Evening all!

Just getting this out there, so that everyone knows where to go/what to do in the morning.

Here's the link to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I'd like to say a massive thank you and Flowers to Sayrra and Wombattoo who set this up and maintain it for us all.

PLEASE don't touch anything other than the cell where you input your weight.

If your name isn't on the list, just add it to the bottom, and it will be magically re-alphabetised to include you.

It's called the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness because of all the information and resources that are available to us. Look at the tabs at the bottom - the rules are there, along with the veg counter, and all manner of resources for you to read up more about low carbing.

If you can't access it, or can't input your weight, just add your weight to the chat thread, and someone will do it for you. (I believe it's difficult to do it from your phone).

But more than anything else, a massive good luck to you all!

All I can say to you is follow the rules!

It does work, but only if you follow them.

Good luck everyone.

B: tuna mayo lettuce wrap x2, babybel and peperami. ( not off to a good start with the processed food!)
L: buttery mushroom and cheese omelette
D: lamb meatballs with courgettes

2l of water down, 1.5l to go!

Imissmy0ldusername · 06/02/2017 16:36

Well, I'm feeling sorry for myself after this morning's "Boing" attack - been laid up at home with a dodgy stomach. I suspect it was the very strong black coffee wot done it, so I'm going to amend things such that I have a small number of cups of weaker tea than usual with a tiny amount of full fat milk in throughout the day. Then I'll amend my coleslaw recipe and use a vinegarette (olive oil & red wine vinegar) instead of mayo.

To top it all off, I've just had my new tax code sent through, and it's completely wrong. I sure as shit won't be paying double the tax I was paying last year, no siree!

Hey ho, nearly dinner time, and I'm looking forward to my pork belly.

SayrraT · 06/02/2017 16:37

glitterkitten I think your macros should be more like:

Fat 60%
Protein 25%
Carbs 15%

Or possibly even higher fat and lower carbs. I think stunt is the best person to advise on this.

snowdonstreet · 06/02/2017 16:41

Are we allowed butternut squash in first 2 weeks.... have searched but can't find the info

wombattoo · 06/02/2017 16:45

Hello everyone.
Good to see we are off to a great start. I lost a few pounds last week so I don't expect massive results this week.

I have updated the spreadsheet so far. Can I just point out that I'm not usually around through the day, but I check in every teatime and will pick up the weights then.

Pip you are truly an inspiration Thanks

Glitterkitten24 · 06/02/2017 16:47

Thanks sayrra T that's a help- and actually fits closer with what I've eaten today cos my fat was pretty high already.

I'll correct to that and if stunt or BIWI have any thoughts I can amend.

wombattoo · 06/02/2017 16:47

snowdon Butternut squash is quite carby. If you look on the spreadsheet there are tabs along the Bottom. One of them has the carb counts for veg.

SayrraT · 06/02/2017 16:51

Butternut squash is 12g carb per 100g. On BC you should aim for veg which is under 5g carb per 100g (ideally under 3g/100g).

wombattoo · 06/02/2017 16:52

bowlfull if you are a regular low carber, you could try it with intermittent fasting. I know others have had some success with that.
It is not so difficult if you eat your evening meal relatively early - say 5pm and then delay breakfast till 9am, that qualifies as 16 hours fasting and then just eat between the next 8 hours. Hope that makes sense.

GrassWillBeGreener · 06/02/2017 17:31

Thanks for the person who mentioned this morning the problems of school cake stalls - it's reminded me that my son's school is in cakeselling mode this week and I usually try to contribute and often forget ... Solves the problem of feeling that he deserves things even if I'm not making them for myself though.

So far so good. Had to go to the supermarket for household bread and milkl and managed to keep myself out of the chocolate and crisps aisles ... Picked up a reduced bacon joint which might help for snacks!

wombattoo · 06/02/2017 17:40

I don't want to state the obvious Grass but check the bacon joint for sugar. It is quite hard to find one that doesn't contain it.

ragz134 · 06/02/2017 18:29

Thanks for adding me and for all the hard work!
I had a weekend off low carb after 4.5 weeks being totally sugar/carb free (lost a stone). I thought in would want to eat everything but the malteasers just tasted like sweet rubbish. I'm possibly cured?!

Breakfast today was just cream in my coffee, I don't really do breakfast any more and that works for me. I have read good arguments against the need for breakfast (as I see BIWI has now too) and I find I don't get hungry until lunchtime when low carbing.
Lunch was two boiled eggs and some cheese.
Snack when I got home of a third boiled egg that I wasn't hungry enough for at lunchtime.
Dinner was chicken curry and kale.
Haven't drunk enough water yet as I was out with community nurse today (first day of my latest student nurse placement) and didn't have access to a toilet until after lunch. I was quite dehydrated by then! Making up for it now!

Flibbertyjibbit · 06/02/2017 18:57

Just input my starting bootcamp weight, lost 1st 1lb in the last 3 weeks following bootcamp rules so hoping the next couple of weeks continue to be good losses.

Today I've had:

B: Coffee with double cream
L: Low carb veg & chicken stir fry
D: Sausages & steamed broccoli

I like the idea of intermittent fasting/not having breakfast. Read quite a bit around IF and low carbing.

wombattoo · 06/02/2017 19:04

Flibberty - bear in mind that weeks 4/5 can be notorious for weight stalls. Don't get disheartened, just stick with it. And keep up with the water Wink

dementedma · 06/02/2017 19:10

I have been gaining weight steadily. Am menopausal and on HRT. Will this WoE help stop the fat creep?
It's the kind of diet I can stick to as I don't feel hungry so here's hoping I see a result! Have weighed in

DearPrudence · 06/02/2017 19:30

dementedma I started HRT (peri-menopausal) the same week I started last bootcamp, and lost really well, so hopefully it won't slow you down too much.

mrwalkensir · 06/02/2017 19:32

Hi - hoping low carb will help the hot flushes. Raiding the attic that is the freezer today, so old reduced partridge breasts for tea - never tried them before! With sautéed cabbage and bacon. Took olives and cheese into work for breakfast, alongside some of last nights cauliflower cheese (minimal sauce so hopefully not too carby) and some ham ( that might have some hidden carbs). On an older thread somebody mentioned butter chicken, so think I'll try cooking s big batch up tomorrow - sounds lovely

fleuricle · 06/02/2017 19:41

Can I join pls?

my weight is 117.5KG
or
259lbs

BIWI · 06/02/2017 19:46

mrwalkensir - low carbing should definitely help with the hot flushes. I certainly noticed the difference it made to me. Along with giving up/cutting down on alcohol and coffee.

Welcome fleuricle - I'll go and add you now!

Flibbertyjibbit · 06/02/2017 19:46

Ah thanks for the heads up wombattoo I struggle with the water while out & about with work. Trying to make up for it by drinking gallons in the evening.

BIWI · 06/02/2017 19:47

Oh! There are so many of us, there isn't enough room at the bottom of the spreadsheet to add you Shock

Hopefully wombattoo or Sayrra will be along shortly and will add you. (And some more rows!!!)

OP posts:
BIWI · 06/02/2017 19:50

Oh, and a really easy and low carb cheese sauce:

  • in a small saucepan, heat up 300ml double cream
  • grate 1/3 to 1/2 a small block of mature cheddar
  • add to the hot cream and stir until it melts

season with freshly ground black pepper, a little freshly grated nutmeg (if you like), and a squeeze of lemon juice

Easy, peasy!

BIWI · 06/02/2017 19:51

dementedma I can't see any reason why low carbing shouldn't stop the carb creep (as long as you follow Bootcamp rules, of course!)

Heybebe · 06/02/2017 19:54
