Morning all!

Sorry for the later than usual start but I have the advantage of a later start myself today so had a bit of a lie-in.

Anyway here's the Spreadsheet of Doom for you all

Just one more week before our final weigh-in next Monday. Fingers crossed that there's time to lose another couple of pesky pounds before then!

Ah yes, nuts are a no=go in the first 2 weeks sadly.

BIWI · 18/07/2016 17:18

Welcome Bloodredtoenails!

First thing to do is to make sure you read Bootcamp rules - follow the link to the spreadsheet, in the OP, and look at the tabs at the bottom. You'll find them there.

Too hot to cook so I did a meat/cheese platter for us all, with different cheeses, pepperoni, salami etc, pickles, salad and pate. They had crackers & baguette with theirs while I made 4 crackery type things from half a Lidl roll, sliced thinly & toasted.

PippilottaViktualia · 18/07/2016 18:08

Welcome Bloodredtoenails! You'll love bootcamp - it's fab!

Love that kind of supper Sestra so yummy, reminds me of home! Smile

I am about to cook cauliflower cheese with three different cheeses, double cream and a few lobster tails through it - can't decide if I need comfort food or a celebratory meal after today! Grin

SestraClone · 18/07/2016 18:20

Where's home, Pippi?

PippilottaViktualia · 18/07/2016 18:24

Lithuania Smile This kind of food is very typical, but I've been in Scotland for more than 10years so I guess that's home really!

lasttimeround · 18/07/2016 18:50

That sounds delicious pippi. Might try it if weather gets crummy again.
I'm feeling very well prepared having realised I didn't fancy more roast chicken I've made meat balls - Italian w parmesan snd Indian with spices. Tasty and easy as snacks or lunches. I've also discovered smoked mackerel and sour cream for quick and cheap. Plus made chocolate fat bombs by melting high cocoa content into butter. The butter I had was salted do I thought why not add Seasalt - odd but yum. And a good alternative to making them with coconut oil which is delicious but pricey.
Pleased with all this prep work. Think I'm going to have a stonking final week of boot camp

SestraClone · 18/07/2016 19:23

I'm Scotland too.

Eva50 · 18/07/2016 19:47

Oooh, I'm in Scotland too! 3lbs this week. I'm ecstatic, that's my best loss (by far) since week 1. A stone altogether. KOKO.

DoctoraNova · 18/07/2016 20:21

Ground almonds = almond flour????

ShockShockShock

SestraClone · 18/07/2016 20:37

I think it's slightly courser than almond flour, but works just as good in recipes.

Veryflummoxed · 18/07/2016 20:47

Left overs today so boring pictures but I'm making myself post as dinner was rather large. I'm getting better at in the bin rather than in me but those vegetables were yummy, plus it was late so I got hungry.

Lunch mushroom soup and Fage ff yogurt

Dinner 2 chicken drumsticks, spinach, roast cauliflower and broccoli.

That's a bummer Titsa have you had a run down of what you're eating? Ditching the dairy broke my stall but I lost less than a pond this week which is a bit disheartening but at least its movement in the right direction. Although i will be 60 before I reach my target weight at this rate!

Pippi Your positive attitude is impressive! I hope a new job turns up soon (if that's what you want).

Veryflummoxed · 18/07/2016 22:40

Yay just finished all my water. A bit late in the day, probably be up and down all night, but I've done it.

BIWI · 18/07/2016 22:54

Titsalina - sorry to hear you're struggling.

Let's try again having a look at your meals - list them out for me

I don't want to jinx it by saying this, but I think I might be properly fat adapted now, with little hunger between meals and not feeling worn out and the leg cramps have gone. Ive got to this stage two or three times over the whole BC but then I seem to fall back out of it and start getting hungry or lethargic and all the while my weight bounces up and down. Maybe it was the dairy - I've been having less since my not entirely successful Ubercamp. Hoping I've cracked it now and it's firmly downwards for the final week!

B: two scrambled eggs in butter, half an avocado, black coffee
L: smoked mackerel pate with cucumber, celery, small carrot and baby gem
D: cheese mustard mayo pork chop with mushrooms, three cherry toms, and spinach rocket wilted in garlic butter
S: three little gherkins (have decided am only allowed to snack on these when cooking!); iced Americano. Just found a tub of Sarah Wilson 'bountiful slices' that I put in the freezer ages ago and realised they are basically bounty bar fat bombs, so I had one. It's made of coconut oil, nuts, raw cacao, dessicated coconut and a few raspberries. Very yum! And can make more low carb in future.

MaryThorne · 19/07/2016 06:27

1.2lb down since the start of my holiday 2 weeks ago. I'm pleased with that as, even though I kept carbs low I didn't drink enough water and I had a glass of wine or two most nights when I normally hardly drink. Starting 3 days of ubercamp today.

margaritasbythesea · 19/07/2016 07:09

Hello all, static here but I'm not surprised. I feel slimmer though and have lost 4cm from round my waist since starting which I good. My weight loss has not been as good as other diets I have been on but lchf just is a totally different thing isn't it. It's been so interesting and also sustainable through a very difficult and busy time for me.

By which I mean to say, thanks BIWI and thus thread. I couldn't and wouldn't have done it without you all.

Off to catch up with everyone's posts.

momofgirls · 19/07/2016 07:11

Please add 157lb to the spreadsheet. Have gone up following the trip to Rome & other celebrations will try hard to get to my lowest & target of 154lb for Monday. Good luck & Koko

margaritasbythesea · 19/07/2016 07:17

Sorry to hear about your job pippi.

Nice to hear about all these losses. Might sit down and plan a no cheese, no processed meat week inspired by it. I've been living hand to mouth just grabbing stuff lately.

DoingItForMyselfAtLast · 19/07/2016 07:38

Sorry about the job Pipi, but well done on the staggering weight loss! My office have made 6 people redundant between Friday and yesterday. Just keeping my fingers crossed I'm not next Sad
I've had a bit if a stall this week, gaining and losing the same pound, which is frustrating, but seems to be a pattern that is emerging with me, as in I lose 2-3 lbs one week and half pound the next, then back to 2-3lbs. But I'm 0.8 down this morning, and a new low on the scales that hasn't been seen for about 9 years, so all good!
Well done everyone, here's to the last week, and onwards!

boldlygoingsomewhere · 19/07/2016 08:55

Weighed myself and as expected I've stayed the same. Doing a fast day today and will prob do another one at the weekend. I think the key for me is to bring my insulin levels does to lower my 'set weight' as explained in The Obesity Code.

SestraClone · 19/07/2016 10:37

How long do you fast for boldly? I can skip breakfast but I can't go longer than lunch!

StuntNun · 19/07/2016 10:54

Sestra you start to see advantages from fasting from as little as 14 hours. That's only 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. which isn't too challenging at all.

SestraClone · 19/07/2016 10:59

That's not so bad! I probably do that daily.
