Morning all. Sorry for the later than usual thread, but I'm away at the moment/1

Anyway, here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

As we've now completed the first two, more strict, weeks of Bootcamp you have a choice. You can move on to Bootcamp Light, (rules are on the spreadsheet tabs), which essentially means you can add in a few nuts/seeds, and some fruit (berries, and strictly in moderation), and you can have alcohol occasionally.

However, if you haven't really done Bootcamp strictly enough, or you cheated, or just because you think it's going well, you can stay on Bootcamp. (If you do, though, please make sure your carbs are mainly coming from vegetables and salad, to make sure that you're getting a good balance of nutrition)

Alternatively, you can do Bootcamp during the week but Bootcamp Light at the weekend. The choice is yours.

However, there is one thing I have to warn you about. Weeks 3 and 4 are notorious for little or no weight loss. If this happens to you, please don't panic! Just keep on keeping on and things will start to move again.

After initial big losses in the first couple of weeks, you can't feasibly expect to see that continue, and you should that weight loss settles down at around 1-3lbs a week, depending on how much you have to lose.

Good luck all! Flowers

S - coyo yogurt

AuntieMaggie · 30/05/2016 20:02

3perfectweemen did it not make you constipated? DP had a lot of eggs when he was training for a big cycling event and he tells me the side effects weren't pretty...

stilllovingmysleep · 30/05/2016 20:19

Made a fabulous dinner tonight and wanted to recommend as very LC friendly. I sautéed some shallots gently until soft, added turkey escalopes which I briefly sautéed on each side for a min until whitened (with salt and pepper), then added double cream which I had mixed with Dijon mustard, lowered flame to the lowest and cooked for about 20 min at most. Added allspice and oregano but you can add any herb you like. Served (to myself!) with herb salad and lemon and a bit of feta. Delicious!!!

No I've been going better actually usually I only go once week but on the eggs I go in evenings. Think it's the fats. First time I lost 6lb in three days although when u transition back to Lchf u going couple back. U need to move back to Lchf slowly eg. Eggs breakfast lunch and then eggs meat for dinner .

Cocoabutton · 30/05/2016 20:31

Just updating, I lost 3lb in the first week, and STS last week. Got AF so I guess that may be why. Sticking with BC for a few more weeks, hopefully to lose 3-4 lbs.

Patapouf · 30/05/2016 20:32

Hi all, just checking in. I'm really struggling to keep up with the threads this BC. I forgot to weigh in today, so I will tomorrow. Hopefully ill have had a little whoosh after STS last week!

KOKO everyone Flowers

StuntNun · 30/05/2016 20:49

Maggie you eat a lot of fat on the egg fast (one ounce per egg) so constipation is unlikely to be a problem. The egg fast isn't something I would generally advise on the Bootcamp threads. It's more for an emergency "need to lose three pounds fast" or if you have been on a weight loss stall for four weeks or so.

SociallyAcceptableCookie · 30/05/2016 20:51

Hi everyone. I'm weighing tomorrow at work so just checking on the new thread. My jeans are getting looser so I won't hang on what the scales say... too much.

TMI: The constipation has been awful this weekend. Blush Tonight I've had Konjac spaghetti for my dinner and I'm hoping that will help. I'm trying to eat lots of veg like celery, cucumber with skin, and peppers but it's just not enough. I'm really looking forward to adding seeds to my food this week. How sad am I?

yongnian · 30/05/2016 20:53

Not checked in for a couple of days...was doing ok til Sat and Sun...
Deep breath, get back on the horse...was doing BC lite as always anyway as I am still breastfeeding.
Scales therefore put me back where I was...174 lb so I gained my loss back :-((((
Complicated by period this week I think...but still...at least I keep water intake up
Better day today
B: Greek yog clotted cream pea butter
L: omelette with Parmesan and cream, cucumber salad
D: barbecued lamb and chicken with salads and mayo
W: 3 litres

yongnian · 30/05/2016 20:54

Could someone add my weight 174 to spreadsheet please.
Ta.

margaritasbythesea · 30/05/2016 21:05

Thank you for the pate suggestions. I will try them!

Today I had scrambled eggs in butter
avocado and bacon salad
pastrami and cream cheese of a snack
burger with coleslaw and caesar salad

StrawberryLeaf · 30/05/2016 21:10

Can someone add me as 217 please?

We went on a uk holiday on Saturday, I'm trying to keep to bc as much as possible but have had alcohol sand a few treats. Don't really feel bad as this is our annual holiday and I'll get back on bc this weekend. So I've not weighed and have no access to scales so I'll go as stay the same and face the damage next week!

IndianaJone · 30/05/2016 21:16

Had a really rubbish day in terms of feeling sick and a bit too regular in the toilet department. Blush Low in energy and motivation meant I had my first cheat with my dinner We had dinner with family and there was a mix of grilled meats and I succumbed to half a hamburger (not home made). Hadn't eaten all day so that definitely had a lot to do with it. Hopefully in the scheme of things this blip wont make too much difference.

2lbs loss this week. Would someone kindly add me to s/sheet. Down to 198lbs. I will be staying on the boot camp for as long as i can.

Well done everyone on your pounds lost.Flowers

Kummerspeck · 30/05/2016 21:21

I am eating really sensibly but am having spells where I am really hungry. I've tried drinking water, waiting 15 mins and thinking if I might be bored, etc but I just feel like I am really hungry although I shouldn't be so am succumbing to nuts and things I'd sooner avoid..

