Here's the Spreadsheet for you to confess all!

I hope that you've seen good results, and that they have convinced you that this WOE works - if you weren't already convinced, of course Grin

Here's to a good second week. Hopefully all of you suffering from carb flu will be through that now, and will be feeling much more energised.

Good luck to all Flowers

MyShinyThing if you're at Pizza Express they do a sharing platter of cured meats, olives, cheese and salad leaves that makes a reasonable low carb main course for one. They usually have olive oil available too. Just go easy on the sundried tomatoes.

thenightsky · 14/02/2017 09:45

Pleased with a drop of 4lb. Smile

SayrraT · 14/02/2017 09:52

Pizza express do melanzane parmigiana (or however it is spelt). That's aubergine, tomatoes and cheese all baked.

BIWI · 14/02/2017 10:01

Lexa47 - you could always use Bare Naked noodles in your Singapore noodles - they're carb-free - and Sainsbury's sell them!

Thanks Stunt & Sayrra. Those both sounds perfect. I love aubergine so will check that out.

ragz134 · 14/02/2017 10:24

So we got an unexpected night out last night - my sister is staying and offered to babysit so we made the most of it! 875ml of red wine. Surprisingly not that high in carbs, but drunk me thought it was a good idea to eat cake, which is...
Hungover me is very sorry.
However, I have been low carbing since the beginning of the year and this was the first proper night out with my husband for well over a year so I don't feel too guilty.
Also, my trousers kept falling down all night because they are too big!

Today I will mostly be drinking water. Can't face food yet and have to take DH to hospital for a minor procedure shortly.
Dinner will be meatballs - I got meal plan wrong yesterday.

Flibbertyjibbit · 14/02/2017 10:24

Disappointed to have put back on 3lbs (I can't imagine time of the month would cause that big a gain!) - have relaxed a bit too much so this next week I am sticking to bootcamp 100% and make sure I reach the 4.5L of water each day.

B - leftover lamb stew, coffee with cream
L - chicken & bacon salad
D - omelette & salad

Seeing my dietitian next week so would really like a good loss this next week.

SayrraT · 14/02/2017 10:47

flibberty for me TOTM can definitely result in a 3lb gain. What do you normally gain, do you know?

shiny the tomatoes might make the melanzane a wee bit too carby but for a meal out I think it's pretty good.

Flibbertyjibbit · 14/02/2017 10:58

SayrraT I have only been weighing weekly since I started low carbing 4 weeks ago, so I don't know what I would have gained previous months.

Hope that it is just a one off blip, I think I saw someone mention that week 4 can be a stall for some people so that might also contribute to it.

Even with the 3lbs gained, I am still 14lbs down in 4 weeks (was 17lbs lost in 3 weeks)

Freddorika · 14/02/2017 11:06

Thank you so much for the link. It doesn't seem to work well on my phone but I will look properly later. I had eggs and bacon for breakfast and then a protein yogurt with seeds which is probably bad! I weighed myself this morning and weigh 12.3 AND managed to have a screaming row with dh about money so I feel really miserable now. Just the mood to eat lots of toast and butter!!

mistywillow17 · 14/02/2017 12:10

Oh my goodness, I made celeriac crisps (thinly sliced and tossed in olive oil, spread out on a tray, in the oven for 30 minutes until brown round the edges and left on the tray for a couple of minutes to crisp up ) They are AMAZING, I feel like bulk buying celeriac right now and eating them forever.
DH has requested lasagne for dinner - I'm going to try to make half with pasta, half with courgette strips, just need to remember which half is which!

Hesdeadjim · 14/02/2017 12:26

How is everyone's Tuesday's going?

I was feeling god awful this morning. Light headed, stuffed up and full of cold and very very sorry for myself :( I've added super greens to my water (5 portions of fruits and veg in powder form) and although in 12g of powder there's 6g of carbs, it's within my 25g limit and since having it I feel a whole lot better. I think I need the VitC injection to help get me through whatever lurgy I've picked up!

I just looked at my fitbit tracker and I've gone from having 8/9 hours sleep every single night, to having 6 hours the night before last and only 5 hours and 32 mins last night... i don't feel particularly tired but I'm definitely not feeling well at all right now! Weirdly though I'm not at all hungry and just don't want food Confused I don't know if it's because I'm feeling rotten, but I just cant bring myself to eat. I've managed to get a protein shake laced with double cream (!!) down me this morning but that was at 7am and it's now lunch time and I just don't want to eat.

Despite feeling crap, I went to the gym last night and I'm doing a C25K program (zombie run Grin).. if any of you have ever tried to run at 18 stone+ you'll already know it's a task and a half when you're feeling full of beans but when you're feeling crap it's a hell of a slog. I did the final run of week 2 (30 seconds run, 5 heel lifts, 1 minute walk repeated 5 times then a 10 minute free run, where you can run as much or as little as you can). Normally I do the run drills then walk for the final 10 minutes, but last night i turned the treadmill up as high as I could manage and ran flat out as fast as I could for as long as I could, which turned out to be 45 seconds before my legs went a bit wobbly and I freaked out. I wasn't "energy tired" though, a bit out of breath but I could definitely have gone for longer if I'd not panicked.

Then when I got home, I cooked dinner and after I'd eaten I was proper jittery and just wanted to be "doing" something.. so I cleaned the fish tank out which involves lugging a 10 gallon bucket of water to and from the kitchen to the living room.. finished that and decided it was bed time. Had a hot bath and thought I'd be ok to sleep but I wasn't tired and I lay awake until DP came home... then I pounced on him like an insatiable beast and ravaged him Blush... poor bloke looked a bit shell shocked but didn't pass comment!

