Morning all

Here's the link to the Spreadsheet

So we have four more weeks to go. Chance to lose around another half a stone, if we stay on track Grin

Hope the figures (on the scales as well as yours) are looking good this morning. And good luck for the rest of the week

Ooh I hope I get to the sometimes not hungry flummoxed, how long did that take?

That's what I'm fretting over Stuntnun, I've lost 4lb in 4 weeks. This is my last 10lb stone though, so I don't know if it's last-10lb-syndrome or I'm eating too bloody much!

Thanks for the welcomeSmile

Kleptronic I joined the May Bootcamp, more or less continuous since then. I found my appetite gradually decreased, and it became easier to only eat when hungry/not over eat. I still frequently get it wrong though, eat because I'm stressed etc.

Thanks Veryflummoxed. So the long haul then. I did Bootcamp last summer for 10 weeks and it worked a treat, lost that 10lbs (although I had to chuck in some egg fasts!). Then I went to a wedding. Then I went on holiday. Then it was Christmas...and I'd put a stone back on. Sigh!

Had a lovely lunch, two sausages, mushrooms and spinach cooked in butter! If everything can be this nice then I'm sure I can stick to this way of eating forever.

I know sausages aren't ideal food, but are they ok sometimes? 3.1 carbs per sausage.

wombattoo · 23/11/2016 20:43

I think sausages are ok occasionally, I wouldn't have them everyday. We are supposed to avoid processed food. (You may have to change your nn) Grin
It is good that you are enjoying it so far. Remember to drink PLENTY of water. If you have any questions - ask away. There is always someone around.

Thanks Wombat. Really need to do the shopping - there are some amazing looking dishes on here.

For just over a year I was fat free almost (always had less than 5% fat per hundred grams) which made for a pretty boring diet. It's so lovely to be able to eat cheese and steak and cook in butter.

Hello all. Am still KOKO despite madness at work at the moment. I seem to have fallen into a nice routine where I have a chicken salad and a bit of pate and celery at work and then an evening meal. There MIGHT be a bit of wine and a few nits added in on occasion. Seems to be working tho' as am another 1.5 pounds off this week. I have lots to lose but I'm pretty content at present. This WOE seems v manageable for me.

SeasideRock · 24/11/2016 06:46

Nuts! Not nits! Tho' I do works in a school and there are always a few nits floating around (and I'm guessing they would probably be v low carb...)

Phew my rogue extra 3.5lbs have gone, so I'm back to where I was 2 weeks ago. Spurs me on to maintain this to Monday and not drink it back on at the weekend

Well done guys! Seaside that made me laugh - I've just had my first experience of nits with DD (and autocorrect just tried to put nuts instead Wink )

A sneaky weigh in this morning shows I'm 4 pounds away from getting under 12 stone which would be great before Christmas! Having put on a pound on Monday I'm now down 3 so determined to keep going Grin. I made the lime chilli coconut chicken last night and it was fab.

Yesterday:
B - 2 hb eggs and butter
L - cucumber and pate, babybel x2, swede mash
D - lime, chilli and coconut chicken with swede mash
S - goats cheese wrapped in ham, melted babybel, coffee and cream
W - 2.5L water - could do better!

Today I've had two egg omelette with chorizo and brie, chicken leg for lunch.
Three coffees with cream.
Worked out my protein (0.6g per kg of weight apparently, so 44g) and I've already had that.
Veg and oil for tea, bah!

Callmesausage you can get much lower carb sausages than that! And generally low carb ones will be a higher meat content, so less processed.

Look out for The Black Farmer ones, or check out supermarket top of the range ones (Sainsbury Taste the Difference or Tesco Finest, for example). But make sure you check the label on the packet, as carb counts do vary quite considerably.

I had a disasterous lunch today. We had a "team bonding exercise" which involved spending 3 hours in a blustery, freezing cold wind. By the time we were done, low carb food was the last thing on my mind. I will leave it there and say no more.

Breakfast and dinner were scrambled eggs with cream, butter and cheese and then creamy chicken with broccoli and butter. Water and tea to drink.

Thanks BIWI, I'll look out for those sausages. Finally did a food shop and have lots of lovely low carb food. I really can't believe I can lose weight eating this this!

Dinner was gorgeous, steak with spinach and mushrooms in sour cream, ooh it was so nice.

Well the past 2 days have not been good. DS has had gastroenteritis and has been feeding far more then usual, and I've had a dreadful carb hunger as a result.
Today has been better though, boot camp light as breastfeeding!
B: Ff Greek yoghurt with a few berries (2 tbsp )
L: courgette and prawn omelette fried in butter with cheese on top.
Snack : smoked salmon and cream cheese
Dinner: roast chicken, mushroom and leek cream sauce, broccoli and asparagus.
Not quite enough water but will work on that tomorrow!

I'm like Klep, I eat good sized portions and my stomach would think my throat was cut on what some others eat. I too wait and dream of not being hungry
Today was:
1 rasher bacon, 3 scrambled eggs with cream and butter
1 chicken breast, mixed salad, 1 spoon mayo
2 chicken thighs, sauce made of hi-pro peanut butter, coconut milk, thai green curry paste, and BareNaked rice
Snack - almonds (ate the full bag but less than 5g carbs total)

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Today was easier!
B: yoghurt and 2 tbsp berries
L: roast chicken salad with french dressing
D: chicken courgetti with spinach and cream pesto sauce. and about 6 bits of fusili from DS
Snack: 3 babybel
I have some ketostix left over from having gestational diabetes and had 2+ ketones (moderate) when I checked earlier on. It makes it easier as it reduces my appetite!

Hi all
Sorry I've been absent the last couple of days.
Tempo I think BIWI would tell you that if you are drinking enough water, it will dilute the ketostix, so there isn't really any point using them.

I am a long time low carber and I have to admit that I don't eat through hunger. I eat due to boredom or habit, or thinking that because I am eating low carb snacks - it is ok.

Ivor I challenge you to not eat snacks and wait and see if you are actually hungry. I bet you're not. My DH cooks my tea every day but I have to admit that I eat it but am not really hungry. I am just in the habit of eating tea.
DH cooks all our meals and luckily for me, he cooks low carb meals. He went away in Sept and I came home from work and as tea was not cooked for me, I didn't' cook it. I snacked if hungry but lost 4lb in the weekend that he was away. I'm thinking of asking him not to cook an evening for me. The only problem is, he doesn't eat all day and tea is his main meal. I eat breakfast and lunch at work and don't need tea. Hmm. What to do Confused

We're similar in this house wombattoo although I cook as dh works long hours. I tend to just eat less and keep him company.

I have recently taken to having cream in my tea instead of milk. It may sound like heresy but I find it incredibly satisfying like other people's creamy coffees I guess but I can only drink one coffee per day or I feel sick.

Report
margaritasbythesea · 25/11/2016 20:39

Roibos and cream us lush too.

I may be eating too many nuts. fried salted nuts that you get here and only about 6 g carbs per 100 g. I tend to have a hand full with some ff yogurt and have started doing that about once a day. I should probably stop shouldn't I?