For example today I had:
9.30am - 2 scrambled eggs and a splosh of carton egg white scrambled in a tablespoon of butter with half a Costco frankfurter (2.5g carbs)
1pm - Half an avocado with half a tub Asda prawn cocktail (0.8g carbs) and some salad leaves
By 5pm I was ravenous and knew we wouldn't be eating till about 7pm so ate a pack of macadamia nuts and succumbed to an icy cold can of Vimto Zero (chemical shitstorm but bloody lovely!)
7pm - Barbecued meats, salad leaves and homemade coleslaw followed by 4 strawberries and a blob of mascarpone

I'm happy that I am eating the right types of foods but am struggling to do just 3 meals a day despite drinking a lot and eating more fat than I ever thought I would. I have about 6 stone to lose so I want to persist and get this right
Can anybody suggest anything please?

MissRainbowBrite · 30/05/2016 21:35

Can someone add my weight please, MissRainbowBrite 142lbs
So a 2lb loss, fairly happy with that considering my period started today. I didn't feel anywhere near as bloated in the run up to it and the cravings were much more easily ignored. I only succumbed to a small piece of chocolate on Saturday whereas normally it's a whole bar.
Really looking forward to having a few berries now, I didn't realise how much I enjoyed fruit.
Good luck to everyone for week 3.

Veryflummoxed · 30/05/2016 21:44

Looks and sounds delicious stillloving

Today I had

Brunch. Celery, cheddar cheese, olives

Snack. baby bel

Dinner. Fried prawns, bacon and avocado served on a (very big) bed of dressed salad leaves with fried halloumi and mayonnaise.

Mint tea/black tea.

Out most of the day with limited loo access so held back on the water. This meant I only had a couple of litres today.

CathemeralChild · 30/05/2016 22:05

I've stayed exactly the same at 152. :( However, my boobs are definitely slightly smaller. I think. I hope.
would someone update the spreadsheet for me, thank you. 152lbs
I'm going to stick to BC. I've not bought any more cheese in a bid to cut down my dairy. I'm going to try tinned fish instead. I've got into a water drinking routine too so hopefully will be a loss next week.

Wintersea · 30/05/2016 22:27

Hello lovely low carbers
Still away but thought I'd have a quick catch up. Today I had a big ass fry up brunch (sausage, bacon, 2 eggs, mushrooms fried in butter and a tomato), which kept me going until this eve when I had a massive plate of chicken (fried in butter) and bacon lardons salad with avocado, pine nuts, bit of spring onion, tomato. Snack of olives and feta, two gin and slims and a few strawbs with a dessert full of clotted cream.
Luverly
Now drinking camomile tea
Not enough water so must do better with that tomorrow...
Not sure if the scales will be kind when I get back but am hoping I hv at least stayed the same....
Well done everyone for keeping on (and for those of you with a loss in the scales today) and to everyone getting back on it....
We can do this!

StuntNun · 30/05/2016 23:00

Cookie don't feel you can't take something if you're suffering. Lactulose is one option as it's quite gentle.

Kummerspeck are you eating until you are full at mealtimes? It doesn't sound like you're eating enough. I had three scrambled eggs and two slices of bacon for breakfast then some dark chocolate. For lunch I had chicken salad with oily dressing, two chicken legs and the inside of a pork pie (it was at a picnic that I didn't prepare). For dinner I had a steak with peppercorn cream sauce and salad leaves with oily dressing. I also had a handful of nuts. I'm 9st 7lb and eating like that I'm still losing weight.

bettyblueeyes83 · 30/05/2016 23:07

Mmm everyone's food sounds great. After really going off the food by the end of Diet Doctor challenge last week (I think it was too many leftovers and not enough variety), I'm really enjoying this WOE again.

Breakfast: two soft-boiled eggs with asparagus 'soldiers', coffee with cream
Lunch: Prawns with mayo and Creme fraiche, half an avocado, pan-fried halloumi
Dinner: 'Bangers and mash': Black Farmer sausages baked in tomato/bacon/Rosemary sauce, with swede mash and wilted greens
Some Greek yoghurt with splash of cream and vanilla powder
Snacks: tea, bouillon

Dinner was from cookbook Real Meal Revolution (which is 'Banting' - as far as I can tell, low carb high fat) and it was so delicious...

Joined a new gym today, which is really exciting after being injured and off weight-bearing exercise for six months!!

bettyblueeyes83 · 30/05/2016 23:08

Oh and thank you mothership, I'm looking forward to trying the pancakes and vanilla butter!!

readyforno2 · 30/05/2016 23:42

Marking my place and popping in my numbers. 181.3.. Almost 2 down from last week.

Have to admit I've kinda broken the rules. Had two glasses of prosecco tonight. But, in my defence I bagged a wee promotion today. As of the next academic term, I will be the manager of the nursery I work in. I was stupidly nervous this morning, couldn't have any breakfast..

Anyway, I will read the full thread tomorrow. Well done losers, KOKO to those who are a wee bit disheartened

stilllovingmysleep · 30/05/2016 23:49

Socially acceptable cookie be careful with the Konjac pasta!! Make sure to not forget to drink loads of water with it.

MothershipG · 31/05/2016 05:35

Congratulations on the promotion Ready! I think that entirely justifies your small celebration. Smile

I'm up ridiculously early again due to needing a wee and then not being able to get back to sleep. How long will it take my bladder to adjust? I find it distinctly more challenging to stick to this woe when I am tired. Confused

blackteaplease · 31/05/2016 06:39

Oh dear Lord I have put on 3 lbs. I have had low lying sinusitis for weeks and really struggled to stay low carb last week.