What's going on here? I feel crap but have bags of energy, will this improve and will I level out at some point?

Imissmy0ldusername · 14/02/2017 13:29

Jim I suspect you are suffering an attack of the Tiggers. I was quite terrifying towards the end of last week, DH can confirm. I have levelled out now, and am back to sensible energy levels, but they are much more stable. No more post lunch carb coma, and I've not had heartburn since I started, which, for me is enough proof that this WOE is good for me.

I've still not gone out socially, which I'm still not bothered about. If I play my cards right, I may be able to keep this up for a good month more.

I have done what I was musing about earlier on in the week & ordered a new mattress, as my old one woke me twice in the night. It was probably the cost of 2 or 3 nights out, so I'm not even vaguely feeling guilty Grin
I should probably mention at this point that I ordered a single mattress, as DH sleeps in a different room - shift work, snoring and doing the samba in his sleep do not do my sleep any favours. So my nights out weren't costing £100 a pop, before anyone feels the need to stage an intervention!

sheepysheep · 14/02/2017 14:29

I had to leave for a work trip unexpectedly on Sunday so haven't been able to weigh. I feel like a whale though - long haul flight was a disaster Shock - I purloined boiled eggs, cheese, butter and olives from the lounge in Amsterdam which made a good plane picnic but was ravenous by the time they fetched the second food tray around and succumbed Sad. And it's gone down hill from there... trouble is I'm in east Africa and being hosted. It just isn't on to refuse food or be fussy in a country where lots of people are not getting enough to eat. I work in the fresh produce supply chain so have spent the last two days watching tonnes of lovely beans, tender stem broccoli and pak choi trundling down the conveyer belts in the packhouse and been unable to eat any of it Envy
I'm contemplating starting the egg fast when I return to the UK on Friday.
Well done for all the losses, especially to all the new people .... yes, we weren't lying, you really can eat lots of tasty things in abundance and still lose weight Grin

mrwalkensir · 14/02/2017 14:51

Still Tigger here ..,, plus we realised mild sinus pain and sore throat, so figure the long term stinky cold still hadn't gone. Eating out tonight ( not Valentine's Day, just theatre coincidence) but hope to be fairly carb sensible

Coconut70 · 14/02/2017 15:38

HI Ladies, when do you start to feel better and have energy, I am still feeling awful terrible diarrhoea (sorry) and totally lethargic. I was in the supermarket and felt really dizzy. I too am doing c25k but put it on hold till I feel better.

ive had today
coffee with cream, omelette with cheese and spinach
quorn sausages with lettuce
some almonds

any suggestions or just bear it and hope to feel human soon

thanks xx

BursarsFrogs · 14/02/2017 15:41

So nice to read how everyone's doing - although sorry not everyone's feeling great!

I'm glad to report my cafe marathon went better than expected. Avoiding looking at the cakes, I realised they had an actual lunch menu, and were kind enough to make me a bunless, chipless burger meal. :)

Foods today:
B: two fried eggs and a tiny avocado.
L: a burger patty, bit of fried onion, bit of coleslaw and lots of salad.
S: might have a bit of Greek yoghurt.
D: will be chicken stir fry with some of those weird Zero Noodles...

Musicianofbremen · 14/02/2017 17:23

Good to see everyone still doing so well. Coconut I had one very bad day and then it all seemed to fall
into place.

I have reached the lovely point where veggies have started to taste quite sweet so that's exciting.

Out for lunch today I had a Chicken Caesar salad without the croutons.

I slow roasted lots of peppers and aubergines yesterday which I have been grazing on. Makes a nice change from babybels and pork crackling 😃.

I also have lots of broccoli to use up so am going to have a bash at making some sort of broccoli and Stilton crustless quiche things in a muffin tin for easy snacking. Is it better to use shallots than onions?

Musicianofbremen · 14/02/2017 17:27

Oh and...

B: asparagus, bacon and egg fried in butter. Couldn't face the egg.
L: chicken Caesar salad
D: Lamb, aubergine, spinach curry with Greek yoghurt.

Snacks, Greek yoghurt and roasted peppers (obvs not at the same time).

wombattoo · 14/02/2017 17:42

Hello all
Musician yes it is better to have shallots. they are lower in carbs.

wombattoo · 14/02/2017 17:50

Sayrra I have tried again with the s/s. It will not allow me to add the dates as the cells are protected.

playmobilpeacock · 14/02/2017 18:01

I'm finding it quite tough going today. Not sure why.

I've had quite bad cravings and have wanted to snack a lot. I even went to eat one of the DC's sweets but I spat it out.

We've been doing jobs around the house so maybe it's boredom?

I've just had a huge supper of sausages and cauliflower cheese and I'm stuffed but I still want something sweet Sad

Aderyn2016 · 14/02/2017 18:09

Hello all. Just checking in. Will go back and read the thread Smile

MyShinyThing · 14/02/2017 18:26

Oh I didn't even think about the tomatoes in the melanzane Sayraa! I was feeling really pleased with myself as well as I had it to start & asked for it without the breadcrumbs & then had the chefs salad as a main which was full of Parma ham, mozzarella, avocado & just dressed with olive oil. And then I wasn't even tempted to have dessert. Hopefully as it was only a starter it wasn't too bad on the carbs.

I need to drink a lot more water today!

Musicianofbremen · 14/02/2017 18:54

Definitely boredom playmobil I had that last week.

Used shallots for the quiches which smell amazing and are putting me off my curry Angry.

Have a stinking headache this evening which I think is down to not drinking enough.

DH is away but rang and said "something special" will arrive this evening. I hope it's not chocolates I just won't be able to resist.
