Morning all. Sorry for the later than usual thread, but I'm away at the moment/1

Anyway, here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

As we've now completed the first two, more strict, weeks of Bootcamp you have a choice. You can move on to Bootcamp Light, (rules are on the spreadsheet tabs), which essentially means you can add in a few nuts/seeds, and some fruit (berries, and strictly in moderation), and you can have alcohol occasionally.

However, if you haven't really done Bootcamp strictly enough, or you cheated, or just because you think it's going well, you can stay on Bootcamp. (If you do, though, please make sure your carbs are mainly coming from vegetables and salad, to make sure that you're getting a good balance of nutrition)

Alternatively, you can do Bootcamp during the week but Bootcamp Light at the weekend. The choice is yours.

However, there is one thing I have to warn you about. Weeks 3 and 4 are notorious for little or no weight loss. If this happens to you, please don't panic! Just keep on keeping on and things will start to move again.

After initial big losses in the first couple of weeks, you can't feasibly expect to see that continue, and you should that weight loss settles down at around 1-3lbs a week, depending on how much you have to lose.

Good luck all! Flowers

drunk alcohol I mean. I have drunk countless litres of water. I am working from home and I am drinking constantly. And peeing constantly.

anniebambammie · 30/05/2016 15:27

Thanks Cider- that's definitely a bonus!!

I've eaten so much today that I've got that ughh feeling, like i am going to stack on the weight. Today was the first time I've thought, hmm maybe I should just eat less too.... Which I KNOW is a recipe for disaster, restrictive diets never work for me! I will go drink some more water and hopefully my tummy settles by tomorrow!

MothershipG · 30/05/2016 16:20

bettyblueeyes83 Yes! just melted butter with vanilla stirred in, I had salted butter but I'm going to use unsalted next time for it's 'sweeter' flavour. I have Prewett's ground flaxseed, because that's what Morison's sell, it's only 1.6g carbs/100g which is a lot less than the coconut flour and I think it would do the job.

stillloving I'm loving the look of your brunch! Grin Did it taste as good as it looks?

annie I think we are supposed to start to listening to our bodies and stopping eating when we are not hungry. This woe has certainly highlighted for me that I eat for lots of reasons that have nothing to do with hunger - pure pleasure being the main one!

I've just made some celeriac chips, they are lovely! I panicked a bit when I was chopping it because the celery smell was really strong but they don't taste of celery at all! Thank goodness!

Top tip: don't over cook your kale chips, they get bitter and inedible, yuk.

AuntieMaggie · 30/05/2016 16:27

Thanks BIWI

I've actually been drinking more than my amount of water as I forgot to adjust it when I lost weight so been aiming for 4.5 litres when it was 3.5 litres.

I'm frustrated because the scales are moving really slowly but my jeans are hanging off me. Too scared to measure myself with a tape measure though!

I've got 6 weeks til girls holiday to Marbella so would like another half a stone before then (it was a stone but it's not happening despite best efforts) and whilst away I will try to stick to clear spirits, stay away from bread and pasta as much as possible and drink plenty of water! I may just sleep on the beach the whole time while the others party as I need a rest from DS lol!

BursarsFrogs · 30/05/2016 16:29

Today's food:

B: BPC (still undecided about it) and an avocado
L: mozzarella salad
S: matcha tea with cream and one piece of 85% chocolate
D: lamb chops, swede chips and some spinach

MothershipG · 30/05/2016 16:29

margaritasbythesea I made some Kale crackers using
this pizza crust recipe but replacing the breadcrumbs with ground flaxseed. It's not exactly fabulous on it's own but a brilliant base for some pate.

Now were allowed some nuts I'm going to try this recipe form Ditch the carbs it looks like proper crackers!

MothershipG · 30/05/2016 16:30

we're now we're allowed some nuts!

Mookbark · 30/05/2016 16:39

margarita have you tried pate on either baby gem lettuce or in the groove of a piece of celery? Both taste surprisingly good and have the crunch you need with the pate.
Today I have had:
B - two creamy coffees, halloumi and olives
L - prawn cocktail with salad. I made my own Marie Rose sauce and although a bit tart on its own, went lovely with the prawns. Also had hm vinaigrette on the salad
D - will be roast beef, celeriac/leek mash, broccoli and green beans with gravy made from the meat juice and leeks/ shallots. I will avoid the roasties and Yorkshire puds! Pudding is going to be strawberries and cream and I am ridiculously excited about having them. Grin

MaryThorne · 30/05/2016 16:45

Lunch at nearby American-style diner: cheeseburger without the bun with bacon and pickle. Delicious! Smile

Week 3 - Pre-summer Low Carb Bootcamp - the choice is yours!
WanHeda · 30/05/2016 16:56

Looks yummy Mary! Weirdly, that's exactly what I am making for my dinner tonight, bacon cheeseburgers.

