more of the boot camp threads. Loads of useful info and it's nice to see others just getting on with this woe and getting healthier.

Biwi, that's an impressive swish you have there!

I haven't had to use it much on this Bootcamp, so I've probably waved a whole load of dust on to the thread!

marion don't worry, we've all had the thwack of BIWI's stick at some point, me more than most Grin

I agree with not weighing daily, it's the devils work. I weighed daily for the last 2 weeks and I've never felt so demotivated since I started this WOE back in Feb. It shows in my posts as well, you can actually read how frustrated and crappy it made me feel.

Back to weekly weighing this week and already I feel 100% better and more 'free' Smile

I think if you're mentally resilient and more focused on health rather than your weight, you can weigh daily with no problems. I'm losing weight for totally vain reasons though (wedding in 354 days!) and I put a lot of stay by what numbers are on the scales. Im
Also not mentally resilient enough to deal with the daily fluctuations Blush

I binned my scales last night and now weigh in weekly on the proper scales at Tesco, feel 100 times better about that :)

marioncole · 25/04/2017 10:55

The big stick was just what was needed. I do genuinely feel more upbeat now Grin My motivation is definitely weight over health. I'm about 3 stone over where I want to be (or 2 stone 10 now Smile) but that's just because I don't like how I look. My diet was actually quite balanced and healthy, I just ate too much. I am so not hungry now.

I have been reading other posts but I haven't read the whole thread. I might do that tonight.

And I will stop weighing myself Blush

bellalurgy · 25/04/2017 10:58

My scales are packed, have no idea what I weigh as I last checked 48 days ago. So MFP tells me anyway :)

Hesdeadjim · 25/04/2017 12:42

I'd love to not weigh at all but I'm too worried about not losing weight in time for the weddingBlush, so a weekly reassurance that things are going in the right direction is enough.

If I could be a size 12 for my wedding I'd be ecstatic. Lowest I've been as an adult was a size 14/16 and I weighed 12st 13lbs, so I reckon around 11st should see me comfortably in 12's? I'm just going to stop when I feel awesome in clothes rather than having a weight target though.

I'm 16st 11lbs at the moment which is considerably closer to 11st than 19st 1 was on New Year's Day Grin

My next mini target is to see a 15 on the scales Grin

dustmotesinthesun · 25/04/2017 12:45

I think it really helps to pick an outfit that doesn't quite fit and then try it on every 2-3 weeks. And photograph yourself in it too each time. I think 3-4 months down the line you'll be so glad you did. I'm saying that not having done so yet so that's my mission for the week. I wear linen trousers a lot and they're confusing because the fabric relaxes after it comes out of the wash, the more you wear it. So i never quite know if i've lost or it's just the linen doing its thing. Even doing a selfie each month for your own personal record will show up what changes you're really getting.

dustmotesinthesun · 25/04/2017 12:47

Hesdead you're smashing it! I really can't wait to see a photo of you in your dress (if you're happy to share one)

Hesdeadjim · 25/04/2017 13:07

dustmotesinthesun I have a pair of shorts that i lived in at my lowest weight. They are size 14 and i wore them all summer. I kept them because the day I "grew out" of them, i cried.... but still kept eating Hmm

I try them on every month or so. I can get them up now but obviously cant fasten them Blush

Hi all, hope you are all doing well. Back from our little holiday and was a bit annoyed to have put on 4 pounds but it was very much my own fault. Drinking alcohol everyday, and too much naughty food. So weighed in yesterday at 11st 4, had a good day yesterday and the scales were already down to 11st 2 overnight, hoping to be back under 11 stone in the next couple of weeks.

Am back to strict bootcamp for the next few weeks, really struggling with carb cravings already. Really hoping I can get back into the routine fairly quickly.

ASDismynormality · 25/04/2017 15:47

Great to see some new people on here, good luck.

I weigh daily fluctuate 2lbs either way sometimes!

ASDismynormality · 25/04/2017 15:52

Didn't finish my post!

I went for the second session of the diabetes prevention program. It wasn't great. We were given a few sheets with some exercises using resistance bands. We were given bands to use during the session but had to return them so the course leader decided there was no point showing us exercises using the bands. We were also in a small room so couldn't really try any out. I spent the session thinking I could be in the gym or at the allotment actually getting some exercise. I'm really not impressed so far and feel it's such a waste of NHS money.

wombattoo · 25/04/2017 17:26

Hello everyone and welcome to new people Smile
I'm still here chugging along. I have been a bit more 'relaxed' with my eating in the last week or 2. It's not good. I have quite a bit on socially in the next few days, so I'm going to go with it and climb back on strict bc next week.
It's great to read how well you are all doing and how you have adapted to this woe.
marion I am sorry but I had to chuckle when I saw BIWI wielding the stick. We have all been there. Glad you are feeling positive.

MiniCooperLover · 25/04/2017 17:51

So I can't get used to coffee, is tea too high carb? Would it work with cream too?

BIWI · 25/04/2017 20:31

Why would you think tea is carby?!

There aren't carbs in tea or coffee - the carbs come from the milk you put in it. So it's better to minimise the number of cups you drink or, if you like it, drink it with cream.

MiniCooperLover · 25/04/2017 20:35

Sorry, MFP showed it as 6g so I assumed too high? Will try it with cream tomorrow and see what happens 👍

BIWI · 25/04/2017 20:41

I wonder if they mean that's with milk?

I don't use MFP - the whole point of Bootcamp is that you don't have to weigh or count anything!
