Here's the Spreadsheet for you to confess all!

I hope that you've seen good results, and that they have convinced you that this WOE works - if you weren't already convinced, of course Grin

Here's to a good second week. Hopefully all of you suffering from carb flu will be through that now, and will be feeling much more energised.

Good luck to all Flowers

PESTO IS LOW CARB!

Sainsbo's plain green pesto is teeny tiny carbalicious!

Dinner time is exciting!

SayrraT · 14/02/2017 19:09

shiny its what I'd have but it doesn't normally have breadcrumbs! Just wanted you to be aware that it has tomatoes.

I'll do the dates when I can wombat don't worry about it.

SayrraT · 14/02/2017 19:10

stealth I love salmon fillets coated with pesto and cooked in the oven.

wombattoo · 14/02/2017 19:14

Thanks Sayrra

Hesdeadjim · 14/02/2017 19:18

Dinner tonight was lush:

Roast chicken (with skin!)
Broccoli fried in oil, tarrogen and thyme
Lemon butter sauce

Week 2 - Spring Low Carb Bootcamp - how was the first weigh-in?!
Patapouf · 14/02/2017 19:53

B: babybel and a slice of ham. Overslept massively today and didn't have time for anything else.
L: cottage pie w. Swede topping and kale
D: ginger/garlic/spicy pork shoulder steaks with homemade coleslaw.
3.5l of water down but still thirsty and going to the gym tonight so will drink more.

Might try flaxseed with Greek yog tomorrow to get things moving

feekerry · 14/02/2017 19:59

ASDA genoise (sp?) green pesto is very low carb too...

MyShinyThing · 14/02/2017 20:00

We actually went to ASK in the end which is probably why it was slightly different. I even avoided my usual glass of wine & opted for sparkling water!

I didn't realise pesto was LC! Will add that to the shopping list.

Patapouf · 14/02/2017 20:08

I know we don't have to measure anything but how many grams of carbs do we need to cap it off at each day BIWI?

SayrraT · 14/02/2017 20:13

That might be why shiny, well done on avoiding the wine Smile

I think for pesto you will need to check individual ones as they aren't all as low carb.

Lovely lunch today at work:

B: coffee with cream
S: FF yog
L: baked aubergine with feta cheese, salad
S: boiled egg
D: steak, kalettes and broccoli

Also booked flights today for Cuba in April Grin I'm going for work and OH is tagging along. We are having a few days in Havana afterwards.

Coconut70 · 14/02/2017 20:34

playmobil I am the same craving cake and sweets, its a bad habit I have had for years. I am full eaten cauli cheese but craving a nibble and an almond isn't hitting the spot.

stealtheatingtunnocks · 14/02/2017 20:37

I'm also craving.

having a bowl of greek yogurt and a few blueberries.

What I want is half a bottle of chardonnay and half a box of tunnocks teacakes.

And then the rest.

But, I ALSO really want to stick to this. I've never managed to lose weight because I am really good for about a month, maybe two max, then go back to old habits.

Not this time.

So, another litre of sparkling water, some fruit and yogurt and an early night it is.

Almahart · 14/02/2017 20:41

I've lost 5ibs so am chuffed.

Have been enjoying spicy guacamole with seasoned chicken and pork. Yummy. Determined to keep on being super strict this week. Planning to stay on strict boot camp

SayrraT · 14/02/2017 20:43

Stick with it and the craving will go, if you give in it will be harder to get back on track (experience speaking here!).

If you can get past the first difficult weeks this WOE honestly becomes easier and you probably won't even have cravings.

stealtheatingtunnocks · 14/02/2017 20:54

That's true, Sayrra. I'm always "well, I may as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb".

Hanging in there. I need to do this properly for two weeks and the rest of my life

dementedma · 14/02/2017 20:55

Really struggling tonight and craving something sweet. 5lbs lost and now self sabotaging.....Why????????.

SayrraT · 14/02/2017 20:55

You can do it!

SayrraT · 14/02/2017 20:59

Oops that was to stealth

demented you can do it too, don't give in.

Anything low carb that might help?

Yogurt
Whipped cream
Pork scratchings
Mascarpone
Cheese
Pate
Hot drink (stock cube sometimes help me)

If you are really desperate then dark (70% chocolate), some berries with the yogurt, cream or mascarpone, nuts?

SayrraT · 14/02/2017 21:00

Coconut cream (not creamed coconut) is also nice and only 1/1.5g carbs per 100g.

SayrraT · 14/02/2017 21:17

patapouf I did reply to you but it seems to have vanished Confused

I think that under 100g is considered to be low carb, atkins is 20g. Each person is different though and one person might lose on 150g per day while another needs much lower carbs.

The best thing to do is to follow the rules as they are just now and don't worry about the carbs just now. If you are following the rules but not losing then maybe check your daily intake.

mistywillow17 · 14/02/2017 21:48

demented I've been craving something sweet too - this evening I tried Taylors "sweet rhubarb" tea which was recommended by someone earlier Ithink - it definitely helped a bit to have something that tasted fresh, sweet and clean. Not the perfect solution, but definitely better than nothing, and better than giving in to temptation.

dementedma · 14/02/2017 21:50

You did better than me misty. Luckily there are no biscuits and cake in the house. But I had pate and crackers, and also gin. Epic fail.

PissPotPourri · 14/02/2017 21:57

Hi all, I've found you after doing my own version of low carbing for over two weeks now. I've read the previous thread and now this one and having looked at the SoF realise I'm basically doing bootcamp albeit with flaxseeds... i shall miss them out from now on. So, I'd like to join if that's OK? I weighed 11.8 at the start 2 weeks ago (post baby #3) and was 11.0 this morning, so pleased with that. I have also had another side effect which is nearly as pleasing as the weight loss and wonder if it is common because i cannot find reference on the internet at all to link it with low-carbing. And that is that for my whole life i have suffered from a white-coated tongue. I have good oral hygiene, the dentist can't fault me, but the coating has always been there. It's horrible and embarrassing. Two weeks of this diet and it's gone. Totally gone! I have a beautiful, rosy pink tongue for the first time in my life and I'm so happy i think it's enough motivation for me to continue forever! I don't think it's the increased water intake though because i have always drink a lot. I have had massively increased saliva though... Am i alone in this?

mistywillow17 · 14/02/2017 22:02

demented that doesn't sound too disastrous - tomorrow's another day, and lots of time to get back on it before next weeks weigh in. Must say I'm finding this week a lot tougher than last week in terms of temptation -haven't caved in yet, but it's been close.

dementedma · 14/02/2017 22:06

Dont know about the tongue thing but a side effect here has been a decrease in farting!
Thanks misty. Will get back on it tomorrow