Mookbark · 30/05/2016 17:01

Bugger! DH has gone and mashed the celeriac and leek with milk. God knows why, he's done it lots of times before and should know I use butter and cream. This is the first time I hadn't specifically told him how to do it. V. Frustrating. I'm going to have to eat some of it or there won't be enough other food to fill me up. Next dilemma, is that we usually freeze half for a later date. Do I still freeze it and eat or throw it away?
Mary I've become a big fan of the bunless burger. I'm started to wonder why anyone would need a bun.

StuntNun · 30/05/2016 17:07

One pound off this week so I'm very happy with that.

Eleven it can take a month or more to get completely fat-adapted. When you are then exercise becomes a lot easier as you have consistent energy, even if you exercise fasted. It's not just being able to freely access your fat stores, there's some complicated action that recycles lactic acid into ketones or something bonkers like that so you can work out anaerobically for longer - particularly useful if you're doing HIIT or you're running/cycling up a steep hill.

MushroomTree · 30/05/2016 17:23

Forgot to weigh this morning. Bank holiday has thrown me out! Fingers crossed for a bit of a whoosh this week.

I've finally managed to up my water intake but think I might have overdone it yesterday because my watter tracking app said I'd had 4 litres!

eleven59 · 30/05/2016 18:04

Thanks StuntNun - I'm looking forward to that.

Food today:
B 2 slices cheese, natural yoghurt
L Trout, spinach and olives
D Chicken fried, guacomole, mashed celeriac, lettuce

Drinks water, 3 bpc

Billionnairewannabe · 30/05/2016 18:14

Well done everyone, some great losses. Pleased to report 4lb loss. I am now 0.25 over 12stone & desperate to get under 12! I've been a bit sporadic posting this bc mainly because been extremely busy work & family wise, and also I now find as a 2nd timer that I'm mainly eating the same things so rather boring!
Margarita - pate on lettuce gems are great (from an ex-bread lover!)
Looking forward to my coconut porridge - my preferred lite breakfast! KOKO everyone.

HumphreyCobblers · 30/05/2016 18:18

Hello everyone. Really pleased as I have been staying away but still managed to eat according to the bootcamp rules. I may have had a few gin and slimline though. It is really hard being away with the toddler, he just doesn't sleep away from his own bed. So doubly pleased I stuck to plan even though I am totally knackered.

My poor dsis, she just couldn't fathom my strange eating habits and kept offering me rice and peas Grin

NotdeadyetBOING · 30/05/2016 18:32

So - I just had the most delicious supper. Meatballs with aubergine parmigiana… Very tasty INDEED. Only trouble is, although total day's carb count only 40g, calories were far too high at about 2500.

blackteaplease · 30/05/2016 18:32

I forgot it was Monday today so will weigh in tomorrow. Just marking place to lurk on thread.

Pengweng · 30/05/2016 18:36

Well done everyone!

Todays food has been:

Breakfast: Mushrooms, pancetta and left over broccoli cooked in butter with a fried egg on top
Lunch: 5 cherry tomatoes, 1 tbsp oil and 1 ball of mozzarella with some basil leaves
Dinner: Home made burgers (just minced beef and salt and pepper) with salad, avocado and some cheese crackers (baked cheese that's gone crispy) for some texture.
Snacks: Some baked cheese crackers as I had to test them to make sure they were ok Grin

Over 3 litres of water today so far plus 3 black coffees so def better than yesterday where i drank too much coffee and not enough water. The kids were having ice pops earlier though and I got jealous so went nuts and put some ice and lemon in my water. haha

Titsalinabumsquash · 30/05/2016 18:49

I had some fennel encrusted pork belly for dinner ( 1 strip ) with lots of buttered garlic spinach and broccoli mash with cream and butter, it was heavenly!

3perfectweemen · 30/05/2016 18:50

Hi everyone I can't get to a computer would any on kindly add my weight as 136.6 today Smile
Been doing this way of eating around ten weeks now weight loss slowed down slot but thankfully scales going right way again. Done egg fast for three days broke my stall Grin

Titsalinabumsquash · 30/05/2016 18:50

How did you find egg fast?

MaryThorne · 30/05/2016 19:02

Mook it really was great and I agree, I don't think that the bun really adds to it and if I had eaten all that plus a bun I know I would have felt bloated and horrible.

NotDead I'm sure someone more experienced will come along soon to confirm but my understanding is that you shouldn't be worrying about the calories, it's your carb intake which is important. Smile

3perfectweemen · 30/05/2016 19:05

I found it on fb. Egg fast stall breaker diet. It really works I have done it twice to break my stalls.

lisbapalea · 30/05/2016 19:42

all good today - dinner was delicious:

B - coyo, ff Greek, dessicated coconut, berries
L - salad of spinach, yellow pepper, avocado, chilli and an oily dressing, topped with 3 flat pieces of pepper each topped with 2 slices of goats cheese and then whacked under the grill
D - bbq'd salmon fillet that had been marinaded in tandoori paste, bbq'd prawns, cauliflower roasted in oil with cumin seeds, homemade raita, spinach wilted in loads of butter with garlic. Was amazing!!
